Kano POV

"Where in the world could Kousuke be?!" I exclaimed, throwing up my hands. "Not to mention Kousuye. Where could they have run off to?!"

Kuuya scowled at me. "Shout it a little louder, I don't think America heard you."

I smirked at her. "Hey, sister, since you're the older one, you try to go and find them. You can't trust me, the younger one, to go out all by myself, can you?"

She opened her mouth, then closed it again. "I don't trust you with anything," she said quietly, and silenty stalked off to her room.

I knew she was worried about the other twins. She just was reluctant to say it. Then, all of a sudden, my phone rang. The caller ID said: Kousuke Seto. I quickly answered it and said, "Where the heck are you?!"

Kousuke sounded sad. "I-I didn't have any bars until now..." he said.

I chewed on my lip. "You don't have any bars where you are... Where--are--you?"

"I'm... in the middle of the forest..."

"Wait, you're where?"

"I couldn't control my power... And then, I started to run, and I didn't know where I was going. Kousuye just kind of followed me." Kousuke said. He sounded nervous.

"Hm," I said, trying to calm down. "You need to learn to better control it--"

Nee-chan ran in and took the phone from my hand. Crying a little bit, she screamed, "We were so worried about you! Come back! You were gone for--for days and--" She stopped talking abruptly.

"What?" I asked. Tsubomi came in, roused from her nap from all the commotion.

"He's gone..." Nee-chan said, and just like that she became more determined than ever. "Come on! We're going to the forest and we're going to search--"

Tsubomi gasped. "Search? But we're going to get lost, like him. We are!"

Nee-chan turned on her. "No, we're not. Don't talk like that!" She winked. "You're going to jinx it."

Tsubomi blushed and turned away. "Sorry..."

Now, you may want to know why I have a twin, Kousuke has a twin, but Tsubomi doesn't. Tsubomi's twin was supposedly burned alive in the fire that killed her sister. I believe that he's still alive, but even Kido herself has given up on believing. I won't, though. Nee-chan's twin brother was at school, at a student council meeting. He's a supersmart braniac, the head of the student council. He's really cool.

Nee-chan grabbed us by the collars and marched us out of the door. "Wait," I said, "You're forgetting Kuuya!"

She froze and marched us back into the house. "Where is she?" she asked.

"Probably in her room," Tsubomi offered.

"Yeah." I said, "That's where she is." I moved out of her grip on my hoodie and walked down the hall to her room. When I got inside, she was playing a video game. When she saw me, she brushed her sun-streaked curls out of her face and said, "What are you doing in my room? I told you to--"

"Stay out of the room," I finished, "I know. But we're going to search for Kousuke and Kousuye again! Right now!"

She sighed. "Again? We should just let the authorites handle it."

I gaped at her. "Do you care about them at all?"

She looked up at me. "Truthfully, I really, really, really want them to come home. I miss Ye-chan. She listens to me." she slapped a hand over her mouth. "Dang it!" ((She calls Kousuye Ye-chan. Ke-kun with Seto.))

I stared at her red eyes. "It's okay," I said, my words airy, like an accidental whisper. "You don't have to go if you don't want to.

She jumped up. "No! I want to go! I do!"

I walked to the door. "Then hurry up and get ready. We're leaving soon."

Kani POV

I really did miss them. I missed them both a lot. I just didn't want to say it; but my eyes told me I had to. I still didn't know how to control it. It's really hard. I don't know how Shuuya got the hang of his. He won't tell me how. All he said was: 'Learn how to do it yourself. I know you can do it.'

That son of a gun.

I've tried and I've tried, but I just can't get it under control! It makes me really frustrated. I want to talk like a normal person! No one trusts me at school, because I can't keep a secret, and I'm always blurting out random things about me in the middle of class. I hate it.

I stuck my hands in my pocket. "So, where are we going again?" I asked, since I had no idea where. No one had told me.

Shuuya smirked at me. "No one told you? Tsk, tsk, Ayano-nee. I thought you told her."

"I thought you told her," Ayano said poutily. "Anyway, we're searching in the forest this time. Shuuya got a call from Ke-kun saying that he was in the forest."

I blanched. "The forest?! What the heck is he doing in there?"

Shuuya shot me a hush-up look. "I'll tell you later," He whispered to me. "'Kay?"

I nodded. "I'm worried about them..."

As we reached the edge of the woods. Bomi-nee looked like she was rethinking coming. "I-it's dark in there..." She said quietly.

Shuuya chuckled with his familiar annoyance. "Come on, Tsubomi! It won't be that bad."

And that's when we heard the scream.
