Lisa's P.O.V.

Thomas his words echoed through my mind as I watched him show the letter Chancellor Paige had written for him. I listened to Dawn explaining how she was on our side all while my heart was beating like a war drum in my chest. It didn't take long for everyone to agree to set out on our own mission and leave the Right Arm behind.

And even though I didn't agree with the Right Arm's decision to blow this building to pieces, I couldn't help but feel like I was betraying them by leaving them behind like this. I had been their leader once and now I was leaving. What kind of leader did that?

There was not much time to question my choices however as we slipped out of the room and made for the double doors while Vince and the others yelled at us, calling us crazy and saying we'd get ourselves killed within minutes. I tried to ignore them, to drown out every word but that seemed impossible.

Suddenly a hand landed on my arm, holding me tightly. I turned on my heels, standing face to face with Carter. He had a frown on his face as he watched me.

'Lisa, don't do this,' he said slowly.

I pulled back my arm and took a step away from him. 'Don't tell me what to do.'

'You already left us once!' He yelled at me, his eyes begging for me to understand. Little did he know that I did understand and still believed this was the right choice.

'What's going on here?' Minho suddenly asked, walking up to us and standing next to me, his arm brushing mine.

Carter's gaze turned cold as his eyes fell on Minho. 'Your girlfriend is choosing love over her mission, again.'

Minho narrowed. 'Got a problem with that shuckface?'

'Guys, please,' I sighed standing in between them. 'We have no time for this, let's just go Minho.'

He nodded, taking my hand as he turned to leave but Carter wasn't planning to let me go this easily. 'What happened to you wanting to destroy Wicked? No matter the cost?'

Turning to face him I felt anger burn inside of me. 'I want Wicked gone just as badly as you do. I'm just not willing to kill innocent people to do so.'

'You said you would kill for the mission,' Carter said, desperation on the edge of his voice. And I was honestly confused as to what he was trying to accomplish.

'Yes, I would,' I said, speaking clearly, 'that hasn't changed, but not innocent people.' Exhaling slowly I took a step closer to him. 'You once told me you'd follow me anywhere. So believe me when I tell you Vince is wrong about this. We don't have to kill people to end this.'

His blue eyes were cold as ice. 'Your boyfriend teach you that?'

A small sigh escaped my lips. 'No, Thomas did.' Then I stepped away from him, taking a hold of Minho's hand again. 'Now are you coming or not?'

His eyes scanned me, reading me carefully before he gave a small shake of his head, making his final decision. 'You're wrong about this,' he said.

'I'd rather be wrong than a killer,' I said before turning around, sharing a glare with Minho and running away.

As our feet carried us down the hallway I noticed Minho his eyes on me and I looked back at him, smiling slightly. 'What?'

He gave a small shake of his head, looking forwards as he started to run a bit faster to catch up to the others.

'What?' I asked again, slightly out of breath from the fast pace we were running at.

'I'm just,' he looked away from me, 'proud of you,' he mumbled, almost as if he didn't want to say it.

A soft laugh escaped my lips before I could stop myself making him raise his eyebrows as if to question why that funny. I shook my head, pulling him forwards as we caught up to the others. My eyes fell on Dawn and I felt my smile disappear slowly from my lips as I watched her tense shoulders and the loaded bow in her hands.

I could feel Minho his eyes on me as my expression clearly had changed but I ignored him as I focused my eyes on the hallway before us. Something was wrong with Dawn, the spark she usually held in her eyes seemed to have died when I looked at her earlier. Something must've happened but there was no time to ask her about it, even though I wanted nothing more than to talk to her right now.

Taking a deep breath I focused on the hallways we ran through. We turned a corner, went down a flight of stairs, took a shortcurt through a storage room and went down another long hallway. Down another flight of stairs we went and one by one we stumbled into a dark room.

As I looked around slowly I started to recgonise our surroundings. It was the room where Gally had killed Chuck and where I almost killed Dawn...

Shaking my head I tried to let go of that thought my eyes landed on Gally, who was already looking at me, the same realisation as I just had was visible in his eyes. I tried to give him a reassuring smile but knew it must've looked forced.

'Why isn't anybody here?' Minho asked, making me break eyecontact with Gally and turn to him instead. 'If they're holding people in there, why no guards?'

'Who needs soldiers to keep them in when you have a Maze doing the job for you? It took us long enough to figure a way out,' Thomas replied.

'I don't know,' Minho said, shrugging. 'Something's fishy about it.'

'Well, sitting here isn't gonna help. Unless you've got something useful, let's get up there and start bringing them out,' Thomas told him, but there was a small smile on his lips.

'Useful?' Minho repeated. 'I got nothin'.'

'Then up we go.' Thomas walked up to a ladder on the side on the wall, next to the slide the Gladers had come down with the first time they escaped the Maze. He started climbing, followed by the others. I was the last one to follow, finding myself in an unfamilair room with a hole in the wall above us, a stepladder had been placed directly under it and if you watched closely you could see the walls of the maze through the hole.

'Home sweet home,' Minho muttered, the room was clearly familiar to him.

'I can't believe we're back here,' Teresa said, her voice sounding haunted.

'Crazy, huh?' Thomas said, turning to look at her.

'Crazy,' she replied.

I watched the two of them and even though I still wasn't Teresa's biggest fan, and probably never would be, I was okay with her being here. For now we had the same goal, saving people. We were here to make up from our involvement in this project by helping to end it now. And for now, I was okay with her being on our side.

'Don't you think we better get up there?' Dawn's voice echoed through the room.

'Yeah,' Thomas said, looking away from Teresa and walking towards the ladder. 'We better.'

I went after Minho, pulling myself through the hole and stepping back inside the Maze. My stomach turned as I stood to take it all in. Where the sky had once shone blue and bright, there was now only a dull gray ceiling. The massive ivy covered walls leading away from the Cliff still looked as immitating as the first time I had seen them. I thought coming here a second time would somehow be easier but as I stood here, taking in the tall, gray, cracked walls again, it felt as haunting as it had the first time.

Swallowing heavily I wrapped my arms around my myself, turning into a small circle as I watched the enormous walls. I had been so lost in thought that I jumped when Minho's voice cut through the silence.

'What are we waiting for slintheads?' He asked, but even his voice was shaking slightly.

'Yeah, right,' Thomas mumbled, 'let's go.'

Minho led the way, his shoulders squared as he ran, his whole body radiated with the pride he felt when for two long years he'd ruled these corridors. I ran right next to him, feeling slightly dizzy as we made our way through the corridors. Even though I had spend a few weeks in the Glade I had never been inside the Maze before and when I ran here now, it was hard to believe he and all the other Runners had spend all their days here.

Craning my neck I looked up at the walls that rose towards the gray ceiling. It felt so strange to be back here after everything we'd been through since we left this place.

Finally we turned around a corner that lead us straight through the East Door into the Glade. My heart stopped at the sight before us. There were hundreds of people walking around in the Glade, there were even a few babies and small children among the crowd. It took a moment for the murmers to spread across the sea of Immunes but within seconds every one of them was looking at us.

'Did you know there were this many?' Minho asked, turning to Thomas.

Thomas, however, seemed unable to answer as his eyes scanned the place they had called home for so long.

'Hey, daydreamer,' Minho said, snapping his fingers in front of Thomas his face. 'I asked you a question.'

'Huh? Oh...There's so many, they make the place look smaller than it ever did when we we here,' Thomas replied softly.

Suddenly someone came bursting through the crowd, running towards us and my eyes widened when I spotted Frypan his curly hair. The cook was followed by Clint and I felt a smile appear on my lips upon seeing the Med-jack. The two boys were followed by Sonya and another few girls from Group B. I felt my heart ache upon seeing Sonya's face. With my newly restored memories I knew who she was and more importantly, who her brother had been. I could only imagine what Dawn would feel by seeing Newt's little sister.

Frypan reached us first and swatted Thomas on his arm. 'Can you believe they put me back in this place? They wouldn't even let me cook! Just sent us a bunch of packaged food in the Box three times a day. Kitchen doesn't even work, no electricity, nothing.'

Thomas laughed. 'You think you were a lousy cook for fifty guys? Try feeding this army.'

'Funny man, Thomas. You're a funny man. I'm glad to see you.' Then his eyes widened as his gaze fell on the former Builder. 'Gally? Gally's here? Gally's alive?'

'Nice to see you too,' the boy responded dryly.

Thomas patted Frypan on the back. 'Long story. He's a good guy now.'

Gally scoffed but didn't respond.

My attention was pulled away from the boy however when Clint walked up to me. 'Nice to see you, Lisa,' he said.

I felt myself smiling at my former Keeper as memories of our time patching up the Gladers flashed through my mind. 'It's good to see you too, Clint.'

Minho stepped up and took our attention. 'All right, happy time is over. How in the world are we going to do this, dude?'

'Shouldn't be too bad,' Thomas responded but I knew he was lying. Getting all these people out of the Maze, through the Wicked compound and through the Flat Trans was not going to be easy. Especially not with both Wicked and the Right Arm on our heels.

'Don't feed me that klunk,' Minho said, calling out his lie as well. 'Your eyes don't lie.'

Thomas smiled. 'Well, we've certainly got a lot of people to fight with us.'

'Have you looked at these poor saps?' Minho asked, gesturing around. 'Half of 'em are younger than us, the other half look like they haven't so much as arm wrestled before, much less had a fistfight.'

'Sometimes numbers are all that matters,' Thomas replied then he took a deep breath and looked around. 'Okay, let's split them into groups. There's gotta be four or five hundred people so groups of fifty. Then have one Glader or Group B person in charge of them. Teresa do you know how to get to this maintenance room?' He showed her the map and she nodded after examining it. Then he continued. 'I'll help move people along as you and Brenda lead the way. Everyone else will guide one of the groups. Except Minho, Jorge and Gally. I think you guys should cover the back.'

'Sounds good to me,' Minho said, shrugging.

'Whatever you say, muchacho,' Jorge added and Gally simply nodded.

I took a deep breath. 'Alright let's do this.'

As you may have noticed I've been rewriting Dreams. The plot wont change I just decided to add the bonfire scene and the part where they engrave their names in the wall. I will be going through the entire book to change things I don't like and check for grammer and I'll be doing to same to Minds so both books will be completed to my satisfaction before Hearts will end.

Going back and rereading my stories makes me sad honestly. I've been writing these fanfictions for almost four years and now there are only four chapters left before it'll be over. I still can't quite wrap my head around it.

So, if you want to go back and rereaded the edited chapters I won't stop you! I personally think it's looking a lot better now since my writing style has changed a lot over the years. But that of course is up to you!

Please let me know your opinions on this chapter and predictions for what's to come! Did Lisa make the right choice leaving the Right Arm and Carter behind to safe the Immunes or should she have stayed to try and change their minds? Let me know in the comments and please leave a vote!

Lots of love

xXx
