13| Akami's Sick?!
Jin's POV 🌸
"Akami? Are you okay?" I asked as I looked at him, concerned.
Akami shook his head before he started coughing hard again.
I sat down next to him before I rested my forehead on his.
Akami blushed a bit after I did that.
His forehead felt really hot.
"Hm...I think you're coming down with a fever..." I said.
Akami nodded as he looked at me dazedly and half-asleep.
His eyes were really puffy.
I can easily figure out that he didn't sleep well.
I gave Akami some allergy medicine and a cup of water, after giving him the liquid medicine that Professor Sycamore wanted me to give Akami in the mornings only.
After giving Akami the medication, I told him to lie back down on the bed and get himself plenty of rest.
I also mentioned to him that I'll bring him a bowl of chicken soup after I'm done eating breakfast, which he was completely okay with that.
After I tucked Akami in, I gave him a kiss on the cheek before he drifted off to sleep.
Then I headed downstairs for breakfast.
-Downstairs-
Once I made it downstairs, I sat down at the table and started to eat my breakfast I was given.
"Hey, Jin?" Korrina began.
"Yeah?" I replied.
"Where's Akami? He usually comes down here for breakfast and sits next to you everyday..." Korrina asked.
"He's gotten sick. I gave him medication and told him that he should go back to bed." I answered.
Korrina gave me a surprised look.
"When did he get sick? It's not even flu season yet." Korrina asked.
"I'm guessing this time of year is flu season for him.
Because he was perfectly fine around winter, spring and summer last year..." I replied. "After all...Pokémon are different from us but sometimes have similar personalities like we do."
Korrina nodded.
"You're right about that." Korrina agreed.
After I ate breakfast, I made some chicken soup for Akami and took it upstairs to him, while being careful not to spill it on me.
I knocked on the door before entering so I don't scare the living daylights out of Akami.
Then I walked over before setting the bowl down on the table nearby the bed and nudged Akami awake gently.
Akami groaned a little before he sat up on the bed and rubbed his eyes a little.
"Hey. As I promised...I brought you some chicken soup." I said as I sat down on the bed, next to Akami.
"Thanks, Jin..." Akami replied before he started coughing hard.
"The poor guy...He's already having a hard time with his illness..." I thought to myself.
Akami scooted over before he sat on my lap, which I was okay with, before I started helping him eat the soup that I made for him.
I blew on to the soup to cool it down a bit before giving it to Akami.
After Akami had a taste of the soup I made, he suddenly looked up at me in surprise.
"Oh my Arceus...The soup tastes so good! Did you make this?" Akami asked me.
I nodded my head as I smiled.
"I did. The soup's recipe has been passed down to me from my mother before she died. She used to make it alot whenever me or Onii-chan got sick." I explained.
"I didn't know you had an older brother..." Akami commented.
I blushed a little in embarrassment.
"Sorry. I've been meaning to tell you that but I forgot to..." I mumbled a little, still feeling embarrassed.
Akami smiled before he rested his head on my chest.
"It's okay...I forgive you. Even if you're forgetful sometimes, I'll still forgive you. Everyone makes mistakes. Especially me..." Akami replied as he chuckled a little bit.
I smiled before resting my head on his.
"Yeah. You're right about that..." I replied.
