A/N okay so in this chapter Gale takes action and so does Jo.

<Cato's POV>

I just have to do it. I am at the top of the university and about to jump. I could of killed my best friends baby. I almost did. I have to do it. On three I tell myself. I'm ready.

One. Two. Thre- I hear a door open.

<Johanna's POV>

I am walking up the stairs to the top of the university. I like to sit up there sometimes. It's very relaxing. I open the door and gasp. "Cato!" I scream.

"Jo you have to go! You aren't going to want to see this!" He yells back to me.

I run closer to him. "Why are you doing this?" I ask trying to be calm.

"I could of killed you and Thresh's baby! I don't deserve to live." I can't believe it. What do I say. I know exactly what to do.

"Fine. If you're going, I will too!" I tell him. I walk up next to him.

"Jo don't do this!" The wind is picking up. Probably because we are so high up. "Please Jo go!"

"No! This baby needs it's uncle!" I scream to him. Something flashes across his face.

"Okay," he whispers so I can barely hear him over the wind.

"Thank you Cato. Thank you." I pull him into a hug. A hug between to friends.

<Gales POV>

Today I take action. At school I will make sure Peeta is alone in the hallway. I will do this by telling him Katniss wants him to meet her in the hallway next to the old music room. Then I get rid of him.

I see Peeta. He isn't with Katniss. In fact he isn't with any of his friends. "Hey Peeta, ya um Katniss told me to tell you that she wants you to meet her in the hallway outside of the old music room." He looks at me like he doesn't believe me.

"Okay then I will," he says. He obviously doesn't believe me. I just have I hope he will still show up.

"Bye then," I say and then walk away. Now I just have to hope he doesn't talk to Katniss.

Later that day.

<Peeta's POV>

I am on my way to the old music room. I wonder what Katniss wants. Probably something about the wedding. When I get to the music room I don't see Katniss at all. "Gale? Why are you here?" I ask madly confused.

"I'm here to get rid off you so I can go the one thing I want. Katniss."

He comes over to me. I start to walk backwards but he just grabs my shirt collar and throws me into the wall. My back aches. He comes over to me. I kick him in the shin in self defense. "Son of a bitch!" He yells. I try to run away but he grabs my shoulder and punishes my nose. Pain rushes through my face. I grunt.

He throws me against the wall again. My head hits first. Now my vision is blurry. I see Gale coming towards me again. "Hey!" I hear someone yell from down the hall. The voice is familiar it sounds like Finnick. Relief floods me. I turn my head towards the voice. I see Fin running towards Gale. Someone else is running towards me. She has a long, brown, braid.

"Katniss," I whisper.

<Katniss's POV>

I am walking with Finnick. Then I see Gale beating a blonde boy who is slumped against the wall. It's Peeta.

I hear Finnick yell, "hey!" We start running to the scene. Finnick runs to Gale and I run to Peeta. I hear him whisper my name.

I kneel down next to him. I put my hands on his cheekbones. His nose is bleeding. "Peeta oh my god." I feel tears fall down my face.

"I'm okay,"he says. Clearly he is not.

"No you aren't," I say.

"We seem to have bad luck don't we?" I just nod. I look behind me. Finnick has beaten Gale to the point where Gale is on the floor beaten and bloody.

"Come on let's take him back to our dorm," Finnick tells me.

"Okay." We each take an arm and put them over our shoulders. He isn't bad enough to be taken to the hospital so the dorm is the perfect place. When we get there we place him on the bed. He still isn't unconscious which I guess is a good thing. I run to the bathroom and wet a wash cloth.

I go back to his bed and wipe his nose clean. He winces. It's already bruising. "I don't think it's broken," I tell Finnick. He nods.

"I am going to go find everyone else and call the cops to get rid of that god forsaken piece of shit Gale," Finnick tells me. I nod and smirk. I remove Peeta's shirt once Fin has left.

"Okay Peeta I'm going to flip you over so I can look at your back okay?" He nods to me. I start to flip him over and he moans loudly. "I'm sorry did I hurt you!" I ask him.

"Oh no I'm fine," he answers. He is joking of coarse.

I go back to the bathroom to get another washcloth but this one I soak in steaming hot water. I walk back to Peeta and look at his back. It's has a huge black and blue bruise on it. I sigh. Then I lean down and rub the bruise with the hot washcloth. At first Peeta tenses up, but then he relaxes. I smile knowing that he is finally comfortable.

I continue to rub his back and then I ask him, "How are you?"

"Never had a bad day in my life, since I met you," is his answer. Then the door bursts open. Foxface runs in followed by Clove, Glimmer, Marvel, Annie, and Finnick.

"How is he?" Annie asks.

"He's okay, no broken bones, just some blood and bruises," I tell her.

"Thank god," Glimmer says followed by sighs of relief from the others.

"What do you do to Gale?" I ask Finnick.

"Well I um got him arrested," Finnick says.

"You're leaving something out," I tell him, and he is.

"Well I may of prevented him from ever having children my kicking him on the balls."

"What about balls?" Cato says. He and Jo just walked in the room. We all laugh, except for Peeta who is currently face down in a mound of sheets and pillows.

Later that night.

<Cloves POV>

We are all sitting and talking in Finnick and Peeta's dorm room. Peeta is asleep on his bed though. I look up at Cato. I have a feeling he is cheating on me. With Jo.

The signs are all there. He volunteered to drive her home, he told me the other day he was so proud of her, not to mention Jo and Cato showed up together today after Peeta took his beating.

I just hope I'm wrong.
