you crumpled my
smiles and threw
them away like
they were tissues
streaked with tears.

your canvas was
made out of the
strings holding
my heart together.
you ripped them
apart and fiddled
with the hooks as
i fell further down.

your lethal love
coalesced into
inky streams of
venom bubbling
back and forth
in my veins.

you laughed at
misunderstood
jokes and those
sent off sparkles
in your eyes;
they were like
stars in my sky.

i hollowed out
my heart in hopes
of that your sights
will fall on the
loved up blotches
under the cherry
trees we grew
up playing around.

but, that never happened.
