Leo's POV

I walked up to the simulator, and grabbed the glasses. The last time I was in one of these it was my 14th birthday with Adam, Bree and Chase. It hurt me to think that I might never see them again, even though it's now my time to try to protect them as much as I can. Big D snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Leo, you ready?" I nodded quickly, and put the glasses on. The last thing I saw was Big D before everything went black.

The simulator

I opened my eyes to a darkened sky with gray clouds. Tall grass was surrounding me. I got up to see I was in a vacant forest. I was the only one here. Why was I here?

"Big D? What am I supposed to do? Where am I supposed to go?" I began to pace back and forth until something hit me. Literally. I fell face first to the ground, and spun around to see some guy dressed in all black.

"Big D! What do I do?!" He spoke through my thoughts.

"Leo, don't worry just act on instinct." I rolled my eyes at him.

"Well yeah I figured. Any better advice?" There was a long pause.

"Stay alive." his voice echoed throughout my head as the thug ball his hands into fists, and tried to hit me while I was on the ground. I dodged his strike, and leapt to my feet.

"Hey! Haven't you heard the saying don't hit a man while he's down?" He looked at me surprised that I was talking. I took my position, and did a Chuck Norris round house kick to his stomach. As he fell to the ground I decided to run. I felt faster than lightning.

"Super speed. Nice!" I nodded approvingly, and did a little victory dance. Before I even knew it, I was surrounded by thugs.

"Well... that escalated quickly." They all started running at me at full speed. I put my hands up to my face in defense, and I heard yelling. I looked up to see most if them on the ground. I looked down at my hands, what did I do now? Wait, hold up. Molecular kinesis.

"Big D, how many abilities do I exactly have?" I heard laughing on the other side.

"Oh gee, I don't know all of them!"

"Oh my god! Big D really?!"

"Yeah. Now that you know, why don't you use those abilities?" I rolled my eyes again.

"I would if I knew what I was supposed to do!" He sighed.

"Beat the thugs, and find the particle collider!" He said in a sarcastic tone. I could hear Evans laughing in the background.

"Hey Big D? Can you tell your movie buddy over there to shut it? Oh and stop talking to me like I'm five!" It was silent on the other side.

"Oh now you're quiet." More thugs ran at me ready to attack. I began to run away again. I needed a place to think of where the collider could be. I felt a funny feeling coarse through me. Coordinates. I stopped dead in my tracks to look at them, but the thugs ran into me falling to the ground. I grabbed them with my super strength, and threw them in the direction they came taking out more of them. I pulled up the coordinates, and began running again. Behind me there was someone chasing me. It wasn't the typical thug though. This one has bionics too. It was Bree. I stopped and turned around, stunned.

"Bree?" She stopped and looked ahead at me. Her eyes shining a bright green. Something was wrong with her. She took a strike at me, and I caught her fist.

"What are you doing? I thought you were on my side" She kicked me and I fell to the ground. She stared down at me with a death glare. I had to realize this was part of the simulation. I had to fight her either way.

"Well. Looks like it's someone's time of the month again." She growled at me, but before she could do anything else I tripped her, and she fell with a hard smack to the ground.

"You want some chocolate with that?" Even simulation Bree could be brought down by period puns. She looked hurt at me as I got up and ran away from her. I needed to block her out of my head. All she was to me was a barrier. A barrier that happened to be bionic. I ran until something hit me in the chest. Hard. It was Adam. I fell to the ground again with loss of air. I knew what I had to do to get past them. I have to play on their weaknesses. He came down on top of me, and began punching me relentlessly. I grabbed his shoulders, and threw him off of me. I got up as he ran at me again. I took my position, remembering the robot throw down, and the art of Iketo. I grabbed him by the arm, and launched him over my head. I ran ahead, and realized the next one was Chase. I stopped again in empty forest expanse.

"Chase, where are you?" I called out jokingly. All of a sudden I could feel myself being raised into the air. I craned my head to see Chase behind me.

"Molecular kinesis. Smart, but you forget that two can play at this game." With that I lifted him in the air so we were at the same 20 foot height. He struggled in the air looking down. Like he wasn't expecting that.

"Listen Chase, I'll let go if you do." He glared at me throwing me as hard as he could to the ground. I yelled out in pain as I hit the hard ground. Chase caught himself in midair before landing smoothly on his two feet. He smiled snidely at me as he began to choke me with his molecular kineses.

"Chase!" I squeaked at him I swayed my arms back and forth. I couldn't breathe. He yanked me upward so I was face to face with him as he squeezed my throat harder. So this is how I was going to die, with my brother at my throat. Wait. I could use that spin kicky thing he always brags about doing in the shower. It made me shutter just thinking about it. I pretended that I was losing consciousness. I shut my eyes, and felt myself drop to the ground. I could hear him sigh in success as he walked away. I opened my eyes to see his back turned to me. I got up and sped behind him. He turned to me as I tapped on his shoulder.

"I can't believe you thought you got rid of me that easily." I scoffed as I spun and kicked him down. His back hit a tree and he sunk down in pain. I gave him one last look as I ran toward my destination. Finally I could be done with this simulation. I stopped abruptly. There was a cliff 5 feet away from me.

"What the hell is this Big D?!" I walked over to the edge, there was a building down there. That's where I need to be, but how was I going to get down there without killing myself? My thoughts were interrupted as I turned to see Adam, Bree and Chase on either sides of me. I was surrounded, trapped. I replayed what Big D said to me before.

"Trust your instincts." I looked back toward the cliff, and then back at them.

"Tag... you're it." I turned and ran towards the cliff looking back when I did. They sprinted after me, reaching their arms out to grab me. Before they could though, I leapt off the cliff. If I planned this right, I won't die. I closed my eyes as I fell, the wind hitting my face. I reopened my eyes to see I was in the building that was at the bottom of the cliff. I geoleaped, like I did in the parallel universe. I sighed with relief. Now, all I had to do was turn off the particle collider. Easiest thing I've done throughout this whole simulation. I made a force field, and launched it with my super strength towards the control panel. I then used my super speed to get out of the building as the roof began to collapse inward. Once I was out of the building, everything went black again.

I opened my eyes to see Big D as pale as a ghost.

"So... How'd I do?" He stared off into the distance. Frozen.

"Big D? How-" He cut me off.

"You geoleaped. How'd you do that?"

"I thought you said I had all abilit-"

"Douglas never created geoleaping Leo. How'd you do it?"

"Remember when you created that proton fuser?" He nodded at me.

"Yeah what's that have to do with anything?"

"Well, it worked, but it created a wormhole to a parallel universe. A parallel universe where I had bionics. One of my abilities was to geoleap. What's the big deal?"

"I said I gave you all abilities... all the ones I knew of. You could only use those abilities I gave you. I never gave you geoleaping. You discovered that ability on your own." Dr. Evans got up and walked towards me as he began to explain.

"Leo, don't you see, that defies the program we created. It disproves everything we know about the molecular structure of the bionic human. You just gave us the combination to create this ability, and many more. Leo you made a scientific breakthrough!" I looked at him with wide eyes.

"Ok... do you guys have any other questions for me?" Big D nodded.

"Actually I do. How did Adam, Bree and Chase get incorporated into the simulation? That as well wasn't possible."

"Well I was thinking about how I might have to fight against other bionics to save them, and they just you know... appeared I guess." I shrugged confused at myself.

"Your own imagination manipulated the simulation entirely..." Big D thought out loud.

"Umm... you never really answered my question."

"Which was?"

"How'd I do?"

"You... did amazing." Big D sounded surprised at himself. I looked at both of the mad scientists. I think I knew what that meant, but I had to be sure.

"So? Does that mean I get bionics?" He ran his fingers through his hair, and looked at me, silence filling the air.

"Well..."
