"Here you go dear. I packed you some vegetables along with the rice to make porridge and for yourself. A few rice balls to eat on the road and slices of fish." Sana, the old woman, smile as she handed the supplies to Kotoha.

"You didn't have to do this."

"Nonsense. You been helping out my wife while we were gone." The Nishi, Sana husband, who was by her side and grinned. "You sure you don't want to stay?"

Error stayed two weeks in the fish village. Got to say it was very nice.

Besides that odd humanoid fish carcass incident. But shrugged that away as they were the one who admitted to eating and killing little ones.

The people were nice after getting use to them. It was so odd not be given looks of hate. Till they had to remind themselves they are a human. Along with this world has no destroyer.

The kids were interesting bunch. Curious little imps. Trying to see if they can see them without the bandages. Make it a game. May have occasionally played along to make them think they were about to take it off. Their puffed-up cheek furious reactions were worth it. But got to admit sweet when they want to watch Inosuke. A lot of declines on that.

Did surprise many children with plushies they made. Very small and miniature sizes animals. If they asked how they had the time. Just told them passing the time traveling. Which wasn't a lie. Made sure everyone had at least one. Even went up the hill of one the sick children had to stay and rest. Along with another extra to a child to give to their sibling who about to be born. Very fierce and determined to do so.

Children are so interesting.

Got a lot of approving looks from families and the villagers. So, guess that a good thing.

Only time they really get like slightly annoyed when people asked about their past. Gave those vague answers or none. Or would use their baby to be excuse from certain topics.

Especially the husband one.

Stayed with Sana even when her husband and two sons came back. They didn't seem to mind especially she been helping. Their expression was humorous when they easily pulled the net out that had fishes.

What? They were being helpful and wasn't too heavy.

Did some sewing with a few clothes that Sana didn't have time to fix. Some cleaning around the house. May have made sure the home and few others were protected with strong magic. So, like no bad weather won't be able to bring them down. Error with was taught how to cook certain things with fish and how to cut it properly. Along with the rice porridge for Inosuke. Plus, fishing.

The fishing they admit wasn't bad and calming. Prefer doing it at nighttime. Get to star gaze and catch a few fishes.

It was nice.

Even if the men, and some woman, began to be very odd around them. Whenever they stay too long Inosuke would start to cry. Cry so loud they would have to walk away.

"It would be nice, but we should keep going. Isn't that right piglet?" Error looked down at Inosuke.

Earn a happy squeal.

"You heard the little man."

The old couple couldn't help but laugh. But did look serious, especially Nishi.

"Are you sure. Don't like the idea a young mother with a child traveling this early."

"We'll be fine." Look at the pair and bow their head slightly. "Thanks again."

"Do visit when you can again. Want to see how much little Inosuke grown into." Sana cooed tickling Inosuke chin and earn a happy giggle. Error watches as their one eye just watches. Yet, did move away like they did the first meet with Sana.

Would this be what a grandmother supposed to be like to their grandkids?

"I'll make sure one day."

"Along with no bandages." Sana looks up at her. "As lovely as your eye is. Would be nice to see the rest."

"Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh."

"Mhmm! Who knows maybe one our soOUCHHH!" Jump on their foot as their wife step on him.

"Will be sad to not see you head off." Sana smile at her. While their forehead twitch at what her husband tried to do.

"Is he okay?"

"I saw a bug on his foot."

"Okay."

Error soon waving goodbye to them. Along with anyone else passed by. Glance back out at the sea. Then back at the village.

One day coming back will be nice.

Kept walking on the trail till they go to the forest.

The next few weeks were walking, feed Inosuke and walking. Now and then help out an animal situation. Feels like they are getting the hang of it each time they do it. Felt, nice to help out. Just even for a little bit.

Error was surprised to arrive in the next village. Maybe they should slow down on the walking?

Well, the village look bigger. Along with a river that was close by. Made them weary to go there. Till they notice how everything looks decorated and being setup close to the area by the river. Stayed hidden and open the CHECK to give them idea.

Lantern Festival?

Read the details over it. A lot of it was very confusing to Error. It was apparently the last day of the festival. But it seems very important around this time. Glance at the details about remembering lost loved ones. Sneered at it but then stop at a few memories and when they kept reading. Look at the CHECK for a while and then close it. Look at Inosuke as they rub their eyes from a nap. "Want to see the festival?"

Got a tired yawn and nuzzle close. Held their boar plushy close.

"Hmm yeah let's go check it out."

Can do some shopping later for Inosuke. Already out of rice, vegetables and fruits. Could check to see what they have here. Then grow whatever left over in the portal world. Like they did with carrots, apples and berries.

When they enter the town. Did not expect so many people. It wasn't overly pack in the streets but probably later on when night time approaches. It depend on the area you in. Not just including the riverbank where the event takes place at night time.

Apparently, it was of the best places to come to do Lantern festival.

Kept walking as they passed by stores, food stands, and soon even stands to do a few games. Saw shrine a lot of people were going to get charms. One point have to move out the way as a parade was starting. Music in different directions. Kids running around and playing.

Did find a workshop where you can buy a lantern. Already made if you don't make your own. Even a setup stands to decorate the lanterns with pictures and wishes. Study the lanterns with different designs and words on it. Actually, admiring the work. Glance over at families began to make their own.

They'll come back to buy one when it closer.

Just use the time to shop what they need to get. Then look and walk around. Got pouty not able to find anything with chocolate. Stop to rest when Inosuke got hungry. After that went to a few game stands to just watch. Only played one game so far. Just hit the target game. Not for them but to win a child a prize.

"Thank you!" The little boy smiles up at him as they held the toy.

"Its fine Imp. Go play with your friends." Motion him to go as he laugh and go play with their friends. Watch them for a bit and glance down at their awake child. "Hmm the sun about to go down. Want to go get a lantern and spot?"

The little boy munch on their toy while talking.

"Sounds like a good plan."

Arrive back at the workshop and bought a lantern. Along with the little boat and candle they will sit on. Sat down with the ink and paint. Glance at it and shake their head. Got to work with steady hands as they paint. Ignore the twisted situation they had to use ink. Wait for it to dry and gathered everything. Turn around to head off passing a few groups of people.

CLANK!

Stop and lower their head down. Tilt it and kneel down to pick up the item.

A metal gold fan?

Blink and look around. Then turn around to see a figure walking away. Sees them wave a shiny familiar fan. Walk over in fast speed. Sees a hat of some kind on their head. "Hey blondie."

The taller figure stops and turn around. Then look down at them slightly.

"You drop this." Bring up metal fan. Wait. Do they have rainbow eyes? Then again that like him questioning why they have platinum blonde hair. Eh logic left the building long time ago about this world.

"Oh, my goodness!" The man was patting himself down and then laughed awkwardly. "How so embarrassingly. This never happen before."

"Right." Still holding it out to them.

"Why thank you so much." Smile and took them back.

"It's nothing."

"No, really it means so much! Quite precious to me!" Nuzzle the fans against his face.

"Yeah. Okay. Get it your children."

"Your baby?" The man smiles and point at the baby.

"No, I stole him from the wicked orphanage." Gave him a deadpanned look.

They stare at him. Bit their lips a bit and then let out a laugh. "You're funny!"

Error just stared at them and shrug. "We got to go."

"Of course. Of course! Have fun at the festival!"

"Sure. You too" Took off and glance down at Inosuke. "Well, that was awkward. Don't you agree piglet?"

Inosuke gave them a pouty look.

"I'll take that as a yes."

Went to the riverband but was far, far away from everyone. Just so it can be the two of them. Sat down on the ground by the water. The paper lantern already set up to go float. Just need to light it up. Look back up at the moon and stars shinning down.

Close their eyes for a bit. Till Inosuke began to cry. Look at the little one crying and hands out to their face. Move closer as they were trying hard to get the bandages off. Their eye softens a bit as they unwrapped the bandages. Inosuke doesn't seem to like it when they wear them a lot. Full face and eye shown. "Better?"

A mix between a coed and then a tired cry. Not got much of a nap in today. Rock them close but it didn't seem that'll be enough today. Look out as they start to see lights. One light after another. Glance at their own lantern. Pull out the match and with a swipe lit it. Goes to light the candle in the lantern.

Watch the inside glowed orange. It was alluring to look at. Glance at the words that they wrote down.

Forgiveness.

Sorrow.

Safe.

New Beginning.

They really hope the others are safe. Doesn't know what will happen to everyone after the balance breaks and can't be fix. But hopefully peace and one day forgive them. Grab the lantern and hold Inosuka close. Stand up and walk into the water. Not all the way in. Sat the lantern down.

Watch it flows down the river. Maybe it might be able to join the others soon. Error wouldn't say they are religious in any way. But spiritually this felt kind of relieving.

Stayed in the water for a while till they decided it was time to go. Walk out and headed back to the forest. Small wave of their hand a portal opens below them.

Now going back to almost an hour ago.

Doma hums watching the figure walk off with the baby. Stare at the midnight-black to faded blue hair that flowed down. His mind went back to those pretty pale green eye. Face wraps up in bandages. Must have gotten severely hurt and burn to hide themselves.

Tt would be rude to let them walk alone. After all, could have run off with their fan. But was being so thoughtful to bring it back.

Such a sweet stupid human. Also, funny!

Did they actually laugh from something funny? Like not a fake laugh?

Curiosity risen off and walk off. This is a rare sensation they get. Unless it was eating.

"Lord Doma- "

"Go right ahead without me." Doma smile as he waves everyone off. Going in the same direction that the girl went. Kept walking till it look like the scent left the village into the woods.

Tsk, tsk, tsk.

Doesn't she know their bad people and demons that could be in there.

Walk in and took a while to find them. But at last, they did! Just staying hidden in the tress and watch the girl sit down with the baby. The water latern by their side. Wonder what they would be praying for and who. Then left when they heard the baby cry. Then hear them speak. Oh! Getting a face reveal! Was it scars? Or burns? Maybe a missing eye! Would be a sight to see.

Their face moves to the side and brushes their hair away. The moon shining down to see their face. Along with their own vision.

Doma eyes widen.

They were beautiful!

That just not him making a statement. He crossed many pretty and gorgeous people over the years. But really never let if affect him at all.

But this!

Fair skin with entrancing features that stole his breathe away. Freckles, for some odd reason, glowing. Made him want to poke them. Would she pout? Would she feel embarrassed? Try to look angry but couldn't hold it long as she just would be too adorable. The left eye a gorgeous sapphire with a gold ring. Both eyes unique and enchanting.

It was the smile that really struck him first. A smile that feels like no one else deserved to see. It brightens up the whole area that he would compare it brightness to the moon.

He wants it.

Blink.

Did he actually feel something? Wait? What kind of want? Want to eat? Or the other want?

Tap their chin to figure out this dilemma they are in. Then used his finger to tap the side of head. Sharp finger and with their own puncture through the flesh, into his skull, and went to his temples. Come on brain give me something!

Go deep in their thoughts, literally, they didn't even see them leave.

He thinks they found something! It was laughable for him as a demon but was so curious! Pull the finger out and blood spurt out till it began to heal. "I'll talk to her! That's right talk and see if that odd feeling comes back. Should I get something to eat first? Wait? Where they go?!"

Doma look around and try to find them. But nothing, began to pout and feel. Well, they not sure? Still figuring out if it could be emotions or interest. Or both. He likes both. Doesn't get to like many things.

"Oh phooey! Wait? Oh! This would actually be fun! Like a treasure hunt! Im so excited! Im going to find you pretty star and your little one too!"

This will be so much fun!

Error and Inosuke had a good time at the festival! Now growing strawberries, mikan, peach, nameko, daikon, and cabbage. What? Error going to make Inosuke at least have food in the future.

Error oblivious as always getting attention even with the bandages.

Doma. Yeah. He a nutjob. That's the 'nicest' way to put it.
