Hey my lovelies,

If you might not have noticed or might not have read my book when I first published it, I was stuck with this book cover.

Yeah-h-h, not my best work. Also, considering the people in the same line of work as I am and my students taking my subject, this is a travesty and in no way good. 

But, after watching a couple of Ted Talks and seeing the one featuring Chip Kidd (the graphic artist behind the book-jacket of Jurassic Park), with renewed confidence, I have managed to play with the scraps I had and the blessed boredom of not working in the summer, that I ended up with this. 

It seems decent and a lot times better than my old one - not to mention in HD!  I have found that the key to a good book cover is having it show a glimpse of your story - to give the readers an idea of what to expect. 

Now as a perfectionist, this isn't perfect, and I'm still not sure if I chose the right image out of the final three I had: 

The first one as you had seen a blue bottom-half that complements the orange hues of the top. 

The second one has a green bottom-half that works well with the red hues and the blue-colored title. 

The last one has the background muted altogether to emphasize the character. 

Anyways, I'll just use the first one for my cover for now. If I change my mind (and I will) I can just replace the cover.

Fun fact: The insignia under the title is actually my personal watermark and not a magical symbol. It just looked funny to add that in.
