Disagreement

In his subconsciousness Oliver sensed a dull knock. However, it wasn't loud enough to wake the boy up from his slumber. With a soft sigh the blonde turned around and continued his sleep. He pulled the blanket over his head - the morning cold let him shiver.

Yet he couldn't remain in that position too long as Yohio entered his room and pulled his blanket away.

"Stand up already!" Yohio shouted and threw the blanket to the other end of the bed. Oliver strechted himself and grumbled, probably curses. The older one acted as if he didn't hear it and walked back to Oliver's door.

"Breakfast is almost ready."

Those words managed to make Oliver open his eyes. He looked at his door Yohio had forgotten to close and sat up with a deep sigh. Why did it have to be day again? Tired he rubbed his eyes jawning and stretched himself once more.

He tugged his worn out sweater in position and made his way downstairs to the kitchen where he saw his housemate setting the table before taking a seat on one of the chairs.

Oliver sat towards him and poured water in his glass. Bored he took a sip and watched Yohio starting his breakfast. As his eyes wandered to the window he noticed the cloudy sky, indicating cold weather. Deep in thoughts Oliver took a bite from his slice of bread, the spread didn't make it taste much better, but he had to live with it. Only the thought of Luka's dishes from yesterday made him yearn for more. Maybe they meet each other fairly soon again.

Both adolescents kept silent for a long time. Oliver scratched with his fingernails on the table and Yohio chewed the rest of his bread deep in thoughts. Such mornings were rare but there wasn't anything else to do as well. The electricity had to be used with care.

Yohio watched Oliver who kept on being busy with his distraction. At first he didn't notice the eyes resting on him, but soon enough Oliver looked up and rose his eyebrow.

"Something wrong?" He asked with his moth full and Yohio gulped down his bite. For him the bread was too dry, but he didn't want to speak that out loud in front of Oliver who complained about it already several times.

"You have to collect the parcels today."

Oliver nooded in silent and kept on eating. "For everybody again or does one of these snobs finally move their own ass?" Oliver smiled cheeky but all he got was Yohio sighing irritated and shaking his head. Both of them didn't really share the same humor. With each passing day Yohio got even more sick of Oliver's behavior. He was rude towards the elders and acted superior, even though he wouldn't be able to survive a week on his own. That was a typical behavior for a teenager, but completely unfitting for the situation they were living in.

The older one looked at the table and folded his napkin irritated. "Stop being disrespectful to your elders already."

Oliver huffed scoffing and rolled his eyes exaggerated. "My god, that was only a joke."

"And you think everything is a joke, right? Some people here work their butts off only for you to have shelter and that's your way of showing gratitude?"

Yohio couldn't hold back his temper anymore and ended up yelling at the younger one. In situations like these he didn't know how to react and lost himself in anger, causing to set it free on Oliver. The blonde didn't sat there with a bored look aymore, but straightened up and looked at Yohio with wide opened eyes. When Yohio got loud, it was a clear sign Oliver took it too far.

Nevertheless the younger one didn't want to seem like the naive child once more. He crossed his arms irritated and leaned back, facing the floor.

"I don't have to show graditute to anybody," He murmured and Yohio furrowed his eyebrows.

"Oh, really? Would you have wanted to starve to death, so small and helpless you were to that time? You wouldn't have had the smallest chance-" Yohio got interrupted by Oliver as he hit his fist against the table. The dishes rattled and slightly startled the older one looked up at Oliver who leaned closer. Anger was written on his face as he tried to keep himself in control by biting his tounge.

"Shut up! I rather want to die than feeling like a slave by obeying every damn order of you all!" Oliver shouted and stood in silent for some seconds, staring into Yohio's eyes before he turned around and stormed off upstairs to his room. The older one heard the door slamming shut and sighed.

He looked down at his hands and felt miserable. He didn't like to fight with Oliver but sometimes he didn't know how to handle the behavior of the other one. He could't let Oliver be, but at the same time he didn't want to restrict the boy too much. He was still young and had to learn many things on his own. Yohio knew he mustn't take offense that Oliver felt restricted, but it was no reason to act like that. To the time he had been younger he had been fine with listening to the others. Of course, to this time he had lost his Family and had been under shock, but being a little more sensitive wasn't too much Yohio asked for.

Once again Yohio sighed heavily and looked up to the stairs. "All I want is Oliver being the boy I used to know."

In his room Oliver walked up and down. He was still upset because of the fight with Yohio. Why couldn't he be a little more the way he wanted to be? The blonde clomped to his bed and let himself fall on it. Silently he stared at the ceiling.

Yohio knew very well how much Oliver hated to get reminded of his past. Years ago he had lost his parents due to the virus they had gotten infected with. He can clearly memorize the days he had spent alone in the epidemic. The steady fear and the lack of food had set him in shock. After all, he had been only ten years of age and never before somebody told him in what kind of situation he was stuck in. It was simply coincidence that Luka had found him. She nearly hadn't noticed the small boy hiding in the edge of the woods. Due to the heavy rainfall he had been soaked in with water and looked up weakly to her with shock widened eyes. Oliver flinched at his memory as he had attempted to flee from the pink haired woman, but he had been too weakened to fight back.

He didn't come any further in his thoughts as he heard rattling downstairs. Probably some dishes fell to the ground; when Yohio was upset he was quite clumpsy. For a second Oliver thought about getting downstairs and excusing for his behavior, but he shook his head. It was nothing more than a simple conflict between those two.
