Both of the detectives walked through the control room with the motel manager.

The motel manager stopped into an open door studio-type room and said, "This is it sir. This is where we keep the black box of the CCTV footages."

The three of them entered the room, then Fred asked, "Were you here when David Freud logged in?"

"No sir, all I have is the records from our logbooks and computers."

Al also began his line of inquiries for the motel manager, "So you didn't personally saw whether David Freud checked in with a woman.. or maybe.. some other company?"

"I'm afraid not.. sir."

Al nodded his head, and excitedly replied, "Okay.... so let's just see the tapes."

Fred was also excited, and he exclaimed, "Yeah! Let's run it! Play it for us, please."

"Okay, sir.", then he walked towards a tall gray-colored galvanized steel desk where there's a small desktop monitor was placed.

The three men almost put their face in front of the monitor just to have a clear view of the CCTV footages.

With an almost whispering sound, Al uttered, "Forward.... fast forward a bit more... 9:18pm ... 9:20.... 23...PAUSE!", and with a surprised face, Al continued, "I'll .... be .... DAMNED.. Play it again, but now in SLO-MO..."

Fred was surprised on the next events. He exclaimed, "HOLY.... SHIIIIIIT!!! That's the 'lobby shot' there. The two of them came in TOGETHER! Damn AL, you're theory is fucking RIGHT!"

"Yeah..", Al pointed his hand towards the monitor, then said, ".. that's Lisa Colbert there.. and that's David Freud there.... HOLDING Lisa Colbert's left hand."

Fred wagged his head while sarcastically grinning. "But Al, I think your Fifty Shades of Gray theory was wrong since on this video, David's not carrying anything. On the other side, Lisa's just carrying a shoulder bag."

"Yeah.. a shoulder bag that we didn't recover..."

Fred replied, "Even their clothes were missing and their wallets too, that may contain their IDs, were all gone. We don't even know if they have cellular phones, since we recover nothing of those. All of the things I just mentioned could be substantial evidences if we had just recovered some..."

Al stood up straight, and did his old habit of putting his both hands inside his side-pockets while thinking deeply. Al's face was filled with vivid curiousity and confusions, so he replied in a very serious tone, "That killer is toying the shit out of us! He's giving us something from his right hand, then hiding something on his left. I am pissed off right now."

Fred didn't utter anything. Since he too was pissed off by the psychopath killer.

The motel manager gazed towards Detective Al's face and asked, "Sir, that's the lobby footage.. do you want to proceed to the hallways footages and shift the tapes now?"

Al nodded and then replied, "Yes please. But I need the original copy of both those footages as part of the evidences. "

"Alright sir.", the manager replied.

"Now play it.."

Fred excitedly waited, as the footage of the hallway was played.

"THERE'S IT!!! There they are...play it in SLO-MO!!", Fred exclaimed enthusiastically.

Both of the detectives waited. Then they saw David Freud and Lisa Colbert, passionately kissing while leaning on the red door of their motel unit before they had entered the room.

Fred sarcatically grinned, gazed towards Al and said, "No doubt Sherlocke. You're right! This could be a crime of passion."

Al was really dismayed of the act, since Lisa Colbert was married (they didn't still knew anything about David Freud yet). He pulled a note, listed something on it and uttered, "Okay.. now let's see who'll come..."

They continued playing the CCTV footage, and both of the detectives were silenced by what they saw..

After a couple of minutes, the door of the next motel unit - located at the right side of David and Lisa's room, began to open. There's a man, roughly around 5'10 to 6 feet tall, who went out from the said room.

He was wearing a plain black hoodie with it's hood covering his head and some parts of his face.

He's wearing a blue denim jeans and was just standing straight like an arrow, while holding a black bagpack on his right hand.

Since he's just standing straight, the part of his body that's visible towards the CCTV footage was only his right corner angle part. And since he's wearing his hoodie on, it's covering his head and his cheeks, so his face wasn't barely visible/clear on the CCTV footage.

The strange man just remained his position for atleast another minute, until he decided to look towards the direction of the CCTV camera.

The two detectives was somehow disappointed on what they saw. HE SAW A MAN STARING AT THE CCTV WEARING A HOCKEY MASK ON HIS FACE.

He was staring at the CCTV camera for atleast a couple of seconds as if he's checking if it was working or not.

He then closed the door of his room, turned his back against the CCTV camera, grab the phone on his left side-pocket using his left hand, and then made a gesture of calling someone or answering it. Whether someone called him or he called someone; whether he said something or nothing, was not certain since the footage has no audio recorder.

He put the cellular phone back inside his left pocket and took off the mask, still using his left hand. But since he's standing opposed the CCTV camera, his face wasnt revealed.

He walked a bit, stopped at the unit's door of David and Lisa's room. He DID NOT knocked, but the door of Lisa and David's room soon opened - there was a slight opening that was made.

Whether it's David or Lisa opened the door was not certain, because the scene was blocked by the unknown 'hoodie man's' back.

He slid the bagpack that he's holding , towards the slight opening of David and Lisa's room. He waited for the door to close. He put his hockey mask again before turning around. He gazed towards the CCTV camera's direction once again, and then raised his right hand - waving a lot of dollar bills.

The masked man entered his room again, but he didn't closed his unit's door...

Detective Al commanded with a serious tone, "Fast forward it a bit.. I want to see what will happen next..."
