Hi my beautiful lovely cheese-filled pizza crusts! Before we get to the answers to your many questions, I would like to talk about the book a little bit. So the idea of this book started with the ending. I knew what I wanted, I knew what I wanted to happen, and from that I created the bunker.

All of this happened last year while I was working on my other series "A Little Insane". The Monster Beside Us is actually supposed to happen right after book 3 of ALI ends. In that book, my character witnesses nuclear explosions. He also lives in Bellumstone, and the beacon that Lucian finds is a few miles away from this character's location. But ALI was abandoned and I never got to write this, but I did explain it when I announced that I was going to be leaving the book unfinished. You can even go back to it, it's the last chapter of the third book "The Dark Prince" and you will see I talk about the nuclear bombs.

The reason there are so many plot holes and questions left unanswered is because this book was supposed to be a full-length book. It wasn't meant to be a short story of only 6 chapters, but I tried my hardest to make every chapter count and fill in as much information as I could to still create the shocking ending, and hopefully have it make sense. I think I did well.

I wrote the first 5 chapters in less than 2 weeks. I did NOTHING for those 2 weeks but write write write write. I spent day and night, with a billion tabs open and dictionaries and thesaurus and everything I needed to finish this book. I hit a major block on the last chapter, because it's the most significant one. It took me a month to finish writing it, but for you guys it was only about a week or two, it ruined my schedule. I wanted to post 2 chapters a week from the start of the month, but I was still able to finish before the month was over, so I'm still proud of myself for getting it done.

I was scared when I was uploading the first chapter because of the new American Horror Story season. I didn't want to get comments comparing the two when I had been working on this story for over a year, but I knew that once you guys read the entire thing there would not be such comments. The story is very different than this AHS season.

One thing I regret is not making the story scary enough. Most of the horror I had to get rid of because I couldn't fit it in the short-story format. The full length one would have actually been scary. There would have been over 20 chapters of madness all leading up to the same ending. You're probably wondering why I didn't make it full length. I wanted to write something new, especially for Halloween, and I knew I wouldn't be able to do it in time. And if it was full length, it would have been taken me WAY longer to write and post. You'd still not hear anything about it till next year. I haven't written new material in a very long time, so this was my only option.

So here is the most important part that you need to know. The story is not over, not quite. I've been working on 3 short stories, all in the same universe. The next story I will be releasing is called "The Blood Witch" and it's a prequel, sort of. This story takes place before the bombs. It will answer even more questions about the universe that I don't answer here.

Why all these short stories? Because for a few years I've been working on a huge series inspired by A Little Insane. These 3 short stories are in the new universe of A Little Insane, not the old one on Wattpad, but the new one I'm going to be publishing. So these stories will give you information that you won't get in the official books when they are out. Hopefully when you read all of them and the books come out, you'll want to get them. But this is mostly for my readers on Wattpad.

Now to the questions!

The nuclear bomb, the war, the helicopter: Yes, the United States bombed itself. Why? To destroy the monsters pouring out of hell. What does this mean? You will have to read the next book. In The Blood Witch, you will be a front row witness to the entire event and why. The helicopter was hit by Vincent in his smokey form. Lucian described the smoke as cold and not smelling like anything, because it wasn't smoke from the engines. When Vincent escaped hell, he was just roaming, when he hit them in the air. He killed the mom and the baby first, then the father died, but Vincent still took his flesh.

Was everything real? Everything was real.

About Vincent. The simplest way I can explain what he is is a demon. He is an entity from a place like hell. In this universe, there is no biblical hell, but there is a place like one. It's explained in the next book. He is a shapeshifter, yes. But his powers go beyond that. His nature is to kill, that is why he did it. He doesn't need a reason. He wants your flesh, he wants to become you. In this book, he got sick. It was the endurance he explained in the end. He can't stay in one flesh for too long otherwise it will start to rot and fall apart. He has to constantly be shifting, but after some time apart, he can heal that flesh again and go back like it was normal. He was the one that killed Lindsay in front of Lucian.

About Lucian. I noticed people were getting frustrated with how Lucian acted sometimes, because he wasn't acting like normal people. Now you know, the entire time he was under Vincent's influence. If Vincent hadn't manipulated his mind, Lucian would have killed himself very early on. He isn't mentally strong like he seemed to be, that was all because of Vincent. The hallucinations, Calista's body disappearing, all of it was Vincent.

The spider / The webs.The spider was just a distraction. There was no spider. And the webs Lucian found were the white thingies that Lucian saw in the end, only dried up. And what are they you may ask? It's a part of Vincent. It's like arms to him. They're usually attached to his back like tentacles. I didn't get to show you guys his true physical form, and it's terrifying.

Why did Vincent do that? Vincent literally lures people to their death. He has mind control abilities. The tentacles, and what happened to Hunter when he was frozen, and all the time he spent with Lucian, he was gathering information from their minds. This is how he knows so much. He steals your memories and stores them in his head, so when he becomes you, he literally becomes you. He's been doing this to Lucian for a long time now, but very slowly, and not to hurt him or kill him, because yes, he did love Lucian. Why? I don't freaking know LOL. Anybody and anything can love. He was taking Hunter's memories about him so that Lucian wouldn't find out, but realized it was no use, it was time for him to meet the real Vincent. So why did he pick his brother? There was no reason except what he said, nobody knew the flesh. It was his way into the bunker without anyone noticing him. Vincent entered before Lucian because he's not even human, he can travel really quickly as his smoke form. It's how he got inside. Once inside and in the booths, he attacked the attendant and mind controlled her so that she would put him and Lucian together. Vincent already knew a lot about Lucian because he killed his parents and took their memories. He knew Lucian was the way. He did lie to Lucian a lot, so don't trust anything he says. He just wanted to wait as long as he could before taking over the bunker.

But Vincent is Korean and Lucian is qwhite. I mentioned early on when they were getting to know each other that Lucian's parents have been all over the world, including South Korea. The mom cheated, yes. She wasn't as innocent and pure as everyone believed lol. Vincent didn't think Lucian would find out, but he made his hair change colors to be safe.

What was Vincent's plan all along? He wanted to kill everyone. It was the perfect place, almost like it was built just for him. But he wanted to do it the right way. He was patient. He stole memories from people. Any time he wasn't in his room, he was killing. If you noticed, things started happening when Lucian began to figure things out or whenever he was around Hunter. Vincent is very jelly. When Lucian found Aura, things started happening, because Vincent was angry, because he wanted to keep Lucian "pure and innocent" for as long as possible. And Lucian was just figuring things out and starting to break from Vincent's control. Thoughts and questions started to slip into his mind. So Vincent decided it was time to take everyone and leave Lucian alive, so that they both could be the only ones, forever and ever.

What's up with the very detailed sex scenes? Thank you to no one who asked that! Those scenes were another way Vincent manipulated Lucian. And the ending was supposed to be gross, finding out they were brothers all along, but no one batted an eye. LMFAO. The boyxboy community I tell u. And another thing that didn't get explained because of the length situation is that there was a reason they had sex, and Lucian was practically under Vincent's spell the entire time, but Vincent needed HIS SEED, because after the end, Vincent could literally birth new creations with the help of Lucian. He was supposed to say this too and how he could become Lucian's mother so that he could give birth a thousand times and release his "virus" on the world. More of the evil peeps will be explained in the next book.

What happens in the end? For those that didn't understand, Lucian killed himself. That was how the book was always supposed to end. Some are wondering what happened afterwards, how did Vincent react, ect. What you need to understand is that Vincent ISN'T human. He may have loved Lucian, but in the end everything is meaningless. When Lucian killed himself, Vincent was like ... "oh." and then went back to killing the rest of the people in the bunker. He doesn't have the same feelings and emotions we do. He hated it for sure, but he can't bring him back. He doesn't mourn, he just wished he did things differently so he could have saved him. He always wanted to save Lucian.
