Chapter Two

Percy's POV

I walked down the sandy path to our glorious house, weighed down by all of our bags. Mom and Paul both forgot about them when they saw the house, walking quickly inside and checking it out. I chuckled to myself as I used the water molecules in the air to search for any people near our new property. Satisfied that no one was around, I allowed the water molecules in the air to carry the bags, while I shouldered mine, so I could walk and see better. I instantly felt the connection to the ocean and felt at peace. This was where I belonged, and that would never change. "Percy! Come look at this!" I laughed at the joy in Mom's voice, but hurried my steps."Coming!" As I walked into the house, I immediately fell in love with the interior. It was warm and cozy, welcoming, just like our old apartment, but bigger. I walked past the kitchen and up the steps to where I believe my room would be situated, I could feel both Mom and Paul in the air. "What's up Mom?" I walked into my room and stopped dead. There, in the corner of my room, was a fish aquarium, but inside was a large mound of drachma, much more than I could ever earn, guarded by a miniature hippocampus. I knew there was no way my friends could have done this, so I rushed over to the tank where my mom and Paul were ogling at the mini creature and grabbed the note attached to a corner of the tank. Dear Son, you do not know how proud you have made me over these few years, but to award you for all of your achievements, that I know Zeus will never reward, I have made this little tank that will help you to IM your friends whenever you need to. The little hippocampus is yours to name, but he will guard your drachma should anyone try to steal one. Have fun here Percy, but don't forget about your old man, visit sometime? I know you can find your way to my palace, you're always welcome. Tell your mother I say hi. With Love, Poseidon. I felt my chest warm, and I didn't even try to conceal the warm smile stretching across my face. Thank you Dad. You do not know how much this means to me. A small sea breeze wrapped around me for a second, and I knew it was my father's way of saying 'No problem, Son'. I turned to Mom and Paul, chuckling softly at their amazed faces. "That's a hippocampus, it's part fish, part horse. A combination of my dad's two animal domains. Dad said I could name him, what do you think little guy?" The hippocampus stopped swimming in circles in front of Mom and Paul to stare at me. 'Whatever you wish, my Lord.' I groaned with a smile on my face. "This again? Come on, call me Percy." 'As you wish, my Lord.' I grumbled to myself, another Blackjack. "Hmm, how about... Noble? I've never been good at names." I smiled sheepishly at Paul's blank stare while Mom giggled to herself. 'Quite fitting, my Lord, thank you.' I chuckled at his formality. "It's no problem, Noble. You don't have to be as formal with me either." Noble started patrolling the waters instead of looking at me, making sure no one tried to take any drachma. 'Alright, my Lord.' I chuckled and turned to my parents. I had already placed my bags on my bed, but Mom and Paul's luggage was still sitting in the hall next to my door. "Can I go check out the beach Mom?" My mom nodded and smiled at my enthusiasm, I could also tell she was kinda happy to have the house to herself and Paul for a little while, probably to change everything around to fit her liking. I chuckled and grabbed my swim bag, I always had one ready in case I had a sudden inspiration to be in the water while other people were around. I walked down the beach and noticed that no one had come on the beach yet, but that could also have been because it was about six in the morning. I chuckled and dropped my bag, putting all of my clothes in my swim bag except for my cargo shorts. I walked into the surf and felt myself get encased in ocean water. I walked along the ocean floor, admiring the coral reefs. Oddly enough, I hadn't seen any fish around, but that all changed when I saw a crab that looked strangely like Sebastian. I followed him and then all of a sudden, I heard the unmistakable sound of Under the Sea. A large grin split my face as I rounded a coral and saw a whole cacophony of fish, exactly like the fish during the song in the cave. I think I have died and gone to heaven. I sat down on a random stone, my hair softly swinging in the current, and sang along. I knew I was going to love it here in Australia.
