Hey my lovelies!!!! I'm REALLY sorry for not updating for so long!!! I've been really busy with schoolwork and Drama rehearsals -_- . But I'm back and I'll try to update again as soon as possible!!!
Melanie: Just get to the story already
Author: hehe sorry.Now, onto the story!!

"Hailey...." whispers a voice.
"Mmph" I mumble.
"Hailey?..." it says again.
"Five more minutes..." I groan.
"HAILEY!!" I jumped out of my position and landed flat on my face.
"Ugh..." I groaned, picking myself up whilst rubbing my nose. "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR?!" I screamed. Melanie glanced back at me.
"We're here." She smirked. I growled under my breath and gathered my luggage. I stood up a bit wobbly and when I finally stepped on the platform I grabbed Melanie and nearly suffocated her from my hug. " Melanie please don't make me ever get on that train again!!" I dramatized. I finally let her go after I saw her cheeks go a bit blue. "Hehe...sorry" I said, embarrassed. She just smiled and rolled her eyes jokingly. And with that, we made our way through the bustling streets of Magnolia. A large river was running through the street I was walking on. I looked at the water and saw my reflection smiling back at me. I felt so happy that it seemed nothing could pop the little bubble of joy that seemed to surround me....until Melanie spoke.
"So, which way is the guild?" She asked. I froze on the spot. Oh boy....
"Umm...ha.Funny story, but I have absolutely no idea where it is." I said awkwardly. She whacked me over the head and started lecturing me about something. I wasn't really paying attention, my eyes were currently on a massive building near the center of the city. It looked a bit like a small castle. "Maybe that's it!" I said, stopping Melanie half-sentence.
"*sigh* I guess it's worth a shot to look." She said.
--Time skip 'cause Author-chan's lazy-
As I reached the top, I could feel my stomach knotting up. Thoughts started to swirl in my mind as I reached the door.
Will they accept me? !
Will they think I'm weak?!
Will they like me?!
"Hailey? Why'd you stop?" Melanie asked. My hand hovered above the doorknob.
"Just nervous I guess..." I gulped and opened it, only to be met with a flying table. My reflexes kicked in and I grabbed to table edge, inches away from my nose. I sweatdropped and set it off to the side.
Well this place sure is lively...

A huge brawl was going on through the guild and I was quietly trying to edge through the fight, while Melanie just flew over it. I had finally gotten to the back of the fight, and I saw a bar with a beautiful white haired woman was standing behind the counter,wiping a glass.
"Hello!" She chirped. "Can I help you?"
"U-uh yeah! I was w-wondering if I could join?" I stuttered.
Damn, me and my stuttering!
She looked at me for a moment, then gave me a sweet smile.
"Sure! I'll go get the master for his approval!" She said in her sugary-sweet voice. I nodded as a thanks and waited. Soon, a old, stout man wearing some kind of a jester costume come out and started asking me questions, such as my name.
"My n-name is Hailey R-Ryomisoka. And this I-is my exceed, Melanie." I explained.
"Great to meet you" Melanie said.
"It's a pleasure to meet both of you. Now, could you tell me what magic you use?" He said in a kind voice.
"Melanie uses Airia magic a-and I am a M-Music Dragon slayer." I said. He seemed stunned for a moment, but haves us a warm smile.
"Welcome to Fairy Tail!" He exclaimed."Mira, get the stamp." He ordered.
"Yes master!" She complied. She came back with a wooden stamp, and asked us where we want our guild mark. I got mine on my collarbone in a light teal, and Melanie got hers on her back in a golden-yellow. I thanked both of them
and sat down at a nearby table. I put my headphones on and listened to my favorite song, Death of a Bachelor. (Don't judge me..) Melanie drifted over and sat in my lap, then pulled out the little book I got her last week. Halfway through the song I noticed someone sit across from me. I looked up and saw a Blonde girl with a small ponytail on top of her head. She was staring at me for some reason, so I took off my headphones and asked.
"Do you need something?" She seemed to snap out of it and nervously laughed.
"Hehe, sorry! I kinda drifted off. Hey! I don't think I've seen you before, you must be new here!" She said.
"Uh, y-yeah! I joined just a f-few minutes ago actually. My name I-is Hailey, and t-this is Melanie." I said. Melanie didn't look up from her book, but simply waved.
"Well, it's great to have a new member. My name's Lucy by the way." She smiled, then asked, "Hey, do you want to meet some of the other guild members?"
"U-um sure! That'd b-be great!" I exclaimed. "Come on Melanie!"
~~~~Lucy's P.O.V~~~~~~~~~
"U-um sure! That'd b-be great! Come on Melanie!"
Aww.. she's stuttering. I'm sure she'll get over it. Hailey seems like a nice girl. I wonder what her magic is..
We walked side by side until I saw a certain hothead.
"Hey Natsu! I've got someone I want you to meet!" He turned around, and asked,
"You do? Who?". Hailey stepped out behind me and smiled.
"Hi. I-I'm Hailey, and this is my exceed, Melanie. It's n-nice to meet you" he blinked a few times and gave a toothy grin.
"Hey kid! Nice to meet ya! The name's Natsu, and this is Happy!" He said, pointing up to a blue cat with a green cape, who had his eyes on Melanie. Happy flew down and started talking with Melanie. They surprisingly got along well, they even gave each other fish! Natsu, Hailey, and I started talking with each other. Hailey stuttering started to go away after she got used to us, and everyone was having a surprisingly good time. Then I decided to ask Hailey if she had a place to stay.
"Not really.. my apartment is an hour away by train and there's NO WAY I'm getting on that hell ride." She said.
"You can spend the night in my apartment if you want." I suggested. She agreed and gave me a big hug. And of course I hugged back.
~~~~Hailey's P.O.V.~~~~~
I was getting ready to leave with Lucy, when Natsu came up to me and asked,
"Hey Hailey, I forgot to ask, what magic do you use?"
I gave him a smile, " I'm a music dragon slayer" I said proudly.
"Cool! Another dragon slayer! I'm the fire dragon slayer!" He then got into a serious tone." Do you have any idea where your dragon or Igneel is?!"
I gave him a sad look. "I'm sorry. I wish I knew. But hey! We can look for them together!"
"Yeah!" He shouted.
"Hailey! You comin'?" Mealanie shouted.
"Yup!" I called back. I flashed Natsu one last smile and ran towards Lucy and Melanie.
--At Lucy's apartment---
We walked in and I gazed around the ginormous apartment.
"It's not much, but it's home." She said.
"It's amazing!" I said. She gave me a thoughtful smile, then said,
"The guest bedroom's right next to the bathroom. You can take a bath if you want to." She said. I thanked her and went to my room.
We dropped off our bags and got comfortable. I grabbed my pajamas and went to the bathroom for a nice, hot bath. As I took off my clothes, I looked at myself in the mirror. Several slashes ran down my back and a long scar went across my stomach. I swallowed back the tears that threatened to fall and stepped into the hot water, relaxing every muscle in my body. After my soak, I got dressed, and went to bed, thoughts rushing through my head about today's events. The last thought I had before I fell asleep was,
I finally have a family again.
