part twenty two

ALYSSA

When I woke that morning, it felt amazing to wake in the arms of someone, and to simply lay there awake as I admired the man beside me while he slept. And, since it had been a while for me, the feeling of having someone's arms wrapped around you protectively was amazing and I was something which I could easily get used to doing every single day for the rest of my life—especially if that man was going to be Andrew and he was going to be the one holding me every morning.

I had admired the peaceful expression which covered Andrew's face as he slept. His hair was all over the place, mostly from where I had been running my fingers through it, his clothes were now creased from the limited distance which had existed between us as we slept, and his hand was still interlocked with my own. There were no signs on the worry, or even the fear, which had been there last night and for the first time, in probably a very long time, he actually looked happy and I was the person who had made him feel that way.

And, after spending the morning just cuddling with each other and talking about anything other than the business, he finally left me at half five this afternoon so that I could get myself ready for this evening. I had, obviously, tried to convince him that there were place other than Darren's restaurant where we could spend our night together, but he was insistent that's where we were going and there was nothing I could do to prevent it from happening.

I still don't know whether he was foolish, or whether he was simply trying to prove a point to his brother that he had won this time rather than the other way round, or whether he was just genuinely interested in his brother's restaurant and wanted to take me there because he really never had been there before this evening. Either way, I wasn't excited to be going there, but I was going to trust Andrew's judgement, this once anyway, and hope that he wouldn't fuck it up before it had even started.

I had spent the last fifteen minutes admiring myself in my mirror and, in my unprofessional opinion, I thought that I looked good in my one-shoulder black dress which finished mid-thigh and the white heels which I had matched with it for the night—Robert had become my shopping partner in the last couple of months, after I realised just how good he was at knowing what worked and what didn't, and he was constantly helping me out with both of those things whenever we went out for the day. He was quite the fashion expert and I rather enjoyed our shopping trips together, they would happen at least once every two weeks and more than half my pay check would go on new clothes or shoes, whichever I felt that I needed in that particular week.

My hair was curled and clipped to the side with a pair of silver hoops I had found in one of my drawers, and I remembered that my father had given them to me on my sixteenth birthday because it was a tradition that the females of my family were given a pair of silver hoops on their sixteenth birthday to wear in special occasions. My mother still had the pair which my father gave to her for their twentieth wedding anniversary, which didn't follow tradition to the letter, but my father wanted my mother to know that she was part of his family and nothing was going to change that—especially not his own mother who had never approved of the marriage and had done all in her power to prevent it from happening all those years ago, my father had told me the story many times of the reason for becoming estranged from his own parents, and it was the one thing which made me believe that it was possible to find real love in the world.

I grinned to myself when I heard the front door, and I could only assume that it was Andrew, and that he was early, given that I didn't have many visitors and the only ones I did have, were all busy with other things today. Darren was busy with the restaurant this evening, since he was the one who had organised everything which was happening, and Jenni had already informed me that she was busy with Danny so I wasn't to bother her for the entire day.

"Damn. You—" but the smile quickly fell from my face when I saw that it wasn't Andrew who was stood on the other side, but rather his mother and, to make matters worse, her expression was unreadable and I didn't know it was that she wanted, "Mrs Collins."

"Please, Alyssa, I have told you before to call me Diana," her expression didn't even change and that made me slightly nervous. After two months of silence on her part and making it clear that she wanted nothing to do with me, despite my best efforts to make peace with her and explain that I wasn't implying her to be a bad mother, so seeing her at my door was something of a surprise. "I am allowed to come in, or am I just to stand here?"

"Uh. Yeah. Sure," I moved to the side and allowed her to step inside, where she headed straight for the living room and she took her seat on the smaller of the two sofas. I closed the door and followed suit, already knowing that Andrew would walk right in and reprimand me for leaving the door unlocked, as he had done on the occasions where he broke into my apartment and watched me sleep.

But, if the door wasn't locked, I guess he wasn't technically breaking in. Leaving the door unlocked was an invitation for thieves to come in and take what they want, not that there was much for them to take, because the most expensive things I happen to own are my dresses and underwear. My furniture was all second hand, my TV had barely cost me a hundred dollars and my laptop was close to death so, if they really wanted any of my possessions, they were more than welcome to them.

"What are you doing here, Diana?" I finally asked when the silence had become uncomfortable. My thoughts were in a better place, wondering what Andrew had planned with Darren, but Diana had obviously come here to say something and I wasn't going to ask her to leave, until she had told me her reason for being here.

"Tomorrow night, I am preparing a family meal, and I would really like it if you were there," Diana quickly announced her reason.

"I don't know if you noticed this, but I am not family, I am just the woman who doesn't know what the hell she's talking about because she's too immature to be an actual adult," I used the words which she had used against me the day after I effectively told her that she didn't know how to be a mother to her own children, which isn't what I said at all, but that's how she took it and she didn't like being told what to do by none other than a child.

"You may as well be family, Alyssa. It's because of you that Darren and Tracey shall be joining us, along with her daughter and nephew. My daughter and niece are also going to be there, so I would really like for you to join us," Diana managed to smile but, much like Andrew, she was terrible at hiding her emotions and I could immediately spot the sadness in her eyes, and from the way she hadn't stopped shaking since she walked into the room, she was also incredibly nervous about how this conversation was going to go.

"Perhaps it's for the best that I am not there, Diana. I think that, with me there, it will turn out a whole lot more awkward than it actually needs to be. It should just be—"

"Please, Alyssa. Before I was too naïve to realise that you were right, I did need to stop making excuses for Andrew and his behaviour, I considered you like family anyway. And, truth be told, I actually miss your company," Diana sighed in defeat and it was strange that she was using the guilt trip, the same technique she had used on Andrew when she wanted to know why he hadn't been in her life but, truthfully, I had actually missed her as well.

She had, in the short time I knew her, become a second mother to me and, in the time after I returned from Chicago, she was there for me and she never asked any questions about it either. I loved Diana as though she was my mother and it does seem stupid to let that slip away over some argument which happened months ago now.

"Well, I—"

"Alyssa? What the hell have I told you ab—" he stopped though when he spotted his mother and he seemed as shocked to see her here as I done when I opened the door and she was on the other side of it. "Oh. I didn't realise my mother was going to be here. I assumed you two still weren't on talking terms."

"Sorry, I didn't realise that I was interrupting something here but, given how beautiful you look, I should have guessed you had a date with someone," Diana's eyes moved between her son and myself, a slight smile now gracing her lips as she realised what she had interrupted, "I shall be sure to call back in the morning."

"Oh. Don't rush off on my account," Andrew chuckled as his imposing figure appeared beside me, and i tried to remember the last time I had seen him as happy as he was now, but I genuinely couldn't remember a time when he had actually smiled and meant it since our last confrontation. It was an amazing feeling, though, knowing that I was the reason for the smile on his face and that I was the reason for his overbearing happiness, that I was the one who had put a smile on his face and I was the one who had managed to turn his world upside down, "is she inviting you to the dinner tomorrow night?"

"I thought that it was the right thing to do. She is, after all, the reason Darren and yourself are actually getting along with each other now and she is also the reason we can have this dinner in the first place," Diana smiled and, in a strange way, I was happy that my tough love technique had actually worked, not that I thought I did anything besides tell the truth and make both families realise the error of their ways. And, as for Darren and Andrew's relationship, the reason for their growing kindness towards each other was down to their mutual hatred for the man who had fathered the pair of them rather than me telling them how pathetic the both of them.

"I was actually going to ask you later, you know, if you wanted to join me. It would sort of have been an offer to join me on a second date," Andrew turned to look at me with a nervous grin.

"You know the whole family anyway and, since you're sleeping with my son now—" I choked on my own breath as the words so casually left her lips while Andrew seemed to find her comment amusing and, with his hand now against my lower back, he chuckled with an amused smile, "—you are practically part of the family now too. And, I promise you now, that you shall love Andrea the moment you meet her, she's much like yourself and I think you will love that about her."

I had never seen someone as excited as Diana was at the prospect of being able to introduce my to the rest of her family, not even Dean had as enthusiastic as Diana was being when he wanted to introduce me to his family, he didn't even want me to meet his mother and I knew why when we walked into the woman's prison in which she had spent the previous five years for a murder she still insists she didn't commit—kind of ironic, given that Dean was ashamed of his mother for being in prison, and now he's rotting in the one place which he claimed to hate so much.

The Collins had already accepted me and they already loved me, they had even grown to love my outspoken nature and ability to tell it exactly how it was, so I knew that I didn't have to be nervous about impressing anyone because I knew that they appreciated me for who I was and I could simply continue to be myself without the need for pretences. I had impressed the family and I didn't even need to be romantically involved with any of them for that to have happened, I just made them like me and that was one of the greatest feelings in the world.

"I shall give you an answer before the end of the night," I smiled and wrapped my arm around Andrew's waist, still not entirely over the fact Andrew and I were practically the same height, as I allowed my head to fall against his shoulder while his hand absentmindedly moved up and down my back in a surprisingly calm manner.

"I hope to see you there, Alyssa," Diana turned and walked out of the room, only stopping so that she could call over her shoulder, "I always had a feeling that the two of you would end up together in the end."

And then she walked out of my apartment, closing the door loudly behind her, blocking out the sounds of her chuckle. When I turned to look at Andrew again, it was impossible to miss the smile which was now covering his face and, for once, he didn't need to fake his happiness because I could see the genuine happiness in his eyes when he looked at me.

"I think that, if we don't go now, then we shall miss our reservations at the restaurant."

"You know how much Darren loves me. I am sure he shall still allow us to eat, even if we do turn up a little late," I laughed and, from the look which he gave me, he assumed that I was joking around but that wasn't the case, Darren had only just figured out that he had loved me during the time we were together and now he's having a hard time seeing me as anything other than his friend, and I am sure tonight will not make it any easier for him to accept that there is never going to be an us again.

"You look absolutely stunning tonight, especially in that dress," Andrew whispered when we walked out of my apartment and, as Andrew would, he made sure that I had locked the door behind me before he allowed me to head down the stairs behind him. I used the silence which had now fallen as an opportunity to check Andrew out from behind and to say that I was impressed would be understatement of the year.

His hair had been properly styled, gelled so that it was out of his eyes for the evening, and his white shirt hugged every single muscle on his arms perfectly. And it looked even better, given that he had the top three buttons of the shirt undone, and I had just about been able to make out the defined outlines of his chest. He was wearing a pair of dark jeans which were hanging dangerously low on his hips, and I don't think I had seen him looking more attractive that he did right now.

"Are you checking me out, Miss Lopez?" Andrew teased and I didn't miss the smirk which he was now wearing, and I couldn't hide the heat which was now covering my cheeks. I had thought I had been checking him discretely and that he wouldn't notice, but apparently I was wrong and I couldn't be more embarrassed that he had caught me looking.

"Ha. You wish I was, Mr Collins," I replied confidently. I was in awe when we stepped outside and discovered that Andrew hadn't driven here in the usual SUV which I had become accustomed to seeing over the months, but instead, there was a rather impressive sports car and it had the look of something which had been built for speed but with a touch of class about the whole thing. I was one to be interested in cars, to me a car was a car, but this was the exception to that rule. "H—How?"

"Owner of Collins Inc. Duh," Andrew mocked as though it was the most obvious thing in the world. I knew that he had money, he had to have money because he was a Collins and he was also the CEO of his father's business, but I never really knew just how much money he had until I found myself looking at his car. "It's a Porsche 918 Spyder. If you were wondering, that is."

"It's, I, just, what, fucking hell," I was speechless, all because of a damn car, and I would like to think that's what Andrew found most amusing about this situation rather than my awe-struck attention on the vehicle.

I suddenly felt like a kid at Christmas who just opened the one thing she had asked for and she was so happy to have actually gotten it. But, in my defence, this was an entirely new experience for me and I didn't know how I was supposed to act. I may have owned an Audi R8, but that wasn't even entirely mine, not when the company had paid for half it when I first started because they wanted to maintain the high standard of their appearance, and so they refused to let me run to and from work in the piece of crap which I had previously called a car—but the Porsche in front of me, my Audi was nothing by comparison, given how expensive and out of my budget range it actually was.

"I have never before seen a woman so taken with my choice in car," his tone laced with amusement.

"Sorry," I muttered when I quickly realised just how ridiculous I must have looked. I had gotten overexcited about a car, simply because I had never owned anything something that expensive before, let alone been allowed anywhere near something this expensive.

"No need to apologise, Alyssa. I actually find it rather endearing," he placed a quick kiss on the edge of my nose and then walked round to his side of the car, which I took as my hint to get into the vehicle as well, and I was even more taken with the plush leather interior than I had been with the polished exterior. But I wasn't going to act like a child again, rather appreciate the luxury of everything which Andrew was doing for me. "How about, to pass the time, we ask each other questions? I thought it would help us get to know each other just a little better."

"When was the last time you had sex?" I don't know where the question came from, or even why it was so quick to roll off my tongue, but I was simply curious about the last time that he had actually slept with a woman. I don't know why I wanted to know something as personal as that, especially when I knew that it would probably piss me off and set my jealousy levels at an all-time high.

"Three and a half months ago. Apparently screaming out another woman's name in bed is a massive turn off," Andrew chuckled and, from the glint in the corner of his eye, it is safe to assume that it was my name he had been calling out while he was with other woman in the bedroom. While it may have been awkward on his part, I thought that it was pretty damn hot, the way he was thinking of me as he fucked another woman. "Now, I am pretty sure you know my middle name, from the time my mother scolded me in front of you, but I haven't got a clue what your one is. So, Alyssa Lopez, what is your middle name?"

"Rose. My mother is an avid gardener and she named me after her favourite flower," I smiled as I remembered all the times I had spent at my mother's side, in her previous garden, when I was younger and how she hold told me about each flower which she had groomed to perfection—my mother could usually talk for England but, when she was in her garden, that was her true passion and I wasn't more happy than when I was given permission to help her out. "Celebrity crush?"

"Ellie Goulding. She is seriously fucking hot," Andrew didn't even need to think about his answer, but I did have to agree with him, Ellie Goulding was one hot bitch and I would happily turn lesbian for her, if she was willing to give that option a go as well, "what about you?"

"Chris Hemsworth. If he wasn't already married, then I would let him take me any day, any time and any place he saw fit," I smirked as an image of Chris Hemsworth's delectable body appeared in my mind, and I had to shut my mouth to prevent myself from actually drooling over a man I was never going to have before Andrew started asking questions about the dirty thoughts which were running through my head. "Best place you have ever had sex?"

"Sex on the beach in broad daylight is rather satisfying. Just ask your sister," he quickly realised what he had said as he threw his hand over his mouth and began apologising for what he had just said. I, personally, wasn't bothered by his admission and was in fits of laughter to the point that I couldn't actually breathe.

I didn't care that he had had sex on the beach with Rebecca, I didn't care that he had had sex with my sister full stop. It didn't creep me out and I wasn't fussed that he had mentioned her either, other people would probably have got mad and accused him of still having feelings for her, but I knew that wasn't the case and I understood just how much he hated her for everything she had put him through. He can't help the places he just happened to have sex with her.

"Sex in a car is pretty damn good as well, I shall have you know. Just ask your brother," I shrugged. For a moment he looked at me like he was wondering what he was supposed to say, but then he joined in with the laughter, seeing the amusing side rather than the awkward one.

"If it's all the same, Alyssa, I am not going to ask my brother what it feels like to fuck you in a car," Andrew replied when he had finally stopped laughing enough to actually get his words out. I caught his gaze in the rear view mirror and he turned to me briefly with a smile on his face before he turned his attention back to the road.

The rest of the drive passed by in a comfortable silence, with only the odd comment being passed between the two of us, but nothing of any interest was shared. It was just a simple comment about the sky and how beautiful it looked with the sun setting or how stunning the buildings in the skyline were or just about the magnificent weather which we had been having recently. Typical small talk to the point that, when we reached the restaurant, I didn't even realise until Andrew had come round and opened the door for me.

"Scratch it, and I won't hesitate to make you bleed," Andrew threw the keys at the male valet before he led me into the restaurant and it was just as busy as it had been on the day Darren brought me here, only this time I really didn't give a fuck about my image and that I was underdressed, not when I was happy with what I was wearing and, as Darren had informed me, it was everyone else's choice to wear the evening gowns since there was no official dress code.

Andrew wrapped his arm around my waist while my resting against his back with my hand settled in his back pocket. I wasn't going to lie to myself, looking at his ass was amazing, but to feel it beneath my hand was all the more spectacular. He had one hell of an ass on him and I hoped he realised that, especially when he was showing it off with the jeans he was wearing.

"I am sorry, but—"

"Tell Darren that Andrew Collins is here," Andrew stopped the guy, who looked like he was no older than twenty years old himself, using his authoritative tone which sent shivers down my own spine, so I don't want to imagine how it made him feel. It was something which I didn't appreciate him doing, speaking to other people as though they were under his control, especially since there people weren't even his employees to boss around and we also weren't in his office.

"I apologise, Mr Collins, but Mr Brent is—"

"Mr Brent could be dying for all I care, but I still want to see him, so—" Andrew paused as he looked over the nametag which the blond haired teen was wearing before continuing with his point, "—Nathan, hurry along, and tell Darren that Andrew is here to see him."

"He told me that he was—" Nathan started to speak again, but I wasn't an idiot and so I could tell that Andrew was growing impatient, and that was just about to explode, so I kindly took the liberty of taking charge in order to prevent that from happening. I didn't want my date to have his ass kicked by Darren because he couldn't keep his damn mouth shut.

"What my date here is trying, but failing terribly, to say is that we need to speak with Darren because he is the one who arranged our reservation for the evening. So, if you could, please just go and tell Andrew is here to see him. He is expecting us and so you won't be at risk of losing your job," I smiled at Nathan. I don't know when he moved, or even he did it without me even realising, but when I turned around, Andrew was now stood behind me with both his arms wrapped around my waist while he glared at the kid who was only doing is job, "and, if that fails, then tell him that his extremely attractive ex-girlfriend is here to pay him a long overdue visit."

Nathan said nothing, or did anything other than nod, when he disappeared off towards the back of the restaurant where Darren's office was located. I knew, from the few things which Darren had shared with me during our relationship with each other, that he preferred to be away from the bustle of the restaurant because it allowed him time for himself, and it also meant that he had the time to think about both his life and what he wanted from the business.

"if I didn't know better which, of course, I don't know anything, but I would say you were just flirting with the guy who is only here to seat the people," Andrew's voice sent chills down my spine, the kind of chills which caused a throb between my legs, and it was a throb which I am more than certain he would have no problems sorting out for me later this evening.

"No. That was me, stopping you, from having your ass kicked, by your younger brother," I turned around deliberately so that he could see the smirk on my face with my hands coming to rest upon his shoulders so that I was looking him in the eye. Those blue eyes which told me so much more than words ever could right now and, at this moment, all I was seeing a lust filled gaze and I was going to have to make sure he controlled himself given that we were in public, "I could totally kiss you right now."

I could feel his lips brush against my own, barely touching them as he deliberately teased me with what I could have, his warm breath fanning against me as his eyes connected with my own. "Honestly, babe, you don't need to save me. We both know it would be the other way round, and I would be the one kicking his ass."

"Cut the PDA and follow me," Darren's monotonous tone reminded the both of us where we actually were, though I wish that he had waited a couple more seconds before he introduced himself, because that almost-but not quite-kiss was going to play on my mind for the duration of the evening until I knew what it was like to have Andrew's lips against my own.

Andrew took hold of my hand, interlocking our fingers, as he pulled me through the crowds of people in an attempt to keep up with the quick pace of Darren. I didn't have a clue where the hell we were going until we reached a door which, when Darren opened it, revealed a small garden I didn't even know was here until this moment. It was hidden from view of the back of the restaurant itself, ivy hanging delicately to the walls and rose plants growing against the fence with an assortment of colourful flowers in each of the hanging baskets.

There was an individual table, which was lit by the light from three candles, with a white table cloth over the table and a flower in the middle of it for decoration. There was even the faint sound of classical music coming from somewhere in the background and a small heater facing the table.

"This is Tanya and she is going to be your personal waitress for the evening. Anything you want, just inform her, and she shall try to obtain it for you," Darren said as a short blue-haired, brown eyed beauty appeared beside Darren. She was slightly on the skinny side with a smile plastered on her face for the sake of professionalism, but you didn't have to be a genius to figure out that she didn't want to actually be here, "I do hope the both of you enjoy your evening. And, if you do need anything which Tanya can't obtain for you, then you know where you shall find me."

Darren walked back towards the restaurant but, before he could take more than a couple of steps, I had manoeuvred myself out of Andrew's grip and managed to pull Darren into a hug without too much protest from himself.

"Please don't hate me," I whispered. I may not have wanted to be with him romantically, but that didn't mean that I wanted to lose his friendship because he thought that I was stabbing him in the back by turning up to his restaurant on the arm of his brother, especially when Darren still thought that there was hope for us to actually get back together again.

"I could never hate you, even I wanted to, I would never be able to do so. So, please, for me, just enjoy your evening and don't worry about me," Darren muttered back, but I could hear the pain in his voice as his words broke slightly, and I didn't miss the hint of sadness either. I had never wanted to hurt him, and I had never wanted to be the reason for his sadness either, but I had told him that there was no chance of us ever being anything other than friends after what he did to me.

He was clinging to hope which was never there for him to hold onto and now he's only hurting himself because he refuses to let go of what he can't have. He was an idiot for not listening to me when he had the chance to actually move on from me but, as I had told Andrew when he confirmed this is where we were going to be spending the evening, it was always going to be a bad idea coming here at the same time Darren was here as well.

"I'll see you tomorrow. Hopefully," I pulled away and offered him a smile, something which he weakly returned, and then disappeared inside once again. I knew that he would be alright, eventually, and that he would find someone who could make him happier than I ever did, but I also knew that it was going to take some time for him to accept that there wasn't going to be an us ever again. I would be his friend, as I had always told him I would be, but that's as far as it would go because I could never go back there with him again.

I finally noticed that Andrew was stood in front of me, while I had been trapped in my thoughts of how Darren really was, and I also noticed that he had pulled a chair out from under the table for me. I gratefully took a seat and I even allowed him to push my chair back under as well.

"You did all of this? For me?"

"You seem amazed that I could actually pull something like this off," Andrew said with his infamous smirk which did many unexplainable to my treacherous body. I already knew that this was going to be a long night, especially if my body continues to react to every little thing which Andrew either says or does, "are you?"

"It's not that I am amazed you could do this, though I am somewhat impressed. I just never thought that you would go to this much trouble for me," I smiled shyly because no one had ever done this for me before. They had taken me on dates, but that had only ever been a movie and dinner, no one had ever done something this thoughtful before today. No one had made the effort to make the night both something memorable and special.

"Damn that smile. I wish you understood the effect you have on me, Aly."

"Probably exactly the same as the one which you have on me," I smiled and put my hand on top of his, giving it a gentle squeeze as I did so.

As thoughts of what his tongue could do to me ran through my mind, I could feel my desire for the man in front of me quickly rising, with the heat between my legs now close to unbearable. I wanted for Andrew to take me right now, but I managed to keep that wish to myself, knowing that this wasn't the appropriate place for me to deal with the lust which I was harbouring for none other than Andrew bloody Collins.

I still couldn't figure out whether I was totally fucking insane or whether I liked that he was the only man in a while to make me go truly weak at the knees. I am going for the former rather than the latter though.

He is, before anything else, my boss and relationships with the boss, which surpass those in the workplace, always end up going south. Secondly, it terrified me just how quickly I had fallen for the man himself. And, thirdly, he is the man who treated me like shit and said so many disgusting things to me which I am never going to be able to forget, but he still made me feel things which I never wanted to feel again—that's how I knew that I was totally fucking insane.

"Mr Collins. Miss Lopez. Are you ready to order?" Tanya's sickeningly sweet voice was the thing which distracted me and gave me a moment to think, to actually compose my thoughts, and think of something other than the idea of Andrew eating me out on this dinner table.

I quickly glanced over the menu and there was something which caught my eye in the midst of all the sophisticate looking dishes, and I actually found myself laughing, and Andrew looked at me with an amused look as he silently asked what was so hilarious. "I think I shall have the macaroni cheese, chips and peppers."

"That's an excellent choice, Miss Lopez. It is turning out to be one of our bestselling dishes," Tanya smiled as she wrote down my order and turned to look at Andrew, "and for you, Mr Collins? What can I get?"

"I shall have the steak, well done, and be sure to hold off on the peppercorn sauce. That stuff is disgusting and simply ruins the exquisite flavour of the meat," Andrew replied curtly and I looked at him across the table with a raised eyebrow, which he must have noticed, as well as the look of disapproval on my face, given that he reluctantly added a please to the end of his order.

"And your drinks?" Tanya smiled. The girl was good, she may not have been thrilled with her job this evening and she may have had some weird thing against me, but she was good. Not once did she stare at Andrew, or even flutter her eyelashes in the small hope that he would take her home this evening, and she didn't even bother with the lame attempts at flirting either.

Either Darren had warned her off, which I highly doubt given the feelings which he still has for me, or she genuinely wasn't interested, which seemed the more likely option because of how little attention she actually paid to Andrew. I didn't give a damn which of them it was, I was simply happy that her eyes only looked at Andrew when it was necessary to so, and that she didn't look for longer than required either.

"He will have Whiskey on the rocks, plenty of ice though, and I shall have—" I paused as I looked over the wine menu, not knowing what any of them really tasted like, because I wasn't an avid wine drinker but I did enjoy a glass or two with dinner at times, "—which wine would you recommend?"

"Personally? The Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. It is one of my favourites," Tanya replied happily.

"Then I shall trust your suggestion and have a glass of that, please," I grinned, though not because of her wine preference, but because Andrew's confused expression had now turned to one of surprise as he realised what I was doing. I had removed my foot from my heel and was slowly moving it along the inside of his thigh, my attention never once leaving Tanya as she wrote down what it was we had ordered.

"You won't regret it, I assure you, Miss Lopez," Tanya beamed. I could hear Andrew's breathe hitch with each sharp intake, and I even caught sight of his hands which were gripping painfully to the edge of the table as I moved closer to his crotch. I was deliberately stalling Tanya now, and he knew it, but there was nothing which he could say because he was incapable of saying anything which would even make sense right now—I knew now that I could do the same things to him which he did to me, and it was one hell of an amazing feeling.

"Alyssa—" Alyssa growled lowly as he fought against the pleasure which I was providing him with.

"Well, if there is anything else—"

"Get the fuck out of here and fetch my dinner?" Andrew hissed while attempting to keep his eyes open. I loved that I had this sort of power over one man, but that's only because he was usually the one in control and it was wonderful for the roles to be reversed for a change.

"I do apologise on behalf of Mr Collins here, manners have never been his strong point, and neither has that terrible temper of his. You were saying?" I chuckled as my foot found his erection and I moved teasingly against it for my own amusement and pleasure.

"I was just saying that, if there is anything you require, please don't hesitate to ask me," Tanya smiled once again and, with a slight nod of my head, she walked away and headed back into the restaurant to deliver our order to the appropriate people.

I couldn't help the smirk which now covered my face as I looked across the table to see Andrew's head thrown back in pleasure as he released a guttural moan from the back of his throat and, once I was sure I had teased him to the point it was painful, I removed my foot from his erection and slipped my heel back on, deciding that I was going to sit here and feign innocence rather than continue to smirk knowingly at him when he opened his eyes.

"I think I understand perfectly the effect which I have on you, Mr Collins."
