Jin's POV 🌸

"N-No...It's not that..." Akami replied.

Then he started trembling a little in fear before tears started to appear in his eyes and run down to the sides of his face.

I wiped the tears from his eyes and then held him closer as I began to rock back and forth a little bit while I started shushing him gently.

Then I heard Akami sniff a little before he spoke up.

"I'm just...scared...Jin." Akami said.

I smiled and nodded my head in understanding before looking at him and tilting his head up a little bit.

"Akami...It's okay. Everyone gets scared a lot. It's all part of our emotions...Especially pokémon like you." I began.

"As I said before...If there's something you need to tell me, let me know...Okay? I'm your friend, aren't I?"

Akami sniffed again and nodded after I wiped the tears out of his eyes again.

Then he gave me another hug again.

"Yes...Thank you, Jin..." Akami replied before he parted from me and stood up.

I smiled and rubbed the back of his head after I stood up too.

"Shall we begin the mega evolution?" I asked as I looked over at Akami.

Akami looked up at me and nodded his head.

"Yes. Let's do it, before I change my mind..." Akami replied.

I smiled.

Then me and Akami made a good distance away from us before looking at each other in the eyes.

Then we nodded.

I putted two fingers on my Mega Necklace and then activated it.

It felt weird the moment I activated it.

I can't describe it very well that's for sure.

As light emerged from my Key Stone and from Akami's Lucarionite, they suddenly connected together and grew stronger and stronger.

Once it grew stronger, the light suddenly enveloped itself around Akami and transformed him.

He suddenly grew a few inches taller, more spikes appeared on him, markings and two of his aura sensors had spreaded out and the fur on his chest grew to the point where his fur was completely covering his tail.

The tips of his paws and feet were red and his eyes were giving off a pretty light gold color.

After Akami was fully transformed, the light faded from him.

"The mega evolution was a success!" I heard Korrina say.

I letted out a squeal and went over to Akami before hugging him from behind.

"We did it, Akami!" I said happily.

Akami's gaze softened before he placed his paw on my arm as he smiled a little.

I gave Akami a kiss on the cheek before giving him a another piece of chocolate as a reward.

Akami happily took the chocolate and ate it before I helped him drink some water.

Chocolate makes Akami thirsty.

Just how it makes me thirsty too.

After Akami drank the water, I putted the water bottle up before we walked over to Korrina and Gurkinn.

I gave Korrina a hug and thanked her for the Mega Necklace she gave me.

"Oh, it's no problem..." Korrina replied before chuckling a little.

"Are you kidding me?! The necklaces that you and your grandfather gave me and Akami are amazing! If mega evolving Akami is a bonus to the surprise, then I really love it!" I said after parting from Korrina.

Gurkinn smiled.

"The mega evolution is part of the surprise. The mega necklace that you and Akami have is proof that you two have a powerful bond with each other..." Gurkinn explained.

"...That's why the mega evolution was a success...To activate mega evolution, you have to have a powerful bond with the pokémon that you are or feel very close to..."

Me and Akami were amazed.

"So, that's how you activate it! I've always wondered how do you activate mega evolution..." I said.
