One week later, and Marinette still refuses to talk to anyone. She will not speak to Adrien, Alya or anyone else. She hardly ever looks anyone in the eye either unless it is the teacher and even then she only does this when they take the roll call.  She sits there in silence. She can not believe it.  She feels like her world will fall apart.

          Adrien does not seem to notice.  He does not seem to care. He just ignores everyone and everything.  He answers the teacher for the roll call, but that is about it.  He glances at Marinette when he thinks she does not see him, but looks away when she returns the gesture.

             After school, Alya walks up to Adrien and slaps him!  She slaps him hard enough to leave a pink mark.  

    Chloe sees this and comes over to him next.  She spits at him!  

     " Now, mind telling me what has gotten Alya all upset with you?  It is about Marinette is it not?"  Chloe says.

    "I can not say."  Adrien says.

    "Oh, really that is funny because from I recall a certain someone I might add made Marinette cry a week ago!  That is right she went home in tears because he hurt her!  He told her she was the ruin of his dating relationship with Lila!  Does any of this ring a bell to you?"  Chloe blurts out angry as ever that he would hurt her friend.

     "Hmm, that is nothing.  Wait, what?  She did cry?  Why?  I mean I meant that..."Adrien says.

      "You meant what exactly?"  Rose rebukes him.

    "Yeah, Adrien what did you do?"  Alix states.

    "I  gotta fix this, bye!" Adrien starts to run off from the crowd of angry people. He tries to dodge the next blow from Chloe,but misses.  He ends up with a black eye.  
   

   "Whoa, Dude!  You got on everyone's bad side today!"  Nino remarks.

    "Not exactly helping here, Nino!"  Adrien remarks. He rushes past Nino to go find Marinette. 

          Marinette has a sad, fore lorn look on her face. She seems unlike herself lately.  She does not notice Adrien look for her.  She just walks home. She does not say a word to anyone.  What would she say anyway?  That she finds herself with a kinda crush on the boy she swore to hate?  Nah, she could never bring herself to tell anyone,especially not Adrien.

       She sighs, when she recalls the words he spoke to her a week ago.  Flashback..."You ruined everything between me and Lila...No go away!"...end of flashback... She sobs.  Maybe, I  should not have given him a kiss.  She shakes her head.  To late for that now, some good it would do her to try to mend things.  It seems by the return silence from him that he hates her now. So be it!

    Marinette arrives home safely.   She stays quiet as she has the entire day. She goes to her balcony to think.  

      Tikki follows Marinette.  She notices her holder looks glume!  She thinks, she must have had a rough day, or two.  She shakes her head. No, by the looks of it, Marinette must have gotten herself a bunch of  tough days.  Something must have taken place to make her so distant. What?  What though?

     "Marinette, what is it?"  Tikki says softly so as not to scare her.

      "Nothing, now leave me be."  Marinette says.  She does not care if she did not rememeber a jacket.  It is a bit windy out, but she could care less. She reasons, nothing matters anymore. Nothing.  She sees everyone else in Paris who appears to be so happy.  She thinks, now why can my life not be more like this?  What did I do to deserve this?  

        "Marinette, it is been a week!  Time to talk rather you like it or not."  Tikki replies.

      "Fine, it is Adrien!  I -I  made him angry.  Apparently because of me Lila no longer wants anything to do with him.  He is right.  It is my fault!  I am the one who gave him a kiss. I just had too. I-I uh..."  Marinette sighs.  

        "Marinette, do you like this boy?"  Tikki ask.

          Marinette shakes her head no.  "I do not like him.  TIkki, I love him!"  Marinette says.

            "Marinette, maybe he still loves you!"  Tikki states.

           "No, you were not there last week. He was more angry than I ever seen before and he told me go away.  He might as well have told me that I meant nothing to him." Marinette remarks.

           "Marinette, you have to pull yourself together.  I am sure Adrien was just upset.  I am sure he regrets the misdirection of his attitude.  Now, come on and tell me do you intend to confess to him?"  Tikki ask.

             "I  do not think I can."  Marinette says sadly.

                "Why not?"  Tikki ask.

               " I just can not that is all."  Marinette says.

              "oh, I see!"  Tikki says.

      Now back to Adrien...

          Adrien can not seem to find her anywhere!  Perhaps, Plagg is right.  What then?  What is he to do if he has gone to far and lost her for good?  He feels his shoulders slump in sorrow.  He really does still love her.  Now it is just a matter of  finding her so he can apologize and confess.  He can only hope he is not really to late.

         Plagg sees the far away look Adrien has!  Wow, he is in love with Marinette!  Well, good that he admits he still cares for her. 

          "Adrien, just tell her!"  Plagg advises.

          "If only it were that easy, Plagg." Adrien says sadly.

          "Kid, it is not like you to give up this easily."  Plagg says.

          "Oh, I suppose you are right!  How do I find her though?  I mean she did leave school without so much as a hello!"  Adrien remarks.

           "She is probably at her place."  Plagg says in between bites of food.  He is a big eater. 

             "Plagg, thanks  for the tip. I owe you one!" Adrien says.  He races out the door.
