5.
10 minutes had passed after 6 am..
Both of the detectives walked in awe yet still puzzled about the peculiarity of the crime scene.
The bed, the pillows and the bed's plain white bedcover were covered with HUGE AMOUNT OF BLOOD, indicating that someone had been slained there.
But the strange thing was, the bed was empty. Except that there's a ROPE tied on the both ends of the bed's headboard and footboard, as if someone was tied up there.
On the middle of the blood covered bed, there's a piece of paper with writings on it (written in blank ink pen), on top of it, is a GOLD RING, and behind it is a plain black scarf, folded as if it was used to blindfold someone.
Detective Fred, with a sarcastic grin on his face, wagged his head and then spoke, "This might explain the freakin marks on the murdered woman's wrist and the missing ring on her finger...", he continued wagging his head and then asked Detective Al, "Would you agree, Al? What do you think?"
Detective Al sighed and just nodded continuously. He's thinking deep. He's now puzzled and trivialized.
Al walked near the bed, (wearing a pair of gloves) he took the ring and took the piece of paper beneath it. There are drops of blood in the piece of paper, yet the words were still readable.
The written words are :
"In the darkness of circle two, souls are blown around endlessly by the winds of unquenchable desire."
"What the hell could that mean? Is it a riddle or something?", Detective Fred asked in a disappointed tone.
"I don't know. But the suspect is pointing us into something. Perhaps his motive... or... maybe he's suggesting a justification on why did he do this brutal massacre... I don't know... I'm puzzled." Detective Al gently massaged his forehead.
Both of detectives Fred and Al just stood up for a couple of seconds, staring at the blood-covered bed, puzzled and intrigued.
Detective Al look towards Fred and said, "Fred, we will take these as evidences. We still need to VERIFY that ring and asked the husband of the murdered woman if that is THEIR WEDDING RING. Meanwhile, I'll keep this note and study it."
"Okay.", Fred put it in a small resealable plastic bag, then he moved towards the naked, dead body. "Al, I should need to take mug shots of these victim too."
"Yes, you should. If you want, you can also survey the body. I think my mind's a bit crowded now for too much extremes." Detective Al uttered with an exhausted pale face, yet with a smile on his lips.
Detective Fred noticed that Al seems exhausted, so after he took pictures of the victim, he continued examining it. He's muttering to himself while surveying the brutally murdered body.
"Hell yeah, your dick's been sliced and thrusted to your mouth, your throat's been slit by a psycho, crazy, lunatic... and ... it's my first time to see anything like this... hell fuck.. fuck that psycho who did it to you.."
Al who's just standing right beside Fred who's on a kneeling position, heard all the mutterings of his buddy. He just ignored it, but suddenly Al remembered something, so with a serious and loud voice he said to Detective Fred, "Hey Fred, can you look at his left backhand and see if there's also something that's been carved there?!!!"
Fred did checked it, then, with a sarcastic and dismayed grin on his face, he wagged his head and enthusiastically replied, "HELL YEAH!! Here's a letter T!!! What the fuck is with this alphabets?!! A and T.. A and T... what the hell is with A and T? That goddamn beast is freakin' me out!"
Al once again put his two hands on his pocket, bit his lower lip, breathed deeply and didn't utter anything. He roamed his eyes around the room, wishing to see more substantial clues for his puzzled mind.
Al started to notice some peculiarities on the carpet-covered floor of the room. Al smiled a bit and then uttered, "Fred, look around the carpet and the whole scene.. what do you notice?"
Fred replied curiously, "I don't know... Come on, just spill it Al!"
"This is just a small motel unit, just a typical one. There's the bed, and just right beside it is the bathroom. The whole floor is covered with beige carpet, so upon entry, we can immediately notice and vividly see the color of blood reflecting against the light colored carpet. Just as the same with the bed. The bedcover is white, the sheets and pillows are also white, therefore the contrast of colors are very vivid. That's why you noticed the bed immediately. Now, because the dead body was placed near upon the entry, our focus is diverted immediately to that dead body, with his genital thrusted inside his mouth, right? But not until you surveyed around the room and began to notice the bloody mess on that bed."
Fred became more confused, so with a curious and intrigued face, he asked, "So, what's your point?"
"The point is, we can either overlook or solve the suspect's GAME. I believe the suspect staged this carefully and he planned it masterfully. So we need to pay attention to every details that he's leading us into. Just like the other droplets of blood inside this room and the muddy foot tracks around the carpet. Try to look away from the very vivid clues you see, and you'll see it too Fred."
Fred just listened carefully with a serious face. He didn't replied or say something. He slowly roamed his eyes around while listening to Detective Al's parlance.
With a bit of smile on his face, and confidence on his tone, Detective Al stated, "Look Fred, if we are believing that the woman from the old apartment building awhile ago, was tied tight there, and she's been butchered on that funky bloody bed, then was it strange that there's much amount of blood on that friggin bed, rather than on this dead man's location, when in fact his throat had been slit and his penis had been cut off? Think of it."
Detective Fred was enlightened. "Hell fucking yeah!", he exclaimed with enthusiasm.
Al continued, "Now Fred, take a look at that droplets of blood from the dead man's location... where was it heading?"
Fred followed it with his eyes, and answered, "Towards the fuckin' bathroom!!", then Fred stood up and immediately walked towards the bathroom.
There he saw a plastic transparent pitcher, wet with a bit of water on its surface, (indicating that it was used and washed) and there's still a little amount of blood inside it.
The bathroom floor was wet, particularly on the shower area, where there's a visible small amount of blood stains on the tiles mixed with water.
Fred (still wearing a pair gloves) took the pitcher and showed it to Al. He then asked to his buddy, "There are stains of blood inside this pitcher. What can you say about this, buddy? Why do you think he needs it?"
Al breathed deeply, bit his thumb's fingernails and think of a possible theory.
Then the silence was broken again by the voice of Officer Owen. The officer enthusiastically exclaimed with a serious face and tone, "Sir! We received a call from the other officers who are guarding the other crime scene at the old apartment building in 117 York Boulevard, sir. They believe that they've seen some possible evidence down there, just outside the old apartment building!"
Detectives Fred and Al, with a loud and intrigued tone, exclaimed in SYNC, "Spill it Owen!"
