Her Decision

Timber walks to the king, his hands behind his back and his face blank.

The king was talking to a guard, who stood perfectly still. "They declared war. I need you to prepare the troops and send defensive squads into the town. Make sure to enforce the curfew."

"Ah... war... I apologize for the inconvenience, sir," Timber says, standing beside the king.

The king turns to him, his eyes impatient. "What is it now? I'm not exactly available at the moment." He spits.

"I only want to help with the war..."

"I need no help from you." The guard doesn't move. "I've had enough of your 'advise'."

He sighs and holds out Alek's sword, "Fine. Then give this to Alek, and put me in the dungeon please. Not a grimy one, I prefer one furnished and tidy."

The king snatches the sword from his hands. "I don't have time to deal with you. Leave my castle at once."

He rolls his eyes "No."

"Excuse me?" The king glares, squaring up to Timber.

Monarch runs with Alek to where the king is. She spots them and freezes.

Alek freezes as well, pulling Bridgette back slightly.

Timber grins. "Sire... you are entering a war... I wouldn't focus all your energy on me. I'll leave your castle, but I'm taking Monarch with me."

Alek opens his mouth to speak, but Darwin interrupts. "No you will not. I don't see why you want this girl. I don't know why Alek does. I don't care. She has the ability to choose for herself. I will not allow you to take anyone unless they choose." The king slams a fist on the desk. "And frankly, I'm tired of having to deal with your odd requests."

Alek closes his mouth, standing back, keeping a hand on Bridgette.

L: (Heheh PREACHS)

Monarch tenses as Timber looks at her, his face like stone. "Well... monarch... who do you choose?" This is the first time he asks a question without cringing.

She stares and his lips twitch, his hand sliding into his pocket slowly.

"Monarch, answer to what you want..." Alek tenses, feeling uneasy.

A: (YE DARWIN BUT F U TIMBER)

She looks away and trembles. Her mind spins and her eyes widen with realization. "Neither! I choose neither!"
Timbers eyes widen.

Alek looks to her, a small smile on his face. "Neither?"

She looks at him, smiling slightly "Yes. I choose neither of you. I won't marry you, or Timber." Timber trembles with rage and growls.

Alek smiles, turning to Timber. "Oh well, looks like she won't be going with you." The king sighs and sits down, starting to read a paper. "Should I show you to the door?"

L: (I had to ask a question)

Timber growls and clenches his fist. He grabs out his knife and runs at Alek, letting out a sharp yell. Monarch gasps and her heart stops with fear.

Alek pulls himself and Bridgette out the doorway, ducking to the wall. The king stands. "Alek!"

Timber stabs the wall, ridged and furious.
Monarch trembles with worry and runs from the hiding spot, facing Timber "That wasn't the deal! Stop it and accept your fate!" Timber stares at her before growling and turning his head to the side, backing down.

Alek hears the blade hit the wall, swiftly moving around the corner and tackling Timber.

"Gah!" Timber wrestles with Alek and has him pinned to the ground from behind. He twists Alek's arm, waiting to hear a crack. "TIMBER GET OFF HIM!" Monarch's eyes are wide.

Alek clenches his jaw, adjusting his foot and pushing off, causing Timber to hit the wall.

He yells and glares at Alek, rage fueling him. He rushes forward and kicks Alek to the ground again.

"ENOUGH BOTH OF YOU STOP IT!" She stands between them, staring daggers at Timber. Her eyes are slits, and if her ears were showing, they would be pinned back. "Leave this castle, NOW!"

Timber snarls but turns and leaves.

Alek stands, brushing himself off. "Great help you were." Alek says to the guard. "

Alek that's just armor.." the king stays standing and Alek sighs.

"Of course..." he turns to Bridgette. He looks at her unsure of what to say.

She looks down and sighs "Well. I've made my decision." She begins walking out but bumps into Alek, whispering to him, "Meet me tonight in town..." She leaves the castle.

Alek watches her leave, not trusting her to leave, but smiled lightly.

"I suppose the armor does look like a person..." Darwin says, taking the helmet off. Alek looked at his father. He sighs again, holding his palm to his face.

A/N: Lol XD I remember how you didn't read my text all the way so you made Alek jump out and tackle Timber after Timber backed down xDDD

L/N: Yeah, I didn't think Timber would back down and rushed an attack! XD It was instinct!
