Amanda sees Adrien exit the school, she smiles.  She waves at him and watches him approach her!  Wow, this is a side to him she has never seen before since the day she first saw him!  Come to think of it, it makes her feel silly for the idea she has in her head anyway!  Yet she waits for him to get closer, then speaks up, "Adrien, want to be my boyfriend?"  Amanda blurts out.

     "Amanda, what?  You know I do not think of you in that way.  I will not sign any autographs, give out my email address, or phone number to you!  So, what makes you think I would agree to such an absurd thing as this?"  Adrien retorts.

      "Well, it could make a certain someone jealous! " Amanda replies.

     "I will not do it," Adrien says.

     "Fine, but if you ever change your mind you know where to find me,"  Amanda remarks, then walks away.

      After Amanda leaves, Marinette walks to him.  "Blondie, what did that girl want?"  Marinette ask.

     "None of your business! " Adrien yells at her.  

       Marinette is taken aback by his sudden outburst. She does not let it stop her. She pulls him closer.  

     Adrien thinks great she is gonna kill me now.  Then she will bury the body, so no one will know it was her that did it!  Ah, someone help me!

       Marinette sees him struggle to break away. She does not him though. She kisses him. Not on the cheek this time, but on the lips. She feels herself sigh and breaks away. She looks away. She runs off!  She thinks, great why did I let anyone dare me to do such a thing?  Why did I do it?  I do not like him, right?

       Adrien watches her go!  He sighs, stands there with an expression of shock.  He thinks wait did that just happen?  Did she just kiss me?   If so, then why did Marinette run and why did I not return her kiss?  I love her!  I should have given her a smooch!  He shakes his head and goes home.  He is so unsure what to make of it now.

       Now to Marinette...

           Marinette goes home, uses mouthwash and brushes her teeth, does her homework, but still can not get the kiss-off her mind. She tries to think of anything, but that stupid, kiss!  It was just a dare!  It meant nothing, so why then does she desire to pull him close, stare into his eyes, and plant a kiss across those smooth, hot and needy lips again?  She blushes.  She blushes hard.  

      Back to Adrien...

        Adrien sighs. He thinks man the kiss was nice! No, it was amazing!  Only it was real.  He frowns when he realizes that she must have done it out of guilt or for some other unknown reason.  He is sure of it!  He knows that has to be it as she can not stand him.  He just another model in her eyes.  

    He begins to think, should I take that fangirl, Amanda, up on her offer?  Should I be her boyfriend?  I mean it does not have to be anything real between us.  I would have to be her fake boyfriend and her fake girlfriend.  Then, we could eventually pretend to have a fight and break up.  This way it looks more realistic to everyone else!  This way maybe, just maybe I will win Marinette's heart yet! 

    Adrien makes his decision.  He can only hope now it is the right one.  He will tell Amanda his official answer as soon as he can tomorrow.  In the meantime, there is homework to do!  He works on it.  He finishes early.  He can not help, but feel the nagging possibility that something might go wrong!  Then, again there is also a possibility everything will go right!  He supposes it depends on how one looks at it!  

     The next day, he sees Amanda on the school steps.  Good, this way I do not have to wait for after lunch, or later today to speak with her.  It is important to get it over with soon, right?  Yeah, there is no time like the present, he reasons within himself.

     "Hey, Amanda!" Adrien says.

    "Oh, hi Adrien!"  Amanda says.

    "You know about the other day, well I thought about more and well I think we ought to try it!  I mean what harm could come from it anyway?  Besides, it does not have to be real, we can fake it right?"  Adrien tells her.

    "Yeah, sure Adrien!  That is fine with me!  Oh, and by the way from now on you walk me home, you hold my hand, and when someone else walks by you give me a small peck on the cheek!  This is just to make it more realistic as you know."  Amanda remarks. She hopes the plan works and Adrien ends up with Marinette. She hates to see him sad for much longer.

     "Okay, sounds good!  Oh, and meet me outside class, later!" Adrien says.

     "Sure, see ya, Adrien!"  Amanda says.

      "Ya, see ya!" Adrien says. He goes to class.

          Nino gives him a funny look.  "Dude, what was that about with that girl?  The one in the hall, she spoke to you and you agree just like this to meet up with her later?  Why?"  Nino asks.

         "Well, Nino she is my girlfriend now!"  Adrien brags. He knows it is a lie, but still how else will he explain to him why he agrees to see her after school.

        "Wow, cool man!  That is great!"  Nino says, but secretly wonders what happens to the crush Adrien has on Marinette.  He can not believe his best friend would just up and forget the girl he claims to love just like that or would he?  He shakes his head in confusion.

         Alya takes notice that Adrien dates another girl and sticks her tongue out at him.  Chloe does the same, neither of them can understand how he could betray his feelings for Marinette like this.  

         Later after school, he meets up with Amanda as they agreed upon!  

        Marinette sees Adrien and the Burnette together.  She can not believe it!   How could he?  How could Adrien be with someone and not tell her?  Is this way he did not return the kiss yesterday?  Was it his polite way to say he has found someone new?

         "Bl-Blondie wh-why are you with her?  Why does her hand hold yours and she kissed you just now too?"  Marinette stutters just a little.

        "Well, Bluebell Gal, you see Mandie and I are together now!  She and I are what you call girlfriend and boyfriend."  Adrien says.  He tries to sound as if he means it.  He wishes it were Marinette he was with though.

        "Oh, I see!  Well, then c-congrats t-too you both!  I am sure you will be a great c-couple!  You will be h-happy and e-excuse me, I gotta go!"  Marinette says.  She runs off. She feels her eyes become wet!  What are these tears in her eyes?  why?  It can not be over him, can it?  She can not cry over Adrien.  She can not.

       Marinette tries as she might to stop. This is the first time in awhile she has found herself in tears over a boy who is not Larry.  What?  She looks in the mirror, and screams,  "Alya, and Nino told me you were different!  They told me you were not like other boys, other models even!  I  begin to believe them!  Like a fool, I thought you did like me.  Only, it seems I was a pawn for her, for this Amanda instead."   She sits on her bed and cries herself to sleep once more.  This time because of Adrien.  She still is too stubborn to admit she likes him.  She is afraid too. 

      Back to the others...

        "Adrien how could you?"  Alya scowls at him!  She slaps him and stomps off.

       Chloe glares at him, slaps him as well, and says,  " That half brother is for what you did to poor, sweet Marinette! you hopeless boy!"  She walks off not too happy with him at the moment.  

      *Author's note: Adrien is Chloe's half  brother in this particular fan fiction story.*

       Stacy frowns and ignores him.  Lila scowls and blurts out,  "Good grief, you stoop rather low Agreste to break the heart of your crush!"  She walks away.

       The rest of the girls from his class all seem to find fault with his fake girlfriend.  One by one they either slap him or rebuke him for the fact he sees Amanda and not Marinette!  

      Adrien groans as he grabs Amanda's hand, and runs with her!  He does not stop until they are out of sight of everyone else. Then, he lets go of her hand.
