VIHAAN'S POV

At last, Monday came, the day for which I was waiting. Today I will be able to see the face behind the great progress of 'Aahana enterprises'.

After completing my morning routine I changed into my work royal blue coloured suit. I fixed my tie and added cufflinks to the cuffs of my shirt. After combing my hair, wearing my shoes and applying cologne I was ready.

I went downstairs to pick an important file and my phone with my wallet.I ate my breakfast and left for the office.

At 10:30, my assistant knocked on my door

"Sir, the car is ready. You have a meeting with Ceo of 'Aahana groups'." He informed

I nodded and stood up from my chair. I wore my coat and picked my phone placing it in my pants pocket.
I went to the elevator with Ankur, my assistant following me.

We exited the car and entered the building of Aahana enterprises. A few employees were entering and exiting at the same time.

Suddenly a group of 4 people surrounding a woman entered the building with bodyguards following behind the group.

All 4 people were discussing something with the woman. They all went away but the woman looked familiar. I can't see her face. But I was feeling very strange. My heart was beating a little loud and I was feeling nervous.

We went to the reception

"Good morning Mr Malhotra." The receptionist greeted me with a smile on her face and I nodded as a greeting.

"Secretary Rahul has informed me about your meeting with Ma'am. Let me just tell him about your coming." She said and I nodded again and gestured her to do so with the action of my hand
She called someone and after some time, a young man came to us.
"Goodmorning Mr. Malhotra Myself Rahul Kashyap, I am secretary of Miss. Sharma," he said and extended his hand for a handshake.

I shook his hand

"Well, you already know me, meet my secretary Ankur," I said gesturing towards my secretary.

They shook hands.

"Let me show you to the meeting room." He said and started walking towards the private elevator.
We went to the top floor. The lift door opened and we went to an empty room. I took a seat on the chair.
He dialled a number on the landline phone and said something.

Then he put back the phone and turned towards me

"Miss Sharma will be here soon. She is in an important board meeting please wait here for 5 minutes." He said

And I was slightly angry at this. They should have confirmed the right timings instead of wasting my time like this. But I could understand they might have some emergency.
Someone knocked on the door.

"Come in" Rahul ordered

A middle-aged lady entered the room with a tray on which coffee mugs were placed.

I accepted the coffee

Suddenly Rahul's phone started ringing. He excused himself and exited the room.

Only I was left in the room with a deep silence.

I looked around the room it was looking classy and rich. Good

I look at the time on my watch its been 7 minutes but there was no response from another side. The Ceo didn't enter.

I was losing my patience with every passing moment. I was getting very angry.

After 15 minutes the door opened again and I was stunned on seeing the person. I didn't know that I should be happy or shocked or angry. Happy that she was okay and I am seeing the person I love after six long years, sad because she was here and never contacted me in those six years. Shocked because she looked different and what the hell was she doing here?

Is she the Ceo of Aahana interprises. I can't believe it.

She was still looking the same as six years back but she looked more mature than before, her skin is looking more smooth, her features have sharpened a lot.

She was wearing a very fancy denim dress saree. She was wearing leather footwear. Her long dark brown hairs were tied in a messy but cute bun. She has some highlights in her silky dark brown hair. She had minimal makeup on her face and she carried her outfit with so much grace. She was looking so gorgeous. And a proper mature, powerful woman. She was still the same with amazing dressing skills. But she has changed so much as now she was carrying a powerful aura around her. Every step she took was showing her confidence. She has her head held high with self-respect, power and confidence but her eyes were cold. She has her left hand in her pants pocket and with the other, she was holding the door handle.

I was shocked and frozen to see her. I can't utter a word. I felt my heart skipping beat. And my heart was beating so loudly and fastly that I feared that she could hear my heartbeats. She never smiled on seeing me. Her face remained blank and emotionless along with her eyes. I was brought away from the frozen state when she took a step inside towards me.

She went to the opposite side of the table and took a seat behind the desk on the CEO's seat.

Her secretary Rahul entered again and stood near my chair.

"Ma'am, this is Mr. Vihaan Malhotra, Ceo of Malhotra industries. And Mr Malhotra this is Miss Sharma the Ceo and President of the Aahana enterprises as well as the Ram and Siya group of industries." he introduced.

And if I say I was shocked on hearing what he said it would be an understatement.

I mean I was not able to believe that she was the mastermind behind the worlds 2nd largest company. She is a business tycoon. She has her companies scattered all over the world. She runs a few very big companies indirectly. The reason that the economy of some of the big countries is still working is all because her.

I was brought away from my thought when Aadhya Sharma cleared her throat.

"Miss Sharma, it's nice to meet you after so long," I said controlling my emotions and in a cold voice.

"Likewise Mr Malhotra" She replied in her equally cold voice.

"It's quite a surprise to see you here, believe me, Miss Sharma," I said

"Glad that I was able to surprise you, Mr Malhotra." She replied still holding no emotions.

I nodded not knowing what to say.

"So let's come to business Mr Malhotra you know I am quite busy. So why do you wanted to meet me so eagerly." She asked

For half an hour we discussed a business deal.

And now there's a pin-drop silence from the last 2 minutes.

She cleared her throat to gain my attention.

"Would you like something to drink Mr Malhotra?"She asked

"No thanks, Aadhya. Or I should say, Miss Sharma." I said

"It's Miss Sharma for you, Mr Malhotra." She replied in her same cold voice

She dialed a number on the landline

"Bring me a cup of coffee now" She ordered someone on the phone in her same monotonous cold voice.

A lady came and gave her coffee after few minutes.

We were again alone with an awkward silence.

She stood up with her coffee mug in her hand.

"Okay then Mr. Malhotra. It was nice meeting you." She said and forwarded her hand in front to me for the hand shake.

I shook hands with her and she turned around. She was about to step out of the room and my heart was bating loudly.

"Why?" I asked

She turned her head to look at me and gave me a confused look.

"Why did you left me 5 years ago?"

Her eyes darted toward me instantly and she gave me an amused and slightly disgusted look. And my heart hurt on seeing the hatred shown in her eyes towards me.

"Seriously, you are asking me, why? Mr Malhotra?" She asked and took a sip of her coffee

I was silent not knowing what to say

"Obviously I am asking you, Miss Sharma. I can't see any other person in this room beside us two." I said I was hurt. Those memories from the past were coming in my mind again.

She shook her head in amusement but remained silent.

After almost a few minutes of silence, she said

"I think we have discussed the business matter Mr. Malhotra so the meeting ends here. I have other meetings to attend also." She said and again turned around to leave

I also stood up from my seat

"I thought you have changed but now I think I was wrong. Your one habit is is still here with you, the habit of running away from people as well as matters," I said and smirked. She looked at me amused

"You're wrong Mr Malhotra I have changed ,because I realized I deserved so much better and I did never had any habits of running away. But some people and some. circumstances made me run away." She said and I was confused

She looked at my confused expression and smiled sarcastically

"Certain Truths pains our heart a lot that we wanted to segregate ourselves from every traitor and liar." She said and walked towards the door.

I was more confused now about what was she talking about. Which truth, and traitor who was she talking about.

"Don't worry you will get to know about the full truth and also your mistakes which you're trying to ignore, one day and believe me that day is coming soon." She said and smirked

Her assistant Rahul came to her.

"Ma'am there's an urgent matter. Miss Ahuja called just now." He said in a hushed tone but I heard it and he looked tense.

She also looked tensed after hearing him. She looked at me and I saw an emotion in her eyes for the first time after these 5 years, 11months and 13 days but that emotion lasted for less than a second. I was not even sure if I saw it or it was just imagination.

"Well, I have to go Mr. Malhotra. I have more important things to attend." She said and turned away to go, not even giving me a chance to say bye or anything else.

But after taking a few steps she turned her head in my direction

"Give my regards to Ms Singhaniya, your best friend...." She said with a mocking expression but I don't know what she said at the ending of her sentence.

She has made me more confused.

Before I could ask her anything else she left the room only leaving her fragrance of cocoa and roses.

I was very confused. I didn't know what she said.

"How was your meeting went sir?" Ankur asked bringing me out of my thoughts. When did he come?

"It was good Ankur we have finalized a deal. Further details will be discussed later." I said

"That's good, Congrats Sir." He said with a smile on his face.

"Yeah right, Thanks Ankur, let's go," I said and we exited the room.
