Chapter Four (ToucheDorkz)

Warnings: Gore, monster, fear, kidnapping, anceit

Virgil's eyes widened, he couldn't make out what the...figure. No. Who. The figure was. The figure moved closer in a quick motion. Virgil took a quick step backwards to avoid this, 'person'. The gravel around his feet scrunched and cracked. The figure tilted it's head, still in the shadows, seeming to be scanning Virgil. It took another step forward. Virgil's heart skipped a beat, he recoiled backwards.

The worst happened, so fast. It happened so fast. Virgil tripped, landing on the ground hard. Blood surfaced on one of his grazed hands. Virgil lifted his hand staring at it as metallic blood dripped slowly. The sight of it had been so distracting. So time warping. It was like everything was tuned out completely. It was peacefully. That peace had immediately snapped away just as quick as it had come. When the monster was so close. Virgil scrambled away, he winced as the graze on his hand scraped the gravel roughly.

Virgil's head snapped right up at the monster. It towered over him menacingly. Grinning like a madman. It's teeth were wolf-like and as yellow as the sun. It's was disgusting... It's breath, oh the breath! Such a revolting scent. It smelled horrible. Oh so horrible! The eyes were the worst though. Those damned eyes. Such sadistic eyes. Such, such sadistic eyes. They glowed in the moonlight that shone through the cracked window.

Virgil took a second to studied the actual monster, it was huge. That was for one. It had fur, but stood on two feet. The fur was mattered. And smelt of blood. Blood. It was a distinguishable smell. It was surreal how distinguishable it was. But the study was short lived. As the monster lifted a hand...or was it a paw? It's claw scraped Virgil's cheek. It had seemed so soft. But the touch shook his body. Chills up his spine. His neck burned. Tears welling in his eyes.

The monster had moved it's hand to touch Virgil's cheek. Softly. Somehow soothingly. Such a way that would calm someone down. But due to well...it's appearance. It didn't work. It did the exact opposite. Virgil shivered. Barely blinking. Tears drifted down his cheeks. Hitting the ground with a wet spatter. The monster grinned again. Seeming to have enjoyed his tears.

Virgil gulped. He tried to avoid the monsters eyes as it took his face. Scanning his pale skin. The fear in his eyes. His fast breaths. His fingers and how they were digging into his already grazed hands, drawing more blood then was already there. It let go. Standing upright fully. Virgil had a feeling of peace for a short second. He thought that maybe the thing would let him go! That he'd be okay! That he could go back to Thomas! See his friends. Taste Patton's cookies. Train with Roman. Read with Logan. Play just dance with Remus! He'd spend time with Janus and his snakes! He'd be okay, he would be able to do all the things he did before. Family game nights. Movie nights! Singing. Disney. He'd be able to do all the things he loved!

The monster growled. Taking Virgil out of his fantasy. That feeling of peace crippled like a piece of paper. Virgil was back into panic. He glanced to the monsters hand. A large metal object. His eyes widened. His heart almost completely stopped. Things slowed down. He was scared. He was horrified. He looked back up. The monster smirked. As it raised it's hands. In a way that you just knew it was going to hit something. Virgil took a strong short breath and cried out loud.

It hit him. It it him so hard. The pain shook his entire head. Warm blood dripped down his head. Down his cheek. Down his neck. Dripped onto his clothes. Staining his white shirt that he wore. His body slumped. He couldn't control his body. The monster slipped it's hand around his legs. Lifting it into the air. He felt his body be dragged. His body ragdoll. His vision darkened. Things faded. Everything was gone. What had he gotten himself into...?

Thomas recounted what he had saw vividly. Roman, Patton and Logan had found Thomas panicking and in such shock. So much shock he couldn't breath. He couldn't move. He couldn't handle everything that'd happened. The fear in Virgil's eyes. How he had lost his consciousness so quickly. Thomas had seen the lifelessness in his eyes. But he knew he was alive. He had to be. He had to be alive. He couldn't be dead. He was breathing. Right? Yes! He was breathing. He was definitely breathing. God he hoped he was breathing.

The others were shocked. They were afraid. They felt so many emotions. Even Logan was scared for Virgil. The poor emo. Who they all cared for so much. Even Janus and Remus. No matter how much they'd deny it. Patton was crying. Roman was trying to comfort him. Logan was pacing. Trying to gather his thoughts. Even Janus and Remus were there. Remus stood there. Silent. Silent as could be. And Janus? Oh Janus. He was scratching at the walls. He was angry. Oh how angry he was. You could feel the tension from the corner he was in.

"Thomas, why didn't you call us as soon as all of this happened? You do realize that we can come to your side by will. It was extremely unnecessary of the fact that you didn't. So please explain why." Logan spoke quickly but sternly. Finally breaking the silence in the room. He looked fixedly at Thomas, at the state he was in.

Thomas was sat on the ground, running his fingers through his hair roughly. Pulling hair out as his eyes were red from crying. Patton shifted towards him, taking his hands into Thomas'. Nodding to Thomas to explain.

"Well...I don't know...I was just afraid. It, it happened all so fast. It was so terrifying...I just. My mind was racing. God... I don't know where it took him. I don't even know if he's alive. I just... God..." Thomas spoke quietly, staring into Patton's comforting eyes.

A noise shook the entire room. They all looked up towards Janus. The wall was cracked. His fist was bleeding. He hit the wall again. And again. And again. "GOD DAMMIT!" He yelled loudly. Venom in his voice. Remus rushed to his side, grabbing his arms to stop him.

Roman stood, "De- Janus. Stop it. We know you're upset. But you need to stop. We'll get him back together. We'll get the emo back together." He spoke quickly, you'd barely be able to understand what the hell he was saying.

Janus glared at Roman. His pupils slit. "We'll? No. I'm. Going to find him. You all are not going ANYWHERE." He spat and hissed his words. Anger was so evident in his voice that it put everyone on even more edge.

Patton stood as well, "No! No! We'll all look for him okay? We all need eachother! Just...Calm down. Okay? We'll all find him. Okay? Calm down Janus."

"Yes, indeed." Logan spoke, "This is incredibly unjustified. You need to realize that we'll all find him. And stop raising your voice. Your causing Thomas more anxi... sorrow."

Janus growled, "Shut up Logan! You don't tell me what to do! You ALL. Are staying here. Take care of Thomas~ I. Am leaving. I'm. Going to find him. And don't you dare mention...Someone who could be gone...Whatever." Janus got up and walked towards where Virgil was last seen.

Roman and Remus followed, both telling him to wait. Only to both be knocked to the ground rather quickly. "Don't. Follow me. Don't you dare follow me. Don't. You Dare. Follow. Me." He put up a hand. Roman and Remus stared. They didn't dare to speak anymore. Nor move and get up.

Janus took that has his time to leave. He walked silently. Looking around. He saw the struggle by the finger marks that clawed through the gravely ground. Janus growled. He clenched his fists. He Felt so angry. He was so angry. So. Damn angry.

Janus left. The others stared at eachother. They all knew it was a bad idea to let janus leave. They knew it was going to end horribly. That blood was going to be shed. Oh all the blood was going to be shed. Janus was going to kill this monster. The person who hurt Virgil. He was going to beat it until he couldn't anymore.

~~~
Janus walked silently but hurriedly. He wanted to find Virgil and fast. But he had no idea where he'd start. He stood for a second. Weighing his options. What could he even do? How could he get to Virgil. The sides couldn't go to eachother. Though they could go to Thomas. It was stupid. It was so fricking stupid. So. Fricking. Stupid. Why couldn't it just be simple? Why couldn't it just be simple. WHY COULDN'T IT JUST BE SIMPLE? Janus took a second to take a breather. So he could calm himself. He sighed loudly.
Janus kicked the ground. He scoffed and fell on the ground. He punched it. Again and again. He cursed. How would he find Virgil? How the hell would he find Virgil. How. Would he find Virgil. What if he was dead? What if he was truly gone? What if he'd find Virgil lying there. What if he had truly passed. Janus didn't want to think about that. He stayed in his place for a bit. He stayed there trying to collect his thoughts.
He stood up. Brushed himself off and walked again. Listening for anything. Maybe a breath? It had only been around an hour since Virgil had gone missing. He couldn't have gone far. He couldn't have gone far at all. Well...It. Took him. Janus thought of how Thomas described the monster. It scared all the others. But Janus. It just made him want to destroy it more. Stop it from ever making others like it.
Janus stared at the sky. He imagined getting to Virgil. Giving him a hug. Getting him. Saving him. Having Virge in his arms. Knowing that he was okay. That he would be able to thrive. That filled Janus with determination. He knew that he couldn't give up. He knew that he'd never return to the others until he got Virgil. Or at least closure.
That's when he heard it. That scream. That scream. The scream that made Janus' blood turn cold. He immediately recognized it. He recognized it immediately. Virgil. It was Virgil. He was alive...He was alive! He was alive! Janus started running. Towards the sound. The scream stopped suddenly. But he didn't stop. He kept running. He ended up at a clearing. He stopped. He gazed around. A trap door?
Janus walked to it. He opened it. Stairs. Stairs lead down. He decided that he would go. Virgil could be there. He ran so fast that he almost slipped. Janus got down the stairs. There was a long hallway. He almost puked. The hallway was splattered in blood. Some new. Some old. Janus wondered how long this had been going on. And how many victims there were.
Janus opened a door. Virgil was there. Janus practically leaped towards Virgil. Who was tied up in a chair. Blood in his hair. New bloody scars through his face and down his arms. He cradled Virgil's face. "...J-Janus...? Is that you...?" Virgil's voice was hoarse, "I-Is...Is Thomas okay?"
Janus nodded, untying Virgil and practically thrusting himself into Virgil's chest, "I...I was so worried..." He let a tear escape as he looked up to Virgil who was smiling slightly. Virgil hugged him tightly. Thanking him. Janus wiped his eyes, looking at the taller side.
There was a scraping noise. A noise of feet walking but not taking steps. Virgil and Janus' necks snapped towards the noise. The monster. It glared at Janus. Growling. Janus' fists clenched. He. Was. Going. To. Kill. This. Damn. Monster.
