~Rainbow Steve's POV~

The next morning, I was the first one up. I stayed laying on the ground, cuddled against Blue Steve, not having the energy to get up. After about 20 minutes or so, Blue Steve started waking up, and I smile. "Morning, sleepy head," I whisper to him, and he rubs his eyes.

"Morning, how'd you sleep?" he asks me, and I shrug.

"Pretty good, I just woke up early. Ready to get the artifact today?" I smile up at Blue Steve, and he groans softly.

"Yeah, I'm just tired," he mumbles, and I smile.

"Well, you can keep resting while we wait for everyone else to wake up," I suggest, and he nods. He goes to sleep again soon after, his arm wrapped around my waist.

I ended up drifting off again, feeling content while snuggled against Blue Steve.

After some time, I wake up, just to hear a scream. I'm pretty sure everybody else woke up from the ear piercing scream, seeing as everybody was standing up, seeming alerted.

Blue Steve, Sabre, Alex, Yellow Steve, Purple Steve, and Night Steve are all here, so who could be missing? That's when it hits me.

Orange Steve.

The scream came from the area we found out there's another artifact at, so we all rush in that direction.

"Blue Steve, do you think he's okay?" I ask him as we run, and he bites his lip.

"I honestly have no idea, Rainbow Steve..." he whispers, and I feel a tear form in the corner of my eye. Yeah, I just met the guy, but still. I figured we'd at least get everybody that started on the adventure with us back safely, without any harm done to them. Soon, we find a cave, one that has torches leading down towards the bottom.

"We shouldn't all go," the newest person, Alex, says. "If something happens to one of us, we need someone to be able to escape." I bite my lip, stepping forward. My actions surprise me, and it honestly feels like I'm not myself.

"I'll go."

Sabre and Blue Steve both look at me, shock and worry filling their faces; Sabre's for the fact that he's my best friend, and Blue Steve's for the fact he's my boyfriend. "I'm going too," Blue Steve says, grabbing my hand. I blush softly, smiling at him.

"As am I, I'm not losing my best friend again," Sabre says, and I look over at him. I smile faintly, then remembering the task at hand. Making sure Orange Steve is okay.

"Let's go," I say softly, leading them down to the bottom of the cave thing. They follow close behind me, and soon we find the bottom. A bunch of pillars of lava surround the walls, creating an eerie vibe around the entire area.

"Be careful, Rainbow Steve," Blue Steve says quickly, motioning to the lava. I already feel weaker from being in the same room as the lava, and Blue Steve just wraps his arm around me protectively.

"I know," I say softly, smiling weakly at him. "Let's just find Orange Steve and then leave this place. It makes me feel uncomfortable," I say, both of them nodding.

We dodge all the obstacles here, finding a room with a long pathway, leading to a pillar. The pillar clearly has something sitting on top of it, most likely an artifact, but there's also something sitting on the ground beside it.

"Rainbow Steve, look," Sabre elbows me gently, point into the area I was looking.

"It looks like an artifact..." Blue Steve whispers, and I run over to it. They both follow me, and when I get there, I find something I never thought I would see.

The green artifact, sitting on the pillar. Beside it though, sits an orange artifact. I gasp in surprise, quickly realizing exactly what it is. Well, was.

Orange Steve.
