'you know you don't have to do this alone, right?"
'i know.

"You know her?" I asked. Now this was getting interesting. First the Mandalorian armor and now my mother.

"She was a .... friend," He replied as he stared at the picture. How in the force did this old guy know my mom?

"Who are you? If you knew my mother then you have to tell me about her," I pleaded. If I am stuck here for a while, then I will get some information about something.

He gave me a quizzed look. Imagine if someone just saw an ewok with a arm on its head, that's how the old man looked at me.
Weird how this isn't the first time someone has given me that face.

"Father!"

I turned my head to see a boy my age walking into the stone cave. I was right, fit for two people. "Who is she?" The boy asked his father. He might as well asked to my face because I wasn't even six feet away from them. I rolled my eyes in the foolishness of the boy. That's when I noticed what he had in his hand, an Order blaster. I backed away slowly and hoped they didn't notice. They didn't.

"Rowan go fetch us some fish to eat, we have a guest." The boy nodded and obeyed his father's command. Then the man put his focus on me.

"Myira is your mother?" He asked. So he really did know about my mother.

All I knew was that she was amazing at her job as a bounty hunter for the New Republic. Every time I asked what happened to my mother no one would answer. Hopefully this man could.

"Yes, I am."

"Why are you here-"

"My name is..... Wiccan!" I said too quickly for my own good. I couldn't tell this stranger my real name, he would know who I am. His son had a blaster that belonged to the Order, they couldn't be trusted for much. He nodded believing my reply. I repeated my question again about my mother. The man grabbed the parts of my blaster and asked to fix it for me. I said yes.

"She was strong with the force and helped me take care of a child, she even threw her own life to save others," He said not quite done. He seemed to be reminiscing of the past. I felt a wave of grief hit me, but I wasn't the one feeling it. I pushed the feeling away and waited for the man to continue. My mother had the force? Now I'm so confused about those weird myths Sorin believes in.

Strange how I stumbled upon a man who could be my answer to what I wanted. Maybe Sorin's weird myths are real.

"Even after all of the danger surrounding her, she still never left me behind until the very end."

Wait, what? What does that mean?

"The end? You saw my mother die?" The old man nodded slowly. "She saved me from another hunter." He replied. I didn't know what to do or say. Being speechless wasn't part of my job, but this isn't a job. My mother saved this man and what does he do?

Leave.

"So you left me for dead?" I thought out loud. I kept quiet for a while as it sunk in.

I couldn't believe it. Being told that you were left for dead twice in the same day shows how bad your life is.
Today wasn't my day.

A crazy man with a red stick is trying to get me and Hald betrayed me then an old man here tells me my mother died saving him and he did nothing.

What a loser.

My anger swelled up and was ready to explode. I held my hands on my lap forcefully. I wasn't about to choke the man who let me stay for a while. I diverted my stare away from the man and focused my attention on the lovely damp ceiling.

"You were taken care of weren't you? Don't you remember Helen?" He was clearly confused. "Who's, Helen?" I said between shaky breaths. I have never met Helen. Living and working at a hotel until I was seven wasn't my idea of waiting to be rescued. I wanted to shout in a fit of anger.

I didn't want to alert the boy with the blaster. That would be stupid.

"What, Helen wasn't there!" He yelled, it seemed like he was also angry. He muttered curses under his breath. The boy raced into the cave and looked at us. He went to his father and asked if he was okay. "I'm fine, just a bit disappointed." I kept my eyes on them, seeming like the man had burst of anger. He dropped the fixed blaster. I quickly snatched it up.

"Wait, father is she - " The boy's face changed into a kind of face where you know someone. Did he know me? Maybe I have seen him in town before?
The old man clasped his hand over the boy's mouth. I gave a confused reaction.

"Tell me what you did if Helen never came for you?"

I explained most of my childhood, leaving out the fact I left the planet at eight to work for the Federation. No one needed to know too much about me and my dingy life. The old man shook his head, his hand still over the boy's mouth.
The man stood up and signaled his son to follow him outside. He asked me to stay here for a while. Not wanting to look like I was suspicious I nodded.

The both were outside, it was clear to me that they didn't want me to be in their conversation. How rude, I was their guest! Okay, even with the sarcastic jokes.

Wait, am I forgetting something?

Oh! The sky! I had to wait for the two guys to finish their talk so I didn't look desperate to look at the sky. There were no windows cut out of stone -pretty disappointing- but all you can see of the outside was the tiny gap on the ceiling of the cave. I continued to survey the small house. There wasn't much in here. I put the blaster on the table, there was no reason to use it now while they were outside.

I got up the chair and went to the armor. I touched it like it was glass. The beskar was still holding up even if it looked like it hadn't been used in years. I have seen more than enough Mandalorians in my life than most people have. Most of them went into hiding after the fall of the Empire or at least the ones who were a part of the Creed. The Creed were a small faction of the Death Watch. I don't know much about them, but they are dangerous.

"That's Creed armor," I mumbled. I look for the helmet for the set. I didn't touch anything else, but instead looked with my eyes. I wouldn't want them to come back to see me flipping over everything to look for a kriffing helmet.

"What are you doing?"

Oh shit. I slowly turn back and let out a light giggle. I see the boy and man brought in someone else. Not taking any chances and raced to the table and grabbed my blaster and pointed to the new person. The person also pulled out a blaster.

"Calm down! She's our guest Rake."

The man walked very slowly towards me. I still had my blaster targeted on the Rake guy. The guy had Stormtrooper armor on. Were they going to turn me in?
"She doesn't seem the friendly kind," Rake said and winked. He lowered his blaster and put it in his bag. His eyes still train on me. The creepy vibes were too much.

"He's a friend, he wears this to scare people for fun," The man defended the insane guy. I still felt like I needed to have my blaster on me if anything happened. If they trust him that doesn't involve me. I just needed to stay for a while. The man motioned Rake and me to the chairs. I rolled my eyes as Rake smirked at me. Damieon was the only person who could do that and not get a bloody nose.

The man introduced me to Rake and explained what I needed. Of course they didn't know I'm wanted. Rake offered to take me off the planet to wherever I needed to go. What a nice offer from the creepy guy.

"That is extremely nice of you, but I want to wait for my coworkers to get me." The man understood my reply.
"What do you do for a living?" Rake asked.

"Well, I'm a florist." Rake rolled his eyes at my answer.
Rake scoffed. "I can get you out of here for free and make sure you aren't spotted," He snapped. I flinched as he slammed the table.

I don't understand why he was pissed. Until I saw something. A First Order badge. He had it hidden under the flap of his bag. I noticed it when he reached for a holo.

Wait a second.

I took off and ran outside, leaving everyone inside confused.

There it was, a TIE fighter.

I snapped back to see Rake pull out his blaster and aimed at me. I should have known.

"They offered a lot of credits for you," He mentioned as he tried getting closer to me. I held my ground and gave an aura to back off. The two guys behind Rake looked at me, waiting for the first move. The man went back inside for a second. The boy looked angry at Rake for lying about the reason he wanted to help.

"You know the New Republic would love to have another Order spy in jail," I bragged. First Order spies are easy to piss off. Rake growled in anger.

He ran and tried to tackle me. I moved left and grabbed the end of his armor and yanked with as much strength as I could. He stumbled backwards and fell on his back. My blaster trained on his temple, I anchored myself on his chest and applied pressure. If he tried to get me off he would take a long time in doing so.

"Is there anyone else with you?" I yelled. He shook his head frantically. I asked him more questions about his job. "How did you know to look here?"

He smirked again. He seemed proud of himself. "I had a talk with Hald before you did and asked him to put a tracker only I can access so I could find you first." He shifted and tried to get away.

"You're an asshole, you know that?" I replied. He spat in my face and I smashed the end of my blaster in his face. He went out like a light and his body went limp. I got up and searched his body for anything I could use. I looked at the sky above and saw nothing.

 "Don't worry, I didn't kill the bastard."

The boy rushed to hug me. I pushed him off quickly and shot him a glare. What the hell was that? "I'm sorry," The boy mumbled. I grabbed the end of my shirt and wiped away the spit. I almost gagged when Rake spit on me.

The old man came outside. He had the Mandalorian armor on and held a blaster in his hand.
"Father! I thought you gave up the armor!" The boy exclaimed.

"It's about time that I did," He replied and looked at me. Even though he had his helmet on I knew what I had to do.
I nodded and headed to the TIE fighter. I guess I found a way to contact the Rebels.

"I guess this is our goodbye," The man said.

"Why are you wearing the armor?" I asked, the threat was gone. I was leaving the riverside.

"They're coming," The boy said and looked at the forest that stared behind the cave.

Okay, so the boy was creepy.

"Who's them?" I knew, I should be able to correctly guess who it was but I'm trying to be completely sure.

"The First Order, we'll hold them down until you can contact your Rebels."

I shook my head in defeat. I knew this would happen. They must have seen a picture of me before. "You knew who I was before I even entered the cave did you?" The man nodded and chuckled under the helmet.

"You can never hide yourself Asoan," The boy said.

"Why did you help me?"

The boy stood in front of me and said, "Sometimes you'll get help from people who you never knew but they knew you."

"What do you mean by that?" I asked.

I gave him a confused stare. What did he mean by that? He didn't answer my question.
"I think you should go now Asoan," The boy said. For the first time I noticed something about the boy. He looked a bit like the picture of my mother.

"Thank you for everything, it wasn't much but I appreciate it," I said.
I hugged the boy tightly and whispered that he looked like my mother. He froze in my embrace and laughed. "You should call me by my name Rowan and not call me 'the boy'," He called me out.

"How in the force did you know that?" I exclaimed and leaped backwards away from Rowan.

"I'm force sensitive, just like you Asoan," He answered with a serious tone. I shook my head in defiance.

"Nah, that stuff is a pile of shit."

Rowan shrugged and gave up. I walked to the man and put my hand out for him to shake it. He got the memo and shook my hand. Then he grabbed my wrist and hugged me. Why does everyone want to hug me today?

"Your mother would be proud of you," He whispered to me. I was pressed by his beskar armor. "I know," I replied. The seldom silence felt nice. I almost forgot that a crazy commander from the Order is chasing me. The man let go of me and let me go to the ship. With my past training, I should be able to fly this to the rendezvous point.

I jumped inside and fastened the seat belt and started the engine. I looked at Rowan and his father. For a second I wished I could live peacefully like they did, but I couldn't. I gave them a weak smile. I grabbed the picture I had of my mother and gave it to the man.

"You want it more than me, I can tell." The man grabbed it with his gloved hand and seemed to sniff a thank you. A Mandalorian crying? There is a first time for everything. He whispered a word.

Din.

I didn't know why he said that but I carried on.

I've had that picture forever, I need to stop dwelling on my mother and now that I know what happened to her it seemed wrong to not give him the picture.

"If you ever need help, I'm ready to help out." I offered. I got back inside the ship and took off.  I could have sworn I someone said something in my head.

'I love you'

As I was in the air I saw white through the small gaps in the trees. I hoped that Rowan and the man were safe.

They were there. Kylo Ren is here. And he was ready.

When I go to the rendezvous point.

I'll be ready.
