I Came, I Saw, I Sponsored - 1
—
"I had a father, and I had a mother. I believe I had a happy childhood."
"However, ever since a certain day, everything had changed."
——
"Hoshino, did something happen?" An amber eyed male holding a pile of books asked the 5th person heading in the opposite direction he was down the hall.
"No, not really." Hoshino replied passing Haru at a regular pace before changing it into a slight run to catch up with the other 4 men that passed him.
——
"The days after that were all hollow, and everyone and everything were all so boring."
——
"Hey everyone." Haru said closing the door behind him carefully because of the stack of large books.
As he passed Kamei, a co-worker in his department, multiple- ahem.. moans were heard at a rather loud volume from Kamei's computer. In the background you could hear Haru put down the pile of books on his desk without much of a reaction. "Ah! Whoops. Sheesh. This website with their ads." Kamei said rather bluntly for obvious reasons, after immediately muting his computer.(Lennyface intensifies.)
"The guys in First Devision are in a flurry. Heard anything?" Haru asked logging into his computer.
"I don't know anything in particular."
The ringing of an office phone interrupted them as Haru, the one next to the phone, picked it up. "Hello, Modern Crimes Force." He said into the phone to the person on the other line.
——
"It was in Japan."
——
"Yes. Understood." Haru said before ending the call. "Chief, the Security Department says they're short on manpower, so they'd like a couple of us as backup for the Classic Car Festival in Ginza."
"Okay, I'm trusting you with it." Yukihiro, the one Haru referee to as chief said.
"I'll go and then one more person..." Haru looked around the room.
Yumoto slammed his hand on his desk with a frown. "Always so sudden talking as they please... we ain't that bored." He said through grit teeth, the paper on his desk saying 'horse racing paper 'nine'' contradicting his statement.
"Kamei." Haru said now looking at him.
"Oh no, I just found a website I can overlook and-"
"I heard that Motoyama from security has been deployed as well." Haru said cutting him off.
It took a moment but Kamei suddenly turned. "Sacchan is? Let's go, Kato!" He said getting up now very much enthused about working as Haru let out a sigh.
——
A large plane, likely a private one, had started its decent and sad felt landed on the ground as a red carpet was laid out before the stairs connected to the exit with a black car at the end of it.
——
"Well, we'll be back around 1700." Haru said leaving the room with Kamei already somewhat far ahead.
——
"My name is..."
"...Daisuke Kambe."
———
Now playing the opening. All rights to the creators and those who have rights over the anime, I'm just a lonely shipper trying to get ahead of the crowd here. No longer playing the opening.
———
"I heard the First Investigation Division guys drink at a pretty nice place in this area." Kamei said looking out the window of the car. "Oh, that reminds me, you used to be in First Devision-"
Haru slightly slammed the breaks as he stopped at the red light in front of the car, cutting Kamei off for the second time that day as Kamei's head smacked the dashboard. "Sorry."
"What's that? Looks amazing." Kamei commented staring at a black car in the distance.
"It's not a car that someone with a respectable job would ride." Haru said.
——
"This place would be fine, wouldn't it?" A girl with pink hair said looking into a jewelry store with a bored look.
"No, then that place we saw earlier was better than this one." A blonde guy replied.
"You think so? This place looks pretty good though." The girl replied.
——
"Quite the scene we've got here."
"Apparently the prince of Abura Emirates will be participating. I heard he's a speed demon, scooping up cars left and right with his oil money."
"Anyway, aren't there too many?"
"Where is Motoyama?"
"Man, we're getting worked to the bone with cheap pay, and they get to ride cars like this."
"Money isn't everything. We're doing this for justice."
"You're so stubborn. Isn't that the reason why they booted you from First Devision?"
"What was that?" Haru muttered turning to look at Kamei.
"Huh?" He asked pointing out two men in suits running down the sidewalk across the street, one being Hoshino. "Those were First Devision guys."
——
"What about here?" The pink haired girl asked as the two looked into a building called 'space jewelry.'
"That guy. I'm sure that guy knows some judo. Look at those potsticker ears."
"But we have this, too." The girl replied gripping her small pink handbag.
"Don't underestimate judo! Those chokeholds are nothing to laugh at! They'd take you down in and instant!"
"Are you sure you're serious about this?" The girl asked turning to her partner in crime with a doubtful look.
"I- O-Of course I am!"
——
"This isn't good. I have no idea."
"It's 35 more minutes until 12 o'clock." Hoshino said.
"Hoshino! You got a case?" Haru asked as he and Kamei ran towards them.
"It has nothing to do with you." Hoshino replied.
"What do you mean?"
"We're sating this is a case for First Devision and you're not authorized personnel." The man next to Hoshino replied. "Go look for some lost kids." He said taking note of the armband on Haru's sleeve.
The earpiece Hoshino was wearing let out a beep as Haru walked over and took it from him to hear from the other line.
"W-Wait, Senpai!" Hoshino said in protest but was cut off by the man on the other line. "A man suspected of being the bomber targeting the prince has been located. Target is fleeing, currently in Ginza District 1, heading towards Tokyo Station. —I repeat, A man suspected of being the bomber targeting the prince has been located.."
"What the hell is going on?" Haru asked as Hoshino pulled away the earpiece from him.
"I said, this has nothing to do with you anymore!"
"Suspect under custody! I repeat, suspect under custody!"
——
"What about here? The security guard looks like an old man."
"No way. Veteran guards are the worst. If he can do the job as a security guard, that means he has a lot of experience. If we can find somewhere with a frail-looking girl as the guard..."
"I've had enough. I'm going home." The girl said walking away from the jewelry store.
"Wait, Yoko!" The guy with her yelled grabbing her arm to try and stop her from walking away.
"Come on, let go of me!"
"Are you going to abandon me?"
"Hah? In the first place you're the one who used up all the syndicate's money! And you spent that money on other women!"
"I'm begging you, Yoko. They're going to sink me down." He said on the brink of tears. "If you abandon me now..."
"That place looks good! Looks like they got money and no security guards in sight!" Yoko said with a smile as she stared at a shop across the street.
——
"If there was an advance warning of a crime, why didn't you make them cancel the event?" Haru asked angrily.
"Of course we suggested they cancel. But there was interference from the Katnei. They insisted the prince, who will be the next king, come to Japan at this time."
"That's a completely different matter. Human lives are at stake!"
"You haven't changed a bit. You don't need to brandish such naive justice now that they've kicked you out of First Devision. As long as the police is a public office, we have to be on good terms with the government."
——
"Are you sure? If you wish so, I can get you in First or Second Devision."
"No, I would like the Devision that I requested." Daisuke replied.
"I see." The general muttered taking a package of cigarettes out of his pocket holding it out to Daisuke silently offering him one.
"No, I'm fine." Daisuke muttered taking out his own before lighting it. Just after he let out a puff of smoke, the phone at the generals desk rang.
"It's me. Oh really? You arrested him! And what about the bomb?"
——
"Hands up!" Yuko yelled holding up a gun, now wearing a mask resembling a cat face. "Hurry up and raise 'em! Put all the money and jewelry you've got in here!" She yelled walking to the employe before putting a bag down on the glass counter.
"Yoko, we don't really need the jewelry."
"Might as well while we're at it. Hurry up."
"We have no jewelry." The woman at the front mumbled loud enough for the two to hear.
"You mocking me, you little prick? There's a ton of.." Yoko stopped as she looked at the class cases filled with chocolate. "They're chocolates."
The guy with her walked to the front and picked up a free sample before eating it. "These aren't sweet." He said.
"Those are made of 75% cacao, and what we're famous for."
"Delicious."
——
"The explosives seem to still be in the car that the suspect had been using. The car is a white van, with Fukunishi Cleaning on the sides. I repeat, the explosives seem to still be in the car that the suspect had been using. The car is a white van, with Fukunishi Cleaning on the sides." Rang out the voice of the agent on the other end of the line.
Just after the man finished, Haru turned around to look at a white van across the street he saw earlier. "That's it!"
——
As the group approached the car, two people ran out of the chocolate store next to the van and crashed into a woman.
"Sacchan!" Kamei yelles running up to her. "Are you all right?"
"Yes." The woman 'Sacchan' said.
"I'm glad." He replies turning around to the girl that crashed into her. "Hey! What the hell are you-" "Shut up!" The pink haired woman yelled shooting the gun she had in hand at Kamei, hitting him near his right shoulder.
"Hurry let's go! Uh let's see... This one has its key in it!" The duo got into the car and drove away before anyone could do anything as Hoshino and his partner got into the car they had been using and chased after them.
"Kamei!"
"Sacchan. I always thought I'd you as..." Kamei said before his head limply fell to the side.
"Kamei.."
