ROBIN POV
Everyone was in the library when Wallys communicator went off and Batman's voice appeared. "Team there is an emergency in Jump City. Robin will meet you there." I inwardly cheered "What about the children?" Kalder asked "I've called in batgirl to watch them. Now go." And he signed off. I looked at Babs and she was clearly annoyed "Team suit up, we're going to Jump." Kalder said and they went out to fly away in the bio ship.

"Well I better suit up and take the zeta tube over. See you guys later!" I said running off to the bat cave. I got suited and beat the team to Jump. I see the new villain and.. a girl? She sees me and escapes the villains sight she comes over to me and says "That's cinderblock. Your Robin. I'm-" a rock thrown at us cut her off "Fight now talk later?" She asked "Fight now talk later" I repeated while nodding. The teamed showed up and the girl was on cibderblock again. "So who's the villain?" Wally asked "The girl seem to be our allie. She said that the villain is cinderblock. Let's move in." I briefed quickly.

OPEN POV
The team moved in to help the unknown girl. They attacked from all angles but Cinderblock was fixated on Robin. He grabbed him and threw him at a wall as the team finished taking him down. The girl ran over to him and called the police to bring Cinderblock to his holding cell. The team ran to Robin as soon as Cinderblock was gone. The team finally got a good look at the mystery girl, she had long black hair and a purple costume and carried twin sai and a bo staff.

The girl picked him up and started off. "Where are you going with Robin?" M'gann said. The girl simply looked at the strangers and said "He won't make it to wherever your going safely. Come with me and I'll do my best to help." "How do we know we can trust you?" The speedster asked "Well if I wanted to take him I could have done it ages ago while you guys were fighting Cinderblock. But I didn't and waited for you guys to be done. Good enough?" The team looked at each other then nodded in agreement

ARTEMIS POV
"So what's your name? We didn't really get a chance for introductions," I asked "Well I know who you all are," she stated "your the JLAs covert op team consisting of Auqualad, Artemis, Kid Flash, Miss Martian, Robin and Superboy. I'm Desperada but you can just call me Des for now." The team nearly stopped in shock "So, Des, where are you taking us?" Auqualad asked vocalizing that question we were all asking in our heads

"Well I'm taking you to my apartment. And we're here." She said jumping off he roof. We were shocked to find that she landed on a balcony. Des went inside and motioned for us to follow. It was a truly small space with only one bed. She put Robin down on the bed and took off her mask. Then she went to one of the many cabinets and got medical supplies. She slipped the top half of his costume off to work on his injuries. We didn't really know what to do but stand there. She looked up at us and giggled "there's some juice in the fridge along with some grapes and other fruits. I always have sandwiches in the fridge and I thinks there are some cookies in the cabinet." She went back to her work as kid idiot ran to take up her generous offer

"Thank you but how will your parents react to all the sudden missing food?" Auqualad asked politely. She froze then relaxed again "I'm absolutely positive they won't mind. They'd probably be happy I have people to share it with." She said with sadness I'm her voice. Miss M slouched slightly and created a mindlink "I'm sensing a lot of saddened feelings from her" she said "well then someone should ask her about it" SB said "I may not be included but I have a feeling Miss Martian senses I'm sad right?" Des asked "Well I mean yeah actually." I said "Well you could have just asked. My parents are dead. You can read more in Millies OC book. (Check it out) " Des said with attitude

"I'm so sorry Des-" KF was cut off by Des "Please call me by my name. I'm Melaney. Mel for short." She said smiling and finishing up with Robin who was still unconscious "No offence but how did you get an apartment?" SB asked "None taken, I work my butt off to keep myself afloat. I do everything. School, work and even my own business making and selling stuff I make." Mel said proudly "Well that is very impressive Melaney" Auqualad said impressed "You keep a very tidy home" he complemented "Thank you Auqualad. I try to stay organized even tho no one comes over." "How could no one come over? You sound awesome!" KF exclaimed "I'm not very liked at school, ya know being smart and all" she grinned

Artemis stretched and winced at a bruised rib "Cinderblock can really throw a punch." Mel just giggled and said "I know right? What a hoser, eh?" Every just stared at her and she realized what she did "Ah shoot my Canadian's showing." Robin groaned and sat up. "What happened?" He mumbled "Cinderblock happened." KF said "I see. Well you guys should go back to your mission. I need to go back to the bats." He said and jumped off the balcony

"Well I guess that's our que." Said SB "It was nice meeting you Melaney." Said Auqualad "It was very nice meeting you all as well." She said politely. Miss M called the bioship to the roof and we went back to Gotham

DICK POV
I just got to the living room as that team came back in the front door. I looked at Babs "How was watching the kids?" I asked "Not that bad actually. They just watched movies and slept. How was your adventure?" She asked "I got pretty banged up but I'll be ok." I smiled

The team walked into the living room "How was your mission?" I asked acting curious. Wally looked at me and said "It was pretty fun! We met a girl named Desperada and she's super badass and we fought a villain and then Rob got hurt but he's off with the bats again." He grinned as if asking me if it was a good description. I nodded impressed that he said it slowly enough to understand "That sounds pretty cool. But you guys should probably go have showers, you all stink!" I said plugging my nose dramatically. They all walked off and I told Babs I was gonna do the same. They we all fell asleep watching Total Drama Island.
