A/N I really didn't know what to do about Katniss and I feel as if this story has become quite depressing so I hope the decision I made is one you like because I has taken me a while to think up. I am soo majorly sorry if I disappoint you but it was a hard decision that had to be made. I would like to also say that cuscus81 really made me think about what should happen so thanks you cuscus81 I appreciate your comment. Anyway this is getting really long so enjoy!

<Katniss's POV>

We walk cautiously into the doctors office. The blonde haired blues man holds my hand as we check in. My brown locks of hair cover my face as if trying to block out the world. We didn't bring my little duck or Rue in fear that they may cry. I hear a nurse call my name and Peeta pulls me up and walks me to the room we are assigned.

"Alright Mrs. Mellark we have your results in." The doctor says. I start shaking profusely, dreading the answer I don't want to hear.

"We have tested your blood and urine samples and have come to the conclusion that makes you very lucky. You are not pregnant." What? How does this nurse think I'm lucky? I am about to speak when she puts up a finger. "Let me finish, you aren't pregnant but you also don't have pancreatic cancer." A smile stretches across my face and I see Peeta has the same reaction. "Now don't get to excited because I haven't told you why you have been throwing up every morning. You have been puking because you have a low stage of breast cancer. Obviously it is in your breasts. Your immune system is so strong that when the cancer hit it and it couldn't heal the cancer it's only protection system was to make you throw up." I am relieved I finally have an answer but turns out Peeta has some questions.

"So how bad is the cancer and how do we get rid of it?"he asks. That's Peeta for you. He always wants a straight answer.

"Well the cancer is not bad at all and we get rid of it by simply removing Katniss's breasts so the rumor will be gone and if we don't find anymore tumors she is good to go!" The nurse says cheerfully. I smile but frown at the loss of my body parts.

"When is the surgery?" I ask.

"The sooner the better!" The nurse say giddily. I think for a moment. It's Tuesday so Saturday should be good. I make the appointment and walk out of the hospital with new hope.

<Peeta's POV>

As far as we know my Kat is safe and sound. I can't stop smiling. Once we get in the car my phone starts to ring. I look at the screen and see Finns contact name calling me. I answer with a smile.

"How'd it go?"

"I'll tell you later! Why are you calling?" I ask Finn.

"I have had the greatest beyond greatest idea!" Finn says as childish as usual. I smirk at his remark and Katniss looks at me with a questioning look. "Come to Jo's house, we are all here and waiting for you, hurry"
