Aerlinniel POV

I follow Lady Galadriel until we are a pretty far distance from the Fellowship. I still cannot believe that she knew my parents.

"What did you need to talk to me about?" I ask her.

"Your parents and I were really close. I was even staying in the kingdom for a while before you were born. Because of you getting cursed, you and your Naneth almost died. Thankfully, I was there, otherwise you both would have died." She tells me.

My Naneth and I almost died? "How come my parents never told me about this? Or about you?" I question.

"I do not know the reason why they did not tell you. But, I am pretty sure your Naneth mentioned something about me." She says, hinting at something.

What could she be talking about? I try to think back but I don't remember her ever mentioning Lady Galadriel's name. But, there has to be something. Wait.

"You are the one who knows how to break the curse." I state, coming to a realization: Maybe I will finally be able to see after all.

"Yes, I do know how to break the curse. But I will not say what it is. Do not worry, you will be able to see soon. I want to figure out what it is on your own." She tells me, I wish she would just tell me how to break the curse. But it seems I won't have to wait much longer. "For right now you need to focus on you mission."

Mission?

At the mention of this, it reminds me of a dream I had so many years ago.

~Her Dream~

I wake up to, again, see a waterfall. I fear that this will be the only thing of beauty I will be able to actually see. But then, something moves out of the corner of my eye. I turn around to find nothing but darkness.

When I turn back to where the waterfall is, it's gone and a bright light is in its place. I have to squint because the light is too bright for my eyes. I am shocked at how different this is. And also, that I can see.

I see a movement again, but the light is to bright for me to see what or who it is. "Hello?" I call out. I get no answer. "Is there anyone there?" I call out again, this time I get a response.

"Greetings Aerlinniel, daughter of the King of the Hidden Kingdom in Fangorn." The voice that answers me is soft and calm.

"Who are you?" I ask, wondering who can this be.

"You will find out when you go on a very special mission." She says.

"What would that be?" I ask.

"Like I said, you will soon find out."

"But, why?" I say, confused on why I would be chosen to do this. "I am blind, except for sometimes in my dreams."

"That is why I have chosen you. You have strong powers that I have given you."

"Powers? How can this be? I don't even know who you are."

"I will tell you more when we meet during your mission." She says, I wish I could see what she looks like, but all I see is the bright light.

"Can you at least tell me something about my mission?" I ask, she is silent for a moment, most likely trying to decide if she should tell me something or not.

"You may not speak of this to anyone until we meet. It is your destiny and your mission to save Middle-earth from evil."

~Dream is over~

"You are the one that talked to me in my dream so long ago. You told me I was going to go on a mission. You also told me that I had powers and that you are the one that gave them to me." I state, remembering how Lithonion used my powers when he had that war. Since then, I haven't figured out how to use them.

"Yes, that was me in your dream. I gave you those powers when I saved you and your Naneth. That is also why your eyes are a different color from your family's. This is the mission: To travel with the Fellowship and to keep them safe. Frodo is going to go off on his own, and you have to let him. There is a lot more to come, Aerlinniel, and you need to be prepared for you. You also need to learn to use your powers. But, I must warn you to be carful. If Sauron finds out you have powers, they are going to come after you." She explains to me.

"I have not been able to figure out how to use them."

"You just have to believe in yourself. You will find out how to use your powers at the right time. Now, go and get some rest. You are going to need it."

I head back to my friends but, before I can get there, Someone gently grabs my arm. It is Legolas.

"I need to speak with you."
