*Johnny's P.O.V*

"We're going to be parents!" I said to myself.

"Yes Johnny, I know, you've been saying that since we left the hospital" Nessie giggled as she sat on the couch in our cave.

"We're going to be parents!" I repeated, pacing around the living room.

"Did I break you or something?" she grabbed my shoulders "can you say anything else? anything?"

"Your going to be a mommy! I'm going to be a daddy!" I pointed to both of us. 

She laughed.

 I got down on my knees and kissed her still flat belly. "And you are going to be adorably scary" I whispered to the baby inside.

It was almost morning and Nessie and I were getting ready for bed. Nessie sat in bed reading a book called A guide for monster mommies while I was in the bathroom sharpening my teeth.

"You know, monster pregnancy is a lot more different then human pregnancy" she told me from the bed.

"How so?" I asked, sharpening my incisor tooth.

"Well, humans are pregnant for nine months, monsters are only pregnant for five"

"Hmm" I said "maybe monster baby's grow faster?"

She shrugged turning a page. "Oh! This is cool! By the second month the father will be able to hear the baby's thoughts!" she read.

"Really?" I said getting into bed with her. 

Nessie continued to read until I took the book and placed it on my nightstand.

"Hey! I'm going to lose my page!" she said leaning over to get the book off my nightstand.

I grabbed her by the waist and tossed her back to her spot on the bed. "You read too much as it is" I said "And all reading and no loving makes Johnny a dull boy."

"The shining? Really?" she said.

I smirked and kissed her, her tongue danced with mine as we started to make out.

Then she pulled away giggling.

"What?"I asked.

"The baby kicked" she smiled "feel it."

I put my hand on her belly and there it was. Our baby squirming inside of Nessie.

"That's cute" I said "now where were we?" I leaned in for a kiss.

"Actually I'm kind of tired" she said caressing her stomach lovingly.

"What?" I said "Oh,come on!"

"Just for tonight" she said giving me puppy dog eyes.

I sighed "fine, for tonight"

"Thank you" she said kissing my cheek.

I turned off the lamp beside me and to be honest I felt pretty jealous of the baby. Could Nessie love the baby more than me?
