Aurora's breath hitched.
There it was - the voice of the man whose role in her life was bigger than she gave him credit for.
The tears welled up quickly in her eyes. His voice was something that felt almost nostalgic. Precious.
The tears started falling as soon as she heard him say -
'Aurora uncles crazy aint he? Yeah'
But he loves you girl and you better know it.'
Aurora had a hard time focusing on the song as the past replayed in her mind. She wondered how she could even forgot such moments in her life. It all came flooding back.
The nights her mom held her close as he trembled and whispered I'msorrys to her and Audrey. The days she would hear him trying to keep his voice down so we couldn't hear him and mom yelling at each other.
How could she forget?
The one thing that started this all. The days she and Audrey stayed in the hospital praying to who knows what that their mother would live.
Addiction.
Aurora finally understood now. Her mother was sick. Drug abuse and over use. She understood her mother though. Raising two kids and one of them isn't even yours.....It couldn't have possible been easy.
It must be tough. She wondered how her mom could even look at her after all these years.
'I'm just sorry you were there and had to witness it firsthand
'Cause all I ever wanted to do was just make you proud
Now I'm sitting in this empty house just reminiscing
Looking at your baby pictures, it just trips me out
To see how much you both have grown it's almost like your sisters now'
Aurora's breath picked up as the tears blinded her vision. Sisters.....Her uncle Chan saw them both as sisters...Could it be...?
No.
She can't think like that. Too high of a hope just to be let down. Reality is not that kind. Not to her family. It has never been. It wasn't about to start now.
'wow, and i guess you pretty much are and daddy's still here
Aurora I'm talking to you too. Daddy's still here.'
The most choked off gasp escaped her throat.
Oh my god.....There it was.
He sees her as his own daughter.
What has she done?
She blamed her father and left him behind.....
When all he did was love her and give her a family.
She was despicable...

After a while Hyunjin found her clutching onto his iPhone as the song kept replaying. His niece passed out. He chuckled and kissed her forehead.
Jinnie could see the truth right in front of him. Aurora and Audrey weren't on the same page.
After Jiji told him everything he started seeing all of it with much clearer eyes. At first when he heard it the story he was angry at Chan but then, last night he listened to Chan's song. Crying as the boy rapped about his love for his daughters. All Hyunjin could see were the photos of Chan happy and content with his family. He felt for him. He never thought he would but he did.
When he first heard the story from Jisung he knew that the omega did all that he could, so the alpha was the one to be blamed, right?
No. Not right.
Bang Christoper Chan was a very private celebrity. Hyunjin looked up to him for that, he knew just how hard you had to work, to try to have such a normalcy like privacy when you're a celebrity. Specially one as huge as him. Someone who had everything but still kept things to himself. That's why his music was so good. Through his music people found out more about Bang Chan then they ever would from an interview.
The fault was no one's. They both tried and they both failed. It wasn't what either wanted to happen, but it is what happened.
The pieces had started to come together. He felt for both of them truly, he did, but at this moment he had started to prepare himself for the mindset he would need when everything would come to light. The guilt, anger, sadness, resentment, confusion. All of it, they would both have to go through so much, but so would the girls. He looked over at the young girl. He knew she should need him the most. Audrey would take longer to come around. And he would make sure to be there for her. Both of them, at their own times.

Aurora woke up hours later. Her mom was the first thing she saw. Jisung was caressing her hair as he looked at her with warm eyes. Aurora stayed like that for a moment - until she remembered what she was doing before falling asleep.
Shooting up, she looked around herself looking for the iPods but stopped when she saw her uncle Jinnie listening to it with a smirk on his face as he looked at her. She kept the eye contact trying to make sense of everything, when she finally did, her uncle sent her a wink and looked back down towards his phone, acting as if nothing had happened.
"You okay Love?"
She heard her mother's soft voice ask her. Her omega was on high alert trying to figure out if Jisung had anything in his eyes that could be marked as anger. But looking into her mother's eyes she nothing of the kind. All she saw was concern and pure, unconditional love. She knew he truly loved her. And she loved him too, with everything she had.
But Aurora felt guilty.
"Yeah, mom. I'm okay." She smiled.
Jisung gave her that one very motherly look that said 'I know you're lying to me but I'm gonna let this one go. This time.'
He smiled back to her and then asked what she would like to eat. She answered with - "Just whatever the special is."
He nodded while he got up to get her the meal and check that there wasn't anything that she was allergic to it in it. She was grateful that he left it alone, she needed time to process everything that would be happening soon.
Because the TV in front her said that they were 12 hours away from South Korea.
Her mind was everywhere, she definitely needed some time.
-
Once Jisung came back and gave her some food, while making sure everything and everyone else was okay. He asked her if she needed anything else.
"No mama, I'm okay, thank you. You should go eat your own food now."
He nodded and walked away after giving her a forehead kiss.
"Did you like it?" Her uncle suddenly asked.
Aurora looked at him and smiled gracefully. She nodded her head.
For the first time in a long time she felt content in her mind. Bang Chan wasn't her uncle. He was her father. And no one could take that away from her.
•••
Jisung sat down with a poof, finally ready to eat and then get some much needed sleep.
The thing is, Jisung was an insomniac along with his daughter and ex-husband.
Audrey was wide awake making a mess of herself while eating her very cheesy Hawaiian pizza - with no pineapples or else she would have had a fit.
Much like her father did once because said man found a pineapple on his burger.
He will never forget just how hilarious the scene of his 6'0ft husband walking up and down a Korean restaurant, while throwing his arms around and babbling his complaints of just how "-absurd! This is a monstrosity! There is a pineapple in my burger! A pineapple! A pineapple??!! In my burger?!?" - to both, the poor manager and chef, who looked like they were one more English complaint away from having a heart attack.
All the while he himself was close to passing out from laughter, with tears streaming out of his eyes, laying on the ground from when he fell off of his chair, and their managers were having a hard time keeping the other workers from taking videos and pictures of the quite literally, mess of a situation. Thankfully they didn't have anything to actually worry about because every staff member had sing an N.D.A, so it was in reality all okay.
Good times.
"How are you feeling?" He asked his daughter once half way through his food.
She looked away from the TV and shrugged.
"I don't know. How am I supposed to feel?" She asked solemnly.
"I can't really tell you that love, you have to figure it out yourself."
"Yes, because I have the best track record of knowing exactly what I'm feeling." Jiji nodded at her and understanding what she meant, the sarcasm wasn't hard to detect.
His lips into what Felix would describe as a ducks mouth.
"Well for one it would be a nice change of scenery." He tries jokes.
Audrey smiled with a scoff and rolled her eyes. But then the smile falls.
"Yeah, it's just weird I guess." She shrugged, lips down turned.
"How so?" He asked.
"Being so close to him." She sighed and looked out the window.
"When I remember him all I can see is your body in the hospital room." Her voice trembled.
"He wasn't there mom. He was never there." She said as the tears welled up in her eyes and looked down at her pizza.
"I needed him - WE needed him and he wasn't there. He never is."
She gritted, face now set into a frown matching Jisung's who also had tears in his eyes.
Audrey wasn't mad that her parents split up. Maybe when she was younger like how any kid would, but it was the fact that during the time she needed her father the most he wasn't there that really broke her. Jisung looked at her sorrowfully.
He understood that feeling all too well. He too went through that.
Han erased all thoughts when Audrey turned to him with glistening eyes. But her angry facial features set in an otherwise perfectly familiar way.
God she looked so much like her father. It was almost painful.
Jisung pouted, eyes growing two times their size and brought his daughter into a hug.
"It's okay, baby." He whispered.
"But can you do one thing for me?" He asked softly.
She nodded her head as Jisung smiled softly.
"Can you at least try ?"
After a few seconds he felt his daughter nod again.
-
The beginning of this flight Jisung felt like everything would be an emotional wreck.
The girls processing the fact that they were about to be much closer with their dad took a small toll on everyone. Walking on eggshells wasn't this particular group's most renowned talent.
Like at all.
Two hours before landing you could hear the commotion from Minho and Hyunjin fighting for the restroom sink.
"You had 20 minutes to finish doing your skincare! Now it's my turn!"
The whole front passenger plane heard them...
The girls were embarrassed and closed their parts of the pod.
"Well you had the whole damn plane ride to do your skincare!" Minho and Hyunjin were forces to be reckoned with when it came to their skincare.
That is until the final boss came in.
"Hey, move it. Both of you, I have to pee."
A groggy Lee Felix said as he motioned the two Betas out.
A sleepy Felix wasn't good for anyone so they looked at each other and rolled their eyes in defeat.
Settling for face masks before landing.
After the whole commotion Felix finally woke up from his groggy state. Wide awake and ready to explore.
"Did y'all hear two idiots fighting earlier? God, like people are trying to sleep!"
He complains while picking up his stuff so he wasn't in a rush for landing. Jisung turned and watched Audrey trying to control her laughter after seeing her two idiotic uncles with their mouths wide open in shock after hearing what the omega just said.
"I know! What children. Wonder who's going to be stuck with them these upcoming days." Aurora pipped in and Hyunjin gave her a look like he had just been betrayed.
"I know right? Poor them." Felix nodded.
Audrey seemed like she would start crying any second from how hard she was trying to hold her laughter.
"Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. Only spoiled people act like that. I mean I get it, we're in first class, so they clearly have money. But that doesn't mean you have to act like. So rude." He said pointing his finger at Aurora like he was stating a fact.
The two betas were practically cosplaying tomatoes, while Aurora and Audrey were looking purplish from trying not to laugh.
Jisung smiled softly, finally feeling comfortable like all his anxieties went away as soon as he saw the smiles on his kids' and friends faces.
