"Cashier or barista?"

I shrugged. "I think I'll be the barista today."

Chanyeol grinned, nodding at me. "Great. Then I'll be at the cashier."

Kim Jongdae is suddenly back with two pairs of long sleeve shirt and black aprons. He gave one to me and the other to Chanyeol. "God. I'm so glad you're both here." he sighed, wiping sweat from his forehead. "Weekdays really are the hardest part of the month."

"Don't worry. We're here to help." Chanyeol said as he shrugged off his shirt, leaving his white undershirt. I immediately averted my gaze and tried focusing on Chen instead.

Chen sighed as he ran his hand through his hair. "Thanks, Yeol." he smiled. "So who's taking the cashier?"

"Chanyeol." I started to unbutton my own clothes. "He's better at it."

"Great!" Chen laughed, shaking his head in amusement. Then he cocked his head to one side teasingly. "So are you giving off your number now?"

I stopped unbuttoning my shirt as I looked up at Chanyeol. He's tying his apron around his waist now. "Don't be stupid," he said in a flat voice without looking up. He seems busy dressing himself. What does Chen mean?

"So, NO?" Chen raised an eyebrow and I continued preparing myself. The shirt smells of soap and the logo of Chen's cafe is embroidered in black on its breast pocket. I wrapped the apron around my waist and tried fixing stubborn hair strands atop my head.

Chanyeol finally sighed. "Shut up. Baekhyun's here."

I looked up with the sudden mention of my name. "What?"

"So? What if Baekhyun's here?" Jongdae asked in confusion. "He has nothing to do with---"

"We're together, Chen." Chanyeol said and he sounds annoyed. "Now, can't we just go down to business already?" he's glaring at Chen now and I suddenly realize he's not really that nice to just about anyone.

Jongdae stared at us for a while, absorbing what Chanyeol just told him. When his wide eyes landed on me, I gave him a small smile. "So... can we?" I said, gesturing to the exit.

Chen cleared his throat and nodded fast. "Sure..." he stammered. "Let's go."

Jungkook came a few minutes after we opened the shop. He has band aids all over his face but he seems fine to me. He joined me at the counter after changing to our uniform.

"You sure you're putting your guy there?" he gestured a thumb behind him as I poured hot coffee into a cup. Jungkook started blending caramel and milk but he's watching me with a frown.

I put the cup into the counter where Chen is waiting to serve it. "Well, yes." I answered Jungkook, wiping my hand on the apron I'm wearing. "What's wrong with that?" I asked as I cast Chanyeol a side way glance. He's currently taking the orders of an old couple and he's giving them a really warm smile. My god. He's really charming.

"Well..." Jungkook started as he pushed a button on the blender sending it to life.

I walked over to him and started mixing another order. "Well...?"

"Wait and see."

Soon enough, I realized what Chen meant a while ago and what Jungkook tried to tell me. The cafe Chen and his family owns is located near a park and it's a few blocks from our university. There are huge malls around us, a church and some clubs. And when I'm making the 25th cup of the day, I heard giggles from the cashier behind me.

Jungkook coughed. "It's starting." he mumbled under his breath.

Chanyeol is now looking down at a pair of girls, both wearing the brightest red lipstick I know. They are wearing the shortest dress and the shortest pair of shorts with their messy bunned hair and killer heels. And they're both blushing while looking up at my guy.

I heaved a sigh. To be perfectly honest, I am not really the jealous type of boyfriend. I don't make big things out of small deals. I turned my back and finished the Grand Black Forest frappe I am making.

"Good morning ladies." Chanyeol greeted them using that lively voice. "May I take your order?"

"Chanyeol, right?" one of the girls grinned.

There was a pause. "Uh, yes. How'd you know?" I gritted my teeth. IT'S ON YOUR F*CKING NAME PIN STUPID!

The two giggled. "We just know." I tried glancing back at them and Chanyeol is still smiling with that kind of smile and I repeated to myself that I am NOT the jealous type of boyfriend and I will NOT get mad just because two young girls are hitting on MY guy.

"So... what's your order?" Chanyeol asked again.

"You." the b*tch answered and I felt my fingers curl around the empty coffee cup I am holding. WHAT THE F*CKING HELL IS THAT KIND OF ORDER?! ARE YOU F*CKING KIDDING ME?! DO YOU WANT TO F*CKING DIE RIGHT NOW?!

Chanyeol let out a laugh. "Sorry but I'm not for sale." he grinned and I want to stuff my fist into his mouth because WHY DOES HE HAVE TO LAUGH?! IT'S NOT EVEN FUNNY!

The girl giggled. "We're just kidding." she said. "You're so cute!" and before Chanyeol could say anything else, she told him their order  and after that, proceeded on a couch just at the corner of the shop. I am still gritting my teeth in annoyance as I made THEIR cup of frappe.

Jungkook is grinning beside me and I threw him a death glare.

When I thought the worst is over, I just realized it's not.

Chanyeol has been helping Chen in this cafe ever since they started high school and he seems really popular. Many customers know him and some even greets him by his first name the very moment they enter the shop. And of course, many girls blush whenever they talk to him.

And who are they to be blamed, anyway? He's Park Chanyeol.

Just before the clock struck twelve, the customers are thinning in number already and Chanyeol and I decided to have a fast noon break, retreating to wide cushion beside the glass wall of the shop where a couple just sat a while ago. Chen brought us two slices of cake and frappes.

"My back hurts from stooping so low," Chanyeol groaned as he slouched on the cushion. I swung my legs over his thigh and he rested his hand on one of my knees.

"That's because you're abnormally tall." I grinned as I watched him squeeze his eyes shut in tiredness.

Chanyeol clutched unto my knee. "How about you? Are you doing good?" he opened one of his eyes so he could look down at me with just softest expression on his face. He smiled, watching me frown at him.

"I'm fine, I think." I mumbled. "But I didn't know you're quite famous here."

One of his arms wrapped around my waist, pulling me closer to him. "I've been helping here for quite a few years already," he explained though I already know that. I felt his chin on the top of my head and I can't help but close my eyes in comfort.

"The girls like you. A lot." I murmured.

He chuckled and I felt the vibrations against his chest. "You got a really, really hot guy here so it's really no surprise." He mimicked my line and I can't help but let out a laugh myself. "And don't tell me I'm proud. We both know it's the truth."

I pulled back, laughing. "Wow. You flattering yourself is becoming a hobby."

Chanyeol slowly shook his head. "Nope. It's me telling the truth."

I leaned into him until our faces are a few inches apart. "Shut up." I whispered, fighting off a laugh. "Park Chanyeol, you're starting to annoy me, don't you know that?"

Chanyeol smiled and when I thought he's about to give me a rebut, he didn't.

He stared at my face for a while, his smile disappearing. Then he reached for my cheek and slowly run his fingers along my skin. His hand stopped just under my chin. "You're really pretty," Chanyeol mumbled, making my eyes wide with the sudden compliment. He then tipped my head up and he smirked before kissing me fast on the lips. It was as short as a heartbeat but it's enough to send my heart fluttering faster than I could ever imagine.

When Chanyeol pulled back, he's smiling really wide and I have to look around us to make sure the customers didn't see that. Gladly, no one is paying us any attention. Chanyeol reached for the cake but when I started to swing my legs off his thigh, he held them in place, refusing to let go.

"I like you this close," he said giving me a small smile.

I smiled back at him. "Me, too." I admitted.

"And I am taking the cashier now." I said as we went back behind the counter.

Chanyeol stared down at me with a frown. "You sure?" he asked, reaching out to brush the bangs away from my forehead. His hands are rough but whenever he touches me, he would always try to be as gentle as possible.

"Well yes." I nodded. "Just teach me what to tap and what to not tap."

"Okay. Sure." He said with a nod and I held unto his arm as we walked to the cashier. It's just an hour past noon and we just finished our break. It's Chen and Jungkook's turn to rest and eat now.

Chanyeol went over the things I have to know with the device as fast as he could. I nodded after every instruction and responded an ah-huh and hm-hm whenever he asks if I'm getting it. It's really not hard to use though there are many acronyms they are using for the drinks' names.

"And... that's just about everything, Baek." Chanyeol nodded, smiling down at me.

I let out a sigh. "Good. I think I can do it."

Chanyeol poked my nose. "I know you can."

"Hey!" I brushed his hand off my face. "Don't do that. I'm not a kid."

"Do what?" he asked with that faked innocent face. "This?" and he f*cking did poke my nose again.

"Chanyeol!" I groaned, slapping his arm.

"Excuse me?"

We didn't even notice the customer coming and I gasped and tried to compose myself as I faced the tall man just standing in front of the cashier. I subconsciously constructed the best apology I could muster but it came tumbling down the moment I recognized our new customer.

Oh Sehun is smirking down at me. "Byun Baekhyun. Good to see you again."
