4.1 - Dreamless Sleeping

There is the assumption that with the onset of death, every sensory perception dies as well - I imagine the moment of death as if one falls asleep without dreams. Nothing really new for us... Neither greatly eventful, nor particularly agonizing. "Peacefulness in perfection" in a way, I cannot express it precisely, but seemingly timeless, I would say. Such a "place" - the realm of the dead, if you will - cannot possibly exist physically, simply because no one could measure it scientifically.

Nevertheless, many people fear death, blaming it for even more fear, something that cannot exist purely in terms of reason. I admit that unfortunately there are many cruel ways to die; therefore it should be the duty of all states to guarantee everyone a dignified death. We should not fear death. We should see it as a part of us. We already know death because we were all - without exception - like dead before birth - nonexistent - and we also do not remember birth, ending up somehow imperceptibly in the world and suddenly being "there". We wonder about the world as little children, grow up, then grow old, well, you know how it goes...

:)

I too will eventually pass away. This body will decay, return to nature, and someday somewhere on this planet a child will be born, who will - hopefully - address the same question of mankind. Like a new page, completely unwritten ...?

...start all over again?!°

No! What I put into words here shall outlast the decay of this body ~ at least I hope so! Perhaps this child will find texts like these one day? Perhaps it will come to the same realization that it is the universe itself experiencing itself again and again anew? - And if you are reading this, imagine not having to go through an almost endless procedure of self-discovery and self-awareness, no, instead you gain access to one of the many answers to one of the many questions of humanity. And all in written form, accessible, everywhere and at any time.

Questions of Mankind

This work focuses on simple knowledge. It is the birthright of every human being to renew their true nature in relation to "All-that-is." We are not insignificant, nor are we separate from the universe. We are far from ...meaningless. As you now know, each person possesses an inviolable dignity of wondrous origin, in my opinion.

I would say that some "premises" (assumptions) could help to "pin-point" the meaning in the search for the meaning of life. What I know so far is that the meaning of life is not something to be found. Because, it would be kind of silly if you found it and then suddenly, with one stroke, all the rest would become meaningless, even though "the true meaninglessness" cannot exist (whoever provides me with the counter-proof shall own the entire universe).

○ First of all, there must definitely be a meaning, because absolutely nothing that exists is meaningless, and the idea that there should be no meaning of life in a world full of life seems somehow meaningless in a strange, ironic way.

○ The meaning of life cannot be found somewhere out there in a place, any random, lifeless place, but it must be within life itself. Within oneself. Within you.

○ The "meaning of life" seems to be where one would most and least expect to find it.

○ And I suspect that what gives life meaning is the (only?) thing of which one can be absolutely sure that it is not an illusion, whether real or not, that philosophers think about. The meaning of life must therefore have philosophical truth value. Thus, the meaning of life must be truth and cannot be illusion.

○ Moreover, this meaning can never be found as long as one is searching for it. That means, the search itself is not the meaning.

○ This universally valid answer must be something that is formless. Colorless. Motionless. Probably also imperishable. And it must be within oneself, as already mentioned.

Basically, I imagine that every person comes into the world with the same innate "ignorance" regarding the question of who or what they actually are. Amazing. Throughout their lives, they pretend to be someone and yet every person eventually faces the same mysteries:

"Who am I?",

"Where do I come from - where am I going?",

"What is the meaning of life?"
