The Return of a Dreemur

"Your best freind?" I ask.

"Yeah," Flowey replies, "Chara Dreemur. That vision you had, it was Chara helping you remember the previous RESET."

"What is going on?" Alphys asks, "I want answers."

Grand Dad walks up to Alphys. "Hi," he greets, "name's Grand Dad. About all this, we were investigating something, and found all this. You should probably go before the police find out you've been working with DETERMINATION. Flowey, can you finish this experiment?"

"It's automated at this point," Flowey replies, "I just need to keep pumping in DETERMINATION. So, I can take it from-"

Flowey suddenly falls silent. He stops dead, literally. He turns back into a normal flower.

"Flowey?" I ask.

"Here," Flowey continues as if nothing happened.

"You're not using your DETERMINATION, are you?" Alphys asks.

"Well I can't get it anywhere else," Flowey replies, "why do you ask?"

"You need to stop," Alphys replies.

Chara's soul seems to glow in agreement.

"Why?" Flowey asks, "you guys look like you've seen a ghost."

"You're growing unstable," I explain, "you turned back into a normal flower for a second."

"Not funny," Flowey replies, "I've worked-"

Flowey turns back into a normal flower again.

Chara's soul seems to glow in distress.

Flowey goes back to normal, "to hard to lose this. I'm not stopping now."

"Flowey," I explain, "if you keep doing this, you'll die. You have to stop."

"What else can I do?" Flowey asks, "where else can I get DETERMINATION?"

Alphys turns away. She has a look of guilt on her face. "Follow me," she sighs. She leads us out of the lab and to the Undertale universe through The Gap.

We eventually reach her old lab in the now abandoned Hotland.

"What are we doing here?" I ask.

"Trust me," Alphys replies, "I've got something that can help us."

She leads us through the True Lab to a hidden room. The hidden room is filled with large vats of DETERMINATION from wall to wall.

"What the hell is going on here?" I demand.

"Back when we were still in The Underground," Alphys explains, "I studied DETERMINATION. I found it have the power to RESET. I had to do something to stop the human, so each time they died, I used my research to take some of their DETERMINATION. I stopped when I befriended them, but I still have all the stuff. You should use this to revive Chara. Best be taking it before the time police find out we have this stuff. They're the ones who outlawed it after all."

There's a knock on the door. "Open up!" A voice demands, "this is Blendin Blendin of the time police!"

"They found me," Grand Dad has a look of fear, "I don't know how but they found me."

"What do you mean found you?" I ask, "you mean this isn't about this stash of DETERMINATION?"

"No," Grand Dad replies, "remember, I killed Sans, so they thought I was the one doing genocide, and with all this DETERMINATION, it looks preety bad."

"Killed Sans?" Alphys asks, "genocide? What?"

"Open up!" Blendin demands slaming on the door now, "I won't let you kill memes again!"

"Listen," Grand Dad explains, "this stash is gone. Call Sans Alphys."

"First I want answers," she demands, "what are you guys talking about? Killing Sans and the genocide route? Don't think Sans didn't warn me about that."

I sigh. If we tell her, she'll be devastated, betrayed by a close freind, but we have no choice.

"Alphys," I explain, "Frisk did the genocide route in Memeville. They killed everyone to prevent Sans from dieing in the tournament. After all, the dragon balls don't work on monsters. The two magics counteract eachother. We stopped them, but to get them to RESET, Sans had to die. Now, we need you to keep this under wraps."

"I'll get Undyne!" Alphys explains, "she has DETERMINATION, she can help!"

"No," Grand Dad replies, "but listen, if we fail to stop Frisk, then you must kill Sans. Can you do that?"

"If it's for the greater good," Alphys replies, "then yes. If anything happens, give me or Undyne a ring. I'll have Sans bail us out of this mess."

"Well this was-" Flowey turns back into a flower then back again, "interesting, but won't Blendin be looking for you?"

"Probably," Grand Dad replies, "but we'll cross that bridge when we get there."

Alphys makes the call. "Hey Sans," she explains, "we're in a bit of a bind here..."
