Chara was a bit spent emotionally but smiled all the same. Gaster bet this was her first smile in quite a long time. It surprised everyone even Chara herself. She never smiled in the six years she was with her pack because if she showed emotions, it was a sign of weakness and needed to be destroyed. The smile she has soon faded but came back as if she was extinguishing it.

Gaster POV

I sigh as I know that I might not be able to help them with that. They seem scared to the point as if they have experienced something truly awful and that awful thing was going to happen again. Then again maybe that experience was their way of life, and they can't help but think back to the time. I think they might even have Ptsd or something similar to it. I'm not entirely sure she can reenter society correctly. I'm going to have to think about this differently. What can I do to help her through this?

Welp, I'm stumped on this. Nothing about this seems to make any sense, but she follows Asgore like a puppy dog but as of late she has gradually stopped doing that almost entirely probably due to Frisk presences next to Frisk's father the king, and now that I think about it I don't believe that Chara hasn't officially met Frisk. Chara seems apprehensive of Frisk presence almost to the point of fear and then not at all. 

She also stays quite far away from the other six humans but not to the point of running away from them as she would do for Frisk. One time Chara was relaxing in Asgore's lap about to fall asleep, but something awoke her, and she yawned and stretched before getting up and walking away just as she left the room Frisk showed up, and they seem down and when they saw Chara going the room next to our room, and he seemed to be getting worse.

He was at first quiet for a moment and I waited patiently for him to speak when I didn't speak I gestured towards Chara's direction and they nodded and got the picture or most of it. I thought it as well and thought it well due time that Chara met Frisk for the first time well not technically but still. I wonder what will happen if I force this to happen, as far as I can tell it won't end well.

However, as of late Chara has been hanging around me more than ever and well me and the Prince of the Underground (A.K.A Frisk) have never gotten along ever since the incident. That is a story for another day. Chara is very quiet, and so sometimes I forget that she is in here with me when I am working on stuff and to put it just when I am working with my colleagues I get very 'sarcastic' with them. Especially if they ask a simple question when the answer should be well within their knowledge. I also have noticed that when she talks to mainly Sans when she uses sarcasm and the way Chara does it is very hard to decern is she is using it or not. Just like me, oh Asgore, no what I have done to this child.

But on other news, the Core output is still not enough for the whole Underground, and that's because of the recent explosion and the incident with Frisk the other Prince of the Underground. I sigh as my colleagues, and I share a cup of joe after working hard all day but still no progress on the core functionality or its effects on the Underground. I rub my head as I try to think of ways to increase power output so that the ruins can have light or anything in that manner. I look at the core's core and push myself away from my desk and decided to take a walk away from the center of the reactor.

"☟︎♏︎⍓︎ ♑︎◆︎⍓︎⬧︎📪︎ ♓︎🕯︎❍︎ ⧫︎♋︎🙵♓︎■︎♑︎ ♋︎ ♌︎❒︎♏︎♋︎🙵 □︎🙵♋︎⍓︎📬︎" (HEY GUYS, IM TAKING A BREAK OKAY.) I say begin to leave the core.

"👍︎♋︎●︎●︎ ❍︎♏︎ ♓︎♐︎ ⍓︎□︎◆︎ ■︎♏︎♏︎♎︎ ♋︎■︎⍓︎⧫︎♒︎♓︎■︎♑︎🖴︎ ⬧︎♓︎■︎♍︎♏︎ ⍓︎□︎◆︎ ♋︎●︎❒︎♏︎♋︎♎︎⍓︎ ♒︎♋︎❖︎♏︎ ❍︎⍓︎ ■︎◆︎❍︎♌︎♏︎❒︎📬︎"(CALL ME IF YOU NEED ANYTHING; SINCE YOU ALREADY HAVE MY NUMBER.) I say to my most senior scientists.

They nod to me as begin to take a shortcut away, but I look back and realize that Chara is sleeping on top of my chair. I sigh as I go back and pick them up as I walk home instead of taking a shortcut home. I feel their breathing and to be honest they seem to be even more of a child than Papyrus is sometimes and other times they look even more mature than Sans can be. Huh, you really are something else, aren't you?

I make it home and put them to bed as I go get some groceries and some ingredients for something I saw on the undernet when Sans was on it. It's a chocolate cake, she seemed to like chocolate, so I hope that she enjoys chocolate cake. I soon begin to wonder the stores of the Underground smiling as I see my hard work paying off. Lights everywhere and people enjoying electricity. 

I begin to buy ingredients and make sure that everyone here has the power to do stuff. I look around and realize that the output that Core gives off is actually enough is just that too many people are using it in the cities, and thus the ruins lack power. Hmm, what if we increased the efficiency and talk to the townsfolk about using less power so that those who live in the ruins can live better lives as a temporary solution as we try to work on the main problem.

I get back, and Chara seems to be still sleeping, and Sans and Papyrus are home as well. I smile as I get to work on cooking this dessert but first I begin to make spaghetti for the meal and leave the cake for dessert. I start to prepare both of them at the same time, but I start with the Spaghetti first, so the smell covers the chocolate up, so its a surprise or an attempted surprise anyway. 

I soon finish dinner and then focus on the dessert all the way making sure Chara is asleep once I end both at the same time. I put the cake inside the refrigerator to let it cool for a bit. Then set a timer for thirty minutes as I go tell the kids and Chara that dinner is ready. I watch as they eat and I still don't see Chara up or anything. I get up and go check up on her to see if there is anything wrong. I find her deep in thought, and it looks like she is going through something. I grip her shoulder's attempting to bring her back to reality. As soon as my hands touch her shoulders, her eye shoots open, and she looks around as if her surroundings have drastically changed.

They almost seemed to be afraid of something but when their eyes adjusted enough to see me. Their eyes relaxed, and they had a faint smile. They look around for moment getting used to their surroundings and then they without any reason they hugged me, and I was shocked only for a moment until I hugged back, and as I hugged them, I back caressed their head softly rocking them. They soon began to cry into my shoulder tears and emotions falling out of their face. Wondering what did they do to deserve such a caring family even though they still didn't have a mother. How do I know that? I can only tell what my kids are thinking and nothing else? Since I took them in are they becoming more and more like us because of their nature or are they becoming my child in a more literal sense than before?

I shrugged it off, which I don't usually do, but I have learned not to mess with humans unless they are the enemy. They won't ever forgive you if you do something almost unforgivable. I look at them, and I rub their head as I look into their eyes with a smile.

"Hey, you ready to eat? I have prepared dinner and dessert. Also, the dessert is a surprise for you. Come on little one let's go get food." I say as I pick them up and carry them to the table.

I sit them down on the table and let them eat or attempt to eat the Spaghetti. I'm not the best cook in the Underground nor am I the worst. She begins to eat and stops after the first bite and then stares blankly ahead towards the other side of the table where I am sitting. I wait for her to say something anything at all would be nice. Instead, she blinks once before continue to eat her food.

She looks at me signaling that she wants to talk after this food. I nod hoping for the best but realizing that she might have liked perhaps. I sigh as I wait for Sans and Papyrus to finish their meal along with Chara as well. They finish their food all at the same time almost. I get up before they finish completely and bring out the chocolate cake that I prepared and realize that I forgot the time I had set and completely ignored it. I hope no one notices though.

I bring out the cake, and I see Chara's light up as she sees the chocolate cake. I smirk as I set it away from them and they frown but wait patiently. I slice three pieces and give one to Sans another to Papyrus and the part to my self. Chara raised an eyebrow and still waited patiently for her bit. Sans took his time when eating it, and Papyrus eat his rather quickly but then realized that Chara didn't have a piece and looked at me asking permission I shook my head as I have something that Chara absolutely loves apparently.

"Chara, I assume you like this cake am I correct?" I ask her and Sans raises his head from the cake and looks towards Chara as she smirks.

"No Gaster, not at all. It only looks like I love it." Chara says sarcastically as they roll their eyes as I am shocked by their sarcasm.

"Okay, you don't get a piece as I eat the rest of it," I say with my own smirk as Chara eyes widen to this remark.

"Unless well first you cut that attitude with me however you can do it with anyone else but not with me alright, and second I think it high time for you to meet the prince of the Underground. To be exact me and you are going to meeting the human Prince of the Underground." I with a firm grip on the chocolate cake.

I encase it in my magic and teleport it away from here and wait for their answer as smiled smugly. Chara sighed in defeat as they look at me and nod their head and my smile widens as Sans covers his own smirk.

"Looks like Chara just got boned," Sans says as he holds back a laugh and papyrus groans.

"Fine, I'll meet the stink'in Price alright," Chara says with a sigh and an annoyed expression.

I smile in victory as I bring back the cake and cut myself a slice as I get the rest to Chara. I now know that I could never finish that whole cake while it's still good at least, but now I see that Chara loves Chocolate and has an endless appetite for it as well. Hmm, that is a good thing to keep in mind and possibly a thing for Frisk to use. After devouring that chocolate Chara seems to feel sleepy once again, and I am amazed to see her so tired and think back to the things, and I wonder can Chara have chocolate? I know that the Lesser and Greater dog love chocolate, but they can't eat it. Is Chara the same way and she just ate an entire cake. Gods why didn't I think about that now and not before. 

I keep an eye on her and realize that it is, in fact, similar to Lesser Dog's condition but not to the same degree and I think in small doses she could have it with no problem. I rub her back as she begins to vomit into the toilet repeatedly. She looks pained but also like she doesn't regret eating it though. After purging the chocolate from her system, she looks a lot better; however, she still looks like she needs some rest. I tell her to go wash up and rinse out her mouth and then brush her teeth to get the stomach acid out of her mouth.

I guess we will be meeting the Frisk the Prince of the Underground Tomorrow. I just hope that everything will go well. Also, I hope that Chara takes a liking to him if not then I might have to dig up some buried past and talk to Frisk about that Incident and probably apologize finally. I roll my eyes as I put Chara to bed and lay next to her, letting her feel safe as she falls asleep.

This the next Chapter and to be honest, I wasn't happy with the second Chapter. I thought I put too much info into it, but it turned out beautiful and decided to go off of it and thank you for believing in me and supporting me and sorry once again for delays in updates.
