One week later, Adrien sees Marinette arrive at school!  He does not say a word to her.  He decides what is the point?  She did make it clear that she hates me anyway.  He ignores her the entire day.  This is hard for him since he still likes her, no still loves her!  However, true to his word he does not say another word to her.

         Marinette thinks, hmm, that is odd!  She wonders, what is with him?   She recalls how she wore a new outfit to school that day and the fact Tikki teases her about it.  She can not see what the big deal is anyway.  She did not wear to impress anyone she thinks to herself!  She scoffs at the idea that she likes anyone. As if, pff!  There is no way that she likes him!  Why the very idea, is ludicrous.

       Marinette shakes her head at the crazy notion!  She is glad she does well on her Science exam.  Good thing she studies so much!  Otherwise, she might have not been able to pass it!  Let alone finish it on time.  She finishes it early with no answers left undone.  She thinks, perhaps she was to hard on Adrien!  Then, again, Nah!   He deserves it for being so hard to deal with anyway!  Goodness, knows she does not need someone like this in her life anyways!  She is better off on her own!  She does not need a boy to complicate things for her!  

        Later after school, Marinette sees Adrien as she talks and laughs with Lila.  Then she sees him talk with some other girl.  She thinks, so he wants to play that game does he?  Well, two can play at this game!  That is right, Blondie!  See if I care!  I will show you!  So, there, ha!  She thinks.

       Marinette turns around sees Luka and smiles at him!  She smirks even more.  "Hey, Luka!  So, what you doing?"  Marinette ask.

       "Marinette, that is none of your business!  Besides, you know I am a busy man!  I am always busy.  Furthermore, you are not my type!  You are too lame for me.  I am more into sports girls!  Plus, I have  a girlfriend!  She is hot!  She is right over there!"  Luka says as he points to Kagami.  He goes over to Kagami, wraps an arm around her and kisses her!  Kagami blushes as she returns the kiss.

       Marinette thinks, so cute!  Those two suit each other.  She thinks, well so much for the plan to make him jealous, wait what?   Make him jealous!  She laughs at herself!

       Adrien hears a laugh.  He can tell it belongs to Marinette.  He thinks, man her laugh is even cute! He blushes harder now.

          "Say, Adrien!  You know my offer still stands.  You can hang out with me anytime!"  Lila says.

            "As if, he is busy with me! "  Amanda says.

             "No, he is mine!"  Missy says.

              "No, mine!"  Brie says.

              "Girls, I am not anyone's.  Good day to you all!" Adrien says.  With that he leaves.  He does say anything else to the fan girls who swoon over him.

              Chloe comes to him and tries to kiss him.  "Chloe, back off!  Besides, what your boyfriend say?"  Adrien says.

             "Adrikins, I am sure he would not mind!  Besides, Nathaniel is not here!  He is on vacation for two weeks!  How can I be alone for that long of a time?"  Chloe whines.

             "Sorry, Chloe!  I will  betray Nathaniel like this and I suggest you be the kind of girl he thinks you are so good day!  No leave!"  Adrien says.  He walks off!  He gets into the limo where Gorilla waits for him and heads home for the day.

             Meanwhile, Marinette waits for her ride.  She thinks, the whole time, Wow, Adrien did not let Chloe get to him!  He did not agree to let her cheat on her man with him.  He is amazing!  She smiles.  She does not notice the small blush appear across her face.  She continues to deny anything, but hatred for this guy.

              Little does she know how wrong she is though!  Little does she know how much things might change someday for them both!   She heads home soon after her mother picks her up from school!  She is happy to arrive home safely!  She thinks, too bad my care is still in the shop.  Otherwise, I could have driven myself to and from school!  She is glad her mom  does not tease her as she drops her off at the apartment.  She smiles,  "Thanks mom!  Hopefully, my car is ready soon!  I owe you one!"   Marinette unlocks her place with the key, heads inside, closes and locks the door and sighs.

          "Marinette, what is the matter?  You seem different somehow!"  Tikki remarks.

          "Different, in what way Tikki?"  Marinette ask.

          "I do not know.  I sure would like to find out though."  Tikki says.

            "If you say so, Tikki!  You know something, I try to wave hi to Adrien!  I mean just so as to try to be more polite to him.  The odd thing is he did not pay attention!  It is like he was trying to avoid me all day!  Can you believe it Tikki?   Why would he do this?  I mean I even wore my hair down, put on some makeup, and wore my new outfit!  I did this to show him that I not just some immature chick you know.  Yet, he flirts with Lila, and so other girls!  Then, he tells off Chloe!  I admit I was taken aback about this.  What does it all mean?"  Marinette remarks.

          "It means he is different than other models.  He might flirt with the others, but that was just to make you jealous.  However, he did not kiss Chloe or pay her any mind.  Also, he ignores you suddenly and it bothers you?  Since when did you like Adrien?   I mean it sounds to me like someone crushes on Blondie, as you call him!"  Tikki teases her.

         "Ha, as if Tikki!  I do not crush on anyone.  This is not possible!  I mean Blondie is so, so..."  Marinette says.

          "He is so what?  What, is he  Marinette?"   Tikki says.

          "N-Nothing, Tikki!"  Marinette stutters.

           "You stutter now?   Ha, I knew it this proves it, you like him!"  Tikki squeals.  She thinks, Adrienette is real!

            Meanwhile with Plagg and Adrien in his room at the place where he lives!  He is glad his father and Natalie no longer live with him.  This way he can have more privacy!  Goodness, when he got the news last week that his father and Natalie were eloping he thought it was joke!  Then, he got a text with proof !  It was a photo a the courthouse with Gorilla as a witness, along with Alya, Nino and Kim and Alix, plus the judge was Ivan.  Who would have thought, his father and Natalie would do such a thing?   He admits it was a shock !  Now, he is just happy for them!  At least his dad is alone anymore!  It is nice to see him happy after all these years of sadness over his mother's  death.

           "Adrien, Adrien!"  Plagg says.

          "What is it Plagg?"  Adrien ask.

         "I  can not help, but notice you gave your crush the silent treatment today!  Why was this?"  Plagg ask.

         "She does not notice me.  So, why does it matter?"  Adrien retorts.

         "Goodness, Adrien!  No need to be a grump! "  Plagg yells back.

        "I am not a grump! " Adrien grouchily remarks back.

         "Oh, yeah!  Just keep telling yourself that lie!  Just like you deny you love her and you do not notice she acts differently around you than she did at first!   Also, she wore a nice new outfit today!  Why all the other guys expect for Luka who has Kagami, and Nathaniel who has Chloe but is out of town, took notice of her! "  Plagg says.

           "You think I did  not notice that Plagg?  What am I to do about it?  She hates me she makes this very clear.  Maybe, I should move on to someone new."  Adrien says.   

           "Whatever!  I do not think that is wise!  It is your life, so if you want to ruin it than so be it!"  Plagg says.
