Jin's POV 🌸

Right after I did that, Akami's entire face was slammed right into that spot before he slumped and didn't move anymore.

Light suddenly enveloped itself around Akami and reverted him back to his normal form.

I ran over to Akami and got down on my knees before I flipped his body over to where he was facing the sky.

I can already tell that he's unconscious, because there's swirls in his eyes.

I picked him up and headed over to Korrina and Gurkinn before I sat down on the ground and began to tend to his injuries.

I happened to realize that I broke Akami's right arm and his left leg when he was fighting me, because his arm and his leg was crooked.

I inhaled in sharply at the sight of that.

"I'm surprised that you managed to beat him without a single drop of sweat..." Korrina said, looking at me really speechless.

"Part of it is because I can do martial arts..." I said. "I've been doing martial arts ever since I was little..."

"Well, on the plus side...At least you managed to defeat him..." Gurkinn said as he smiled a bit.

I nodded before I embraced Akami in a hug before laying him down on my lap.

After a while, Akami began to gain consciousness eventually.

"Nhh? Jin?" Akami murmured a little as he slowly began to open his eyes.

I gave Akami a relieved look before leaning forward and kissing him on the forehead.

"Thank Arceus, you're okay..." I said as I looked at him.

"What happened to me...?" Akami asked as he looked at me weakly.

I quickly thought up a lie so Akami wouldn't freak out about what happened.

"We were suddenly attacked by a wild Blaziken. And you protected me from it when the Blaziken used Flamethrower.

But, you passed out after getting hit. And then the Blaziken broke your right arm and your left leg after you fainted..." I lied.

Akami looked at me blankly before he shutted his eyes and sighed a little.

"Shoot..." Akami said.

Then everything was quiet for a few minutes as I continued tending to Akami's injuries.

"Jin?" I suddenly heard Akami say.

"Yeah?"

"I'm sorry..." Akami sighed as he looked away.

"For what?" I asked.

"For letting you down..." Akami replied.

"Don't be like that...I'm not like those jerks who treated you poorly!" I said.

"You promise?" Akami asked.

I nodded.

"I promise you that, Akami...I swear it on my life..." I replied.

Akami smiled before he closed his eyes.

"Thank you..." Akami managed to say before he fell asleep.

I smiled after I was completely finished tending to Akami's injuries before I gently helped him sit up.

My back suddenly throbbed, making me wince in pain, when I picked Akami up.

"Jin! Are you okay?!" Korrina asked me worriedly.

I shook my head before I turned around and showed her and Gurkinn my back.

Korrina covered her mouth in shock.

"When did you - - ?" Korrina began before I suddenly held my hand up.

"I got it when Akami tried to hurt your Lucario and only managed to gash his arm..." I said.

"Oh. I remember now..." Korrina said after she remembered what happened.

"I don't know what made things go wrong that caused Akami to go berserk...

I know very well that Akami wasn't overconfident in his own strength or wanting to get stronger because he's not like that..." I mentioned as I looked at Gurkinn.

"His aura was kept under control and he seemed fine when he was battling.

...But.

I don't know what triggered him to go berserk and wind up behaving like that..." I sighed.
