In the Pokemon World, Sasuke was feeding his pokemon some rice balls while waiting for their turn in the preliminaries tournament.

Chairo: Mmm... Ms. Penelope's recipe is the best!

Aoi: Yeah! I never get bored by the taste at all!

Sasuke: You should be thanking her next time you meet up with her.

Kiro: True, she deserve a thank.

After they finished their food, the announcer calls out the next trainer to the battle stage for the tournament which is actually Sasuke's turn next.

Sasuke: Our turn now, let's go.

Sasuke put his pokemon back into his pokeball before he walks out towards the battle stage.

Announcer: On our left side! The trainer that manage give us a good showdown in his first time in the World Tournament! Sasuke Uchiha!

Sasuke walks into the battle stage while all the audience cheers loudly for him.

Sasuke: *Sigh* These audience... are very annoying...

Announcer: And on the right side! The trainer that is part of the Triple Trouble that was also the former gym leaders in Striation City! Cilan!

Sasuke can see across the battle stage is his opponent, Cilan. When he enters the stage, the audience starts cheering even louder than before.

Sasuke: So, you are Cilan, correct?

Cilan: *Bows his head* Why yes I am, good sir. I am a grass type specialist and also a former gym leader. I am hoping a good battle from you, good sir.

Sasuke: Grass type specialist, you say? (That would explain his hair, at some point)

Cilan: Well, let us begin! Go, Pansage!

Sasuke: Let's do this, Shiro!

Both trainers bring out their pokemon out of their pokeball before everyone starts cheering on them.

In the Shinobi World, Ash was reading some of the questions that was written on the paper test. He could see his surroundings are very quiet and intense.

Ash: (These questions... are they all just measurements?)

He keep reading some of the questions and notice it wasn't just about measurements, but also history of the Shinboi World and some jutsu.

Ash: I guess I could answer some of these questions...

He starts writing down his answers on the paper test. Meanwhile, not far from him, Boruto was sitting on his desk while reading the questions on his paper test, somehow he seems nervous.

Boruto: (Well... I can answer some of these measurements, but history? Not an expert...)

Suddenly he can feel a something slither in his clothes that made him shivers in his spine and it came out of the neck hole of his shirt, it was Mitsuki's snake.

Boruto: *Scared* (M-Mitsuki?! Really?! Right now?!)

The snake hisses on Boruto's ear, but instead of hissing noises, it was Mitsuki's sound.

Mitsuki: *Whispers* Boruto, don't worry. I'm here to help you on the history questions, since I know you aren't that much of an expert on it. *Giggles*

Boruto: Grrh... (What's the giggle for?!)

Mitsuki: *Whispers* Trust me, Boruto. I studied the history before we came here, so leave it to me.

Boruto: (Thanks, Mitsuki. Now I can finally answer these questions)

Boruto starts answering the measurements questions first before the history questions. Meanwhile, Soha who is sitting next to Ash was clearly having hard time answering.

Soha: (I-I didn't study any of these... I guess I have to use my jutsu to cheat. After all, nobody can see through my ghosts jutsu on the noon)

Soha summons a ghost eyeball to look around, he was looking at Ash's answers through the ghost eyeball and starts copying it.

Soha: (Sorry Ash, but this is kind of futile for me to do...)

In the Pokemon World, Sasuke was thinking of a strategy to defeat Cilan's Simisage. Somehow, Cilan was thinking the same thing.

Sasuke: Alright then, Shiro! Use fly!

Shiro starts soaring up into the sky while their enemy was looking up at where she is flying.

Cilan: Wo-oh, Pansage! Gunk Shot!

Pansage gathers some poison power on his paws before he shoots it towards Shiro who was about to strike towards him.

Sasuke: Shiro! Watch out!

Shiro quickly cover her body using her wings before the attack hits her, but she also manage to hit Pansage that thrown both of them away around the stage.

Cilan: Pansage! You okay?!

Pansage: *Pants* Yeah! I can still stand!

Cilan: Good

Sasuke: Shiro! Are you alright?!

Shiro: Y-Yes...

But when Shiro stood up, she was all wobbly because of the poison effect.

Sasuke: Oh no, you're poisoned.

Shiro: Don't worry Master, we just need to keep strike before I'm down to my last stamina...

Sasuke: Alright, I believe there is more chances we have left.

Cilan: Pansage! Use Disarming Voice!

Sasuke: Shiro! Protect yourself with Iron Tail!

Pansage starts screaming his Disarming Voice before Shiro cover herself with her Iron Tail.

Sasuke: Hold it.

Shiro: Grrhh....

It didn't take too long for Pansage to keep screaming his attack till it slowly fade, he then saw an opening for Shiro to attack.

Sasuke: Now! Use Iron Tail!

Shiro then flew towards Pansage before hitting him hard using Iron Tail, sending him flying.

Pansage: Oh no!!

Sasuke: Good hit!

Cilan: Don't give up Pansage! Counter it using Rock Tomb!

Sasuke: Shiro! End it using Electric Shuriken!

Shiro summons some Electric Shuriken in front of her while Pansage summons Rock Tomb while up in the air.

Sasuke and Cilan: Now!!

Shiro blows the shurikens towards Pansage using her wings while he kicks away the rocks towards her, all of the attacks went through and didn't collide at each other.

Shiro: Wh-What?!

Pansage: It can't be!!

Both attacks hits the two pokemon critically, making both pokemon fainted instantly.

Announcer: Wah! Both pokemon fainted!! What an intense showdown!!

Both trainer sighs and put their pokemon back into their pokeballs.

Sasuke: That was a good match, but I still got more up my sleeve.

Cilan: I can say the same for myself, and grass pokemon is not my only pokemon.

Sasuke: You're not only a grass type specialist huh?

Cilan: Like old sayings said. "Prepare an umbrella before it rains"

In the Shinobi World, Pikachu who was sitting on his desk besides Metal Lee was manage to answer the questions, except for measuring ones.

Pikachu: Mmm... (What should I do? I can't seem to find the measuring part right this time... Oh my Arceus...)

Metal: *Looks up* Huh? (That's...)

Metal saw a mirror panel attached to lamp and was moved by an invisible thread moving around as if it's giving out a signal, he saw who was moving it, it was Inojin.

Metal: (Inojin? Wait, what is he trying to tell me?)

He looked at the mirror panel and what is it trying to say, the moving signal said "Metal, I'm here to help. If you see this panel, wear your headband"

Metal: (Got it. Thanks, Inojin!)

Metal put on his headband before he starts copying the answers that was showed on the mirror panel.

Pikachu: Hmm? (Why did he put on his headband all of the sudden?)

Pikachu look up at where Metal is looking and saw the mirror panel that was showing someone else's answer.

Pikachu: (What the? Didn't the examiner see this?)

He looked at the examiner, Shino himself. He was busy reading something when he is on the watch.

Pikachu: (S-Seriously?)

Pikachu heard the mirror panel was moving as if it's giving out a signal to Pikachu, saying "Pikachu, I know you are there. I'm here to help you and Metal"

Pikachu: (Wow, thanks Inojin. I owe you a lot for helping me)

He look up at the mirror panel that shows someone else's answers then he starts copying it.

Jonin: You there. I saw you cheating, get out.

Pikachu starts shivering and saw who was the jonin was talking about, it was someone else that was caught cheating. The ninja quickly got banned out of the room.

Pikachu: (Fyuh.... I'm glad it wasn't me that got caught...)

One by one, some of the ninjas got caught cheating and was dragged out of the room.

Pikachu: (Oh geez, please be okay guys...)

Jonin: You there, the yellow one.

Pikachu froze in place by the words that the Jonin said before he looked at which Jonin was talking. Luckily the Jonin didn't point him, but another ninja that was wearing yellow.

Jonin: Saw you cheating there, so get out.

Ninja: What gives dude?! As if you have some proof I was—

Suddenly the ninja got pinned down harshly before getting dragged out of the room.

Ninja: This is stupid!! I won't forget this!!

Pikachu: (Geez, what's his problem? Oh well...)

In the Pokemon World, Cilan bring out his other pokeball that he was preparing while Sasuke bring out his.

Sasuke: (I better be careful. In this Preliminaries tournament I only allowed to bring 2 pokemon to fight. I brought out Kiro and Aoi in the first match, now it's Shiro and Chairo next)

Cilan: Cinderace! I choose you!

Sasuke: Go! Chairo!

Both pokemon got out of their pokeball, when Chairo looked at who is his enemy, he was shocked.

Chairo: C-Cinderace?!

Sasuke: You know her, Chairo?

Chairo: Yeah, she helped me out a few moments ago when we just got here. I didn't believe you would be my enemy.

Cilan: Wow, it seems like your pokemon is shocked about who is facing right now.

Cinderace: How wonderful to see you again, Chairo.

Chairo: I could say the same thing, but we are in a middle of a fight, so don't go easy on me.

Sasuke: Chairo! Use Dig!

Chairo quickly starts digging down into the ground at high speed to make Cinderace lost track of him.

Cinderace: Wow, he's quick.

Cilan: Cinderace! Run around! He can't follow you if you move quick!

Cinderace nods and starts running around the battle stage so that Chairo couldn't hit her, but Chairo suddenly came out of the ground precisely at where she is before he headbutt her and made her fall on the ground.

Sasuke: No matter how fast you run, Chairo can still keep a track on you.

Cilan: Dang it... Cinderace, use Pyro Ball!

Cinderace got up on her feet before she starts dribble a pebble on her feet a few times until it lights up to be a fireball.

Sasuke: Oh no! Chairo, dodge!

Chairo quickly dodges, but the Pyro Ball hits his leg and made him fell. He couldn't stand up because of the burn on his leg.

Chairo: O-Ouch...

Cilan: Alright Cinderace! Use attract!

Cinderace starts winks her eye lovingly at Chairo before some pink hearts starts floating around his head.

Sasuke: Oh no, Chairo! Break free from it!

But it was too late, Chairo instantly got affected by the attract and he fell in love with Cinderace.

Cilan: Good work! Now, finish this with Swift!

Sasuke saw Cinderace summons some stars out of her paws then he look back at Chairo who was just sitting there, only focusing oh Cinderace's cuteness.

Sasuke: Chairo... Don't forget about Shiro!!

Hearing the words Shiro suddenly clicked something in Chairo's head, suddenly the attract effect breaks and he gain consciousness again.

Chairo: Right, I'm fighting for her!

Sasuke: Good! Now, finish her with Lion Barrage!

Chairo quickly do a quick steps within sound speed towards Cinderace that was about to use swift, he then kicks her up into the air and follow her floating in the air behind her.

Cinderace: Ouch! What the?!

Chairo: This is the end!

Chairo kicks her left cheek, then follow by kicking her right side of her neck, then he rolls towards above her then punch her down.

Chairo: This is the end!! Lion Barrage!!

He then ends it by using a side kick down to the ground as hard as possible, he then jumps away and stand on his knee. He can see the attack made her faint.

Announcer: O-Opposing Pokemon has fainted! The winner is... Sasuke Uchiha!

All the audience starts cheering loudly for both trainers for the intense fight. Cilan can only sighs before he puts Cinderace back into her pokeball. Sasuke do the same thing with Chairo

Cilan: Well, that was a really a good battle. I am glad I get to fight you.

Sasuke: Me too, you better train your pokemon well.

Both trainers then left the battle stage with a smile on their face.

In the Shinobi World, Sylveon was busy answering all of the questions, on both history and measurements.

Sylveon: (I'm lucky I studied both of these things, I just hope Pikachu and Ash can answer the questions...)

Shikamaru, who was the examiner in the room saw the time through his watch before he snaps his fingers to get everyone's attention.

Shikamaru: Time's up!

Sylveon: *Sighs in relieve* (I'm lucky I manage to answer all the questions)

Shikamaru: Now, flip your exam paper and listen to me.

Sylveon: Huh?

Everyone was mumbling in confusion about what Shikamaru said to them, but they decide to do so.

Shikamaru: Now, listen closely. Knowing you are in a group of 3, there is only one simple question. If your team is cornered and one of your teammate must stay there to buy you some time for the others to escape, which will that person be?

Sylveon: (Huh? So... I have to choose which one of us will have to sacrifice for the others?)

Shikamaru: You have to write down the person's name on the back of the paper test and the person who got pick will fail and the others can keep going to the next part of the exam.

Everyone in the room starts mumbling in worries while Sylveon can only look down at her paper, desperately.

Sylveon: (Wh-What should I do? I-I can't sacrifice any of my friends... one of us will be stuck in this world forever...)

Suddenly something clicked in Sylveon's mind, she then starts calming down and she put her pen down.

Sylveon: (I see, this question is so easy to answer.)

A few minutes later, everyone that got freed gathered around outside of the Ninja Academy while the persons who got sacrificed was staying in the room.

Shikadai: That last question was easy, huh?

Inojin: Mhm, we don't need to be worry about it.

Chocho: *Eats potato chips* I don't even need to bother to think about it.

???: Hey Shikadai!

Shikadai looked at who was calling him, it was Ash, followed by his teammates, Pikachu and Sylveon.

Shikadai: Ash! Your team got through huh?

Ash: Yep, that last question was very easy actually.

Sylveon: We don't need to answer it after all, because we can't leave our friends behind.

Pikachu: Yep, you guys have the same idea, right?

Chocho: Yes, I wasn't bothered so I just eat some chips until the time is up.

Ash: But... Soha sacrificed himself for his team, so he didn't pass.

Inojin: He did? Wow, I feel bad for that guy.

Ash: Well, I guess that goes to show that when it comes to bonds, he'll do anything to protect it.

Shikamaru: Alright everyone, for those who have passed the first test may commence to the Forest of Death to start the second part of the exam.

Sylveon: F-Forest of death?!

Chocho: *Keeps eating* Calm down, I guess it won't be that bad. Come on.

Ash: Right, let's go everyone.

The rest of the ninjas that passed the first part of the exam starts following the examiners towards the Forest of Death.
