One week after his confession, Marinette finds herself sadder than ever. She still is not sure how to tell Adrien she loves him! She feels like it should be the easiest thing in the world when he loves her. Only she still struggles to say so to him.

"Hey, Marinette!" Luka says.

"Oh, hi!" Marinette says.

"why so glume?" Luka says.

"It just a boy told me he loves me and I do not know how to respond." Marinette says.

"Ha, that is the silliest thing I ever heard you say!" Luka says.

"Excuse me, but who are you anyway?" Adrien says clearly jealous of this other boy who speaks to his Marinette.

"I am Luka! Luka Cuffaine, Juleka's brother,and Marinette's friend since grade school. you are?" Luka ask.

"Oh, this is A-Adrien!" Marinette says.

"Nice to meet you, Adrien!" Luka says.

"Yeah, it is nice to meet you too!" Adrien says. He glares at Luka in annoyance.

"Luka, you go ahead! I will see ya later!" Marinette says.

"Oh, okay!" Luka remarks and walks off. He smirks.

"Marinette, does this mean what I think it does?" Adrien blurts out.

"What do you mean?" Marinette ask

"I mean do you love Luka? Is this why you can not love me? Is it because you have..." Adrien begins.

"Shh, A-Adrien! I do not love him! " Marinette says.

"What? Really?" Adrien ask.

"Well,at least not in that way. He is a friend. He will never be anything more, why he is more like a big brother to me since Juleka's a friend of mine and he is her older brother. Why are you so upset?" Marinette says.

"I love you!" Adrien says again.

Marinette blushes hard! "B-Blondie, you need not worry about him. I will never love him. Never!" Marinette says.

"I see. Mari, I -I..." Adrien says sadly..

"I know," Marinette says. She sighs and he leaves.

Marinette watches him walk away and thinks, ugh! Why did Luka have to show up now? I did not even get to give Adrien a proper answer, and now he is all upset that Luka is in town. What can I do about it though? I did already promise to hang out with him after all.

Marinette leaves. She meets up with Luka as she told him she would. She has a great time until Luka blurts out, "Marinette, there is no other woman quite like you! You are kind, special, and pretty! What I am trying to say is I love you! So, what do you say will you go out with me?"

"What? I am sorry, but I can not." Marinette says.

"Why not is it that Agreste boy?" Luka snarls angrily.

"Yes, but how did you know?" Marinette says.

"I just notice these sorts of things." Luka remarks. He is not too happy to have Marinette turn him down, but also knows he can not make her like him instead. He is also sure since he has no chance with her that he might as well let her go.

"I have to go!" Marinette says and rushes off. She does not look back or say another word. She just leaves in the hopes to find Adrien! She figures it is now or never. She can only hope she will not find him in the comfort of another's arms. She runs and runs.

She runs until she feels like she can run no more. She collapses on a park bench and sobs. She sobs really hard and does not care who hears her or sees her. She just weeps! Weeps for the love she longs to have and can not seem to confess too! She feels like she is just a mess.

Meanwhile, Luka is not too happy that Marinette does not love him. However, he thinks, perhaps since she does not there is another girl out there who will love me! In time I shall meet her and we will be happy together! Until then, I wish Marinette the best, really I do!
