What I see
"And this Izuku when he got his first All Might action figure for his birthday," Inko explains while showing August pictures of a baby Izuku, inside a picture book.
"Aww, he's adorable." August states as he looks over at Izuku who has his face buried in his hands embarrassed.
If it wasn't obvious Inko and August hit it off pretty well. Inko quickly figured out that August honestly only has Izuku's best interests in mind.
"Well, I wouldn't mind you teaching Izuku a thing or two about self-defense, but I need to know what made you ask Izuku directly?" Inko asks. August as he leans back in his chair before answering
"Well, to put it simply I saw something in your son. A true untainted will to help people." August begins as he looks into Inko's eyes. "Being quirkless myself I know what's it's and trust me it's hard. So when I saw your son run at a villain that even the heroes weren't willing to fight, well it inspired me. Especially when I heard the heroes reprimanding him for rushing in while quirkless. At the same time, his friend received nothing but praises for basically being a hostage. I wanted to help him." August explains
"Well, I'm happy there are still people other than heroes still willing to lend a helping hand to others," Inko says with a smile
Hearing this reason interests Izuku. Just like him, did August have the aspiration to be a hero at one point?
"Well, I give you full permission to teach my son the art of self-defense," Inko says with a smile as she puts the photo album down on the table and looks at the man who had just become her son's teacher. Suddenly a beeping can be heard as Inko looks toward the kitchen. "Oh, dinner is ready. I made katsudon, it's Izuku's favorite."
(Timeskip the next day)
Izuku walks up to the building with the address August had given him. It's an apartment complex. In between the states of looking decent and run down. Izuku had to take the train in order to get here but it wasn't that big of a concern.
Walking inside Izuku notices the inside is a lot nicer than the outside. Not five hotel but definitely above average for an apartment complex.
Looking toward the front desk I see an older man reading newspaper.
He glances up at me before returning to his reading. "No rooms are open right now. So you best look elsewhere." The man says with a stern and bored tone.
"Come now Mr. Gero you really shouldn't turn away new people." Laughs August as he walks down the stairs.
Gero looks at August and sighs. "Friend of yours I'm assuming." Gero straightens his newspaper.
"Come on up Izuku I got something I wanna, show you," August says as he begins to walk up the steps and Izuku soon follows. The two walks the stairs up to the third floor before August pulls out a key and opens the door to room 12.
Walking in it's an average room nothing to really comment on. "You want anything to drink?" August ask as Izuku sits on the couch.
"N-no thank you, sir," Izuku says nervously
"Loss the sir, I've always hated formalities," August says as he sits on a chair in front of Izuku and looks at his student intently. "You want to be a hero correct?" August asks. Izuku nods. "Then I assume you know about the law soon to be passed?" August asks as Izuku gulps before nodding no. August sighs as he looks down at the ground a bit saddened by this fact. "Listen with the increase of quirkless people applying to heroes school the government is thinking about making it impossible for the quirkless to apply for hero schools, even if it's only for the general education." August Explains
It's at this point Izuku's world shatter. He knew that since he doesn't have a quirk it would have been twice as hard for him to be a hero, but he always believed that he'd be able to get into U.A and work his up, but now, in the coming month that would be impossible.
"There is another way. If you're up for it.'' August says as he reveals a remote he was hiding in his sleeve. "However this other way isn't a cake walk. It's dangerous and I can't promise your complete safety if you chose to go down it." August explains
Izuku gulps before a fire is lit in his eye. He wants to help, help people any way he can. So with a shaky yet determined voice, Izuku speaks. "What is it?" Izuku asks as August smirks hitting the top right button on his remote.
Suddenly the wall in front of Izuku splits open to reveal The Meta's suit. Izuku sits there stunned. The Meta, number one vigilante is sitting right in front of him and now seeing this suit he knows what August is proposing. "You want me to become a vigilante?" Izuku asks
"Well, it's up to you. Like I said it'll be dangerous, you'll have to deal with heroes, police, and villains all gunning for you. I can't blame you if you say no, the life of a vigilante isn't for everyone. If you say no I'll be good on my word and teach the basics of self-defense but if you say yes, I"ll teach you everything I know." August explains while setting the remote down on the table before us.
"B-but why me?" Izuku asks wanting an honest.
"I didn't lie when I told your mom the reason I want to train you is because I see myself in you." August answers. "A quirkless boy wanting to do what's right even though society says he can't. It reminds me of my younger years." August says as he looks at his ceiling. Looking down Izuku August could see the young boy's confused expression.
"I started vigilante work at the age of seven. No skills, weapons, or quirk. Lets just say I got my ass handed to me so many times, would have died if wasn't for Mr. Gero." August says while scratching the back of his head.
"You mean that guy behind the front desk?" Izuku asks
"Yup, he's one of the most dangerous people of the planet. He's also my teacher, taught me everything he knows." August laughs. "Enough about me though, what's your answer, just remember this line of work is way more dangerous than being a hero and while I can promise you'll be prepared I can't promise your safety." August explians.
Izuku could only sit there. He's being offered a chance to do whats he's always wanted to do, help people. However, this wasn't the way he envisioned it and like August said this would be way more dangerous than hero work. However if he can't people as a hero he'll help them in another way.
"I'll do it." Izuku says as August smirks at him
