The Youtube "MineTube" Experience
A lot of players started out their Minecraft experience on the well-known and loved youtube. I was not one of those people and found youtube months after I learned to play my favorite game on a Playstation 5.
The first videos I looked for were about Redstone, soon I found Pixlriffs' survival guide to learn basic skills since me and my friends exclusively played creative mode. I started watching Let's Plays right after the release of 1.18 when dozens of amazing YouTubers started fresh.
It can be hard at first to find good channels and tips; lots of YouTubers simply organize challenges or create more funny than educational videos, which, I admit, I sometimes do watch. Some of the best Let's Plays, challenges, and Survival Guides come from less-known channels! Here are some of the best!
Pixlriffs: Hands down my favorite, he gives dozens of tutorials and amazing play-throughs. His 1.18 Survival Guide is updated every single weekday, making him the most constant by far! I could definitely learn from his devotion! His tutorials and playing speed is constant, and he covers everything from building, surviving, biomes, to basic enchanting and potioneering!
GeminiTay: She has amazing series, and her speed is quite constant though it does shift quite dramatically from episode to episode. She supplies a variety of series; Modded (XLife), One Block Skyblock, Hardcore, Vanilla, Console Guides, and an amazing new 1.18 Let's Play. Her only flaw is consistency - she's in so many series at once so you only get an episode of each every 2 weeks, which is annoying if you like one series over another.
IBXToycat: More streams, jokes, and videos breaking down every aspect of the game than most channels. He is one of the notable YouTubers who plays Bedrock Edition, which is a scarce find, especially for how vast his audience is. He tends to ramble off a bit and has a lot of odd topic choices and tendencies, but is overall quite good at listing all the bad things about updates. Always a laugh.
MrBeast Gaming: Mostly competitions and random giveaways. He's super fun to watch, though, even though his videos are a little repetitive. There are lots of fun Minecraft challenges, which are always hilarious to watch with the MrBeast groups' commentary.
Wattles: Amazing 1.18 Let's Play! His builds are gorgeous, and he's educational but still casual. He allows his viewers to name animals and places in his series, and he has great goal setting! Overall, his builds are the most amazing thing to see, especially the process speeded up! Finally, he also does a variety of good vanilla updates and mod breakdown videos and a much-loved List Week each year!
fWhip: He built a legit mountain castle in episode 3 of his 1.18 survival hardcore series. He carefully constructs some of the best builds I've ever seen. He puts so many hours and so much good quality work into every episode, reaching a whopping 70 Hours for his Cave Village Empire. He also invests time into amazing builds on the Empires SMP and is one of the miners I respect more than any others.
Skip The Tutorial: Great tips and lists of unusual things and new ideas. He has some amazing topics and a huge audience.
Dallasmed65: He has an amazing survival series that covers over 400 episodes to date! HIs world tours are super fun to watch, and his ideas are endless!
MagicGum: Some of the best quality videos on the platform, some amazing theories, and beautiful builds and renders! His best videos are about if everyone was transported into Minecraft.
Black Plasma Studios: Have animated Minecraft short films and movies of out-of-this-world quality. If you want an amazing experience, watch Songs of War. It's the best Minecraft animation series to date, and is absolutely revolutionary! Unfortunately, they were only able to finish one series, but the Knights of Ardonia are manufacturing season two and keeping on the 'War of succession'.
These are my favorites, and most of my subscriptions! There are many more amazing YouTubers, and I'm not saying they aren't just as good! And I know, I know, I'm forgetting some very important YouTubers: The Speedrunners; Dream, IlluminaHD, Couriway, and so many more!
Dream especially is amazing, and I know he's the biggest YouTuber on MineTube... but, nothing against Dream, he isn't actually someone who I like to watch. But, many others do like to watch Speedruns and it's nothing bad, it's just my opinion - and I don't really like speedruns. Nothing personal against anyone.
Anyhow, there are so many amazing MineTubers out there; take Technoblade and GeorgeNotFound and TommyInIt or Mumbo Jumbo and Grian and ForrestBono and APhmau and even more undiscovered people!
Go get on the MineTube and get crafter - er - watching other craft!
Like if you want to see another chapter on MineTube, or if you liked it!
