The three of them stood speechless , with widened eyes looking at the warden. Netra's hand stopped in mid air clutching the vase which she was about to throw on Siya. Siya stood motionless like a statue but her expressions were definitely hilarious . For a moment, both the girls were unable to think anything .

"Why are you girls fighting?" , the warden asked in her "manly" voice.

She had an intimidating physique and anyone could tell how strict she was, no doubt she was the only warden who handled the whole building.

"Maine pucha aap dono se kuch .. aap dono kyu lad rhi thi", she slightly raised her voice.

"Ma'am I.... we , .. we ", Netra opened and closed her mouth unable to form coherent words.

The lady raised her eyebrows , looking at her suspiciously before turning her gaze towards Siya , her eyes blazing with utter disappointment silently asking her for an explanation for their highly immature behavior.

Siya just looked down unable to bear her gaze.

The warden shook her head , finally speaking

"The stunt you girls pulled is unacceptable, this is a serious preach of discipline" , she remarked , her tone hard and icy cold.

"Next time I catch any one of you causing any kind of trouble, Mujhse bura koi nhi hoga" , she warned her tone dropping slightly.

She looked at them with her big scary eyes .. Netra and Siya looked down unable to stand her gaze.

She turned away finally walking out but not before saying

"Don't think I will always be this lenient, I am watching you ... and yah ask that boy to come out now" ..

Their eyes popped out as they finally realised that all this while when they were getting scolded , Reyansh had vanished.

Reyansh made his way out of the small balcony attached to the room with an apologetic and sheepish expression.

"I hope you know boy's are not allowed in girls hostel young man", the warden tried to sound sarcastic but that turned to come out even more intimidating.

Saying this she finally left ...

only to find the dog outside our gate. She didn't even flinch at the encounter.

She shot a glare at there direction before picking the dog up leading it out of the corridor.

The trio visibly release their breaths which they were holding all the while

"That woman is definitely something gosh". I exclaimed

Reyansh was now smiling like an idiot while Siya glared at him.

"It was a prank" He mimicked her words only to receive her flying sandle which hit him directly on his face.

"How's Thattt" , Siya exclaimed, impressed by her aim.

'Perfect shot Siyu', I patted her shoulder..

"Aur tum, bheegi billi ki trh kyu khade ho ... ha?"

"Get lost before that grumpy warden drags you out the hostel", Siya commented

"Jaa rha hu meri maa'' .. Reyansh made his way out ..

"Start explaining Siya "

"What Netra, c'mon yrr it was just a prank"

"Tujhe mai hi mili thi prank krne ko?"
I exasperated.

"Ab tu hi toh meri pyaari eklauti roommate hai ..."

I rolled my eyes at her flattering tone ...

And this was the day we found the prankster of our friend group.

He was looking at me with mischief in his eyes

I hid behind a pillar.. peeking out to get a glimpse of his enchanting face

Our eyes locked ... the time seemed to stop .. all the noice fading away in the background.

'Splash'

"Holy cow !! 'What the hell' " , I woke up with a jerk as someone splashed water on my face.

"Siyaaaaaaaaa", I groaned in anger

The bi*ch giggled

"Come on Niya , I was just trying to wake you up"

"Ye koi tareeka hota hai kisi ko uthane ka" ... "pata nhi kis pagal se pala pada hai mera bhagwan ", I exaggerated..

"Chal an nautanki band kar apni warna college ke liye late honge ham",Siya reminded .

"Don't you have the courtesy to atleast apologise. Aren't you guilty at all", I accused her.

"Ohh yaa I'm guilty ... soo guilty to waste a jug of water on a useless creature like you ... ab uth jaa warna iss bar pani nhi keechar daal dungi tujhpe"

"Ahhhhhhh
....... oky I'm going "

I and Siya were standing in front of the college gate, I was trying to make a call but much to my dismay the other person wasn't picking up.

"Call uthao...call uthao ..tch", her phone was coming switched off..

"Are you sure she'll show up??",Siya asked , reluctance sensible in her tone.

"She has too show up , we had a deal .",I exclaimed.

"ye seniors jaise deal bada maanenge "

"Siya the skeleton which I'm gonna purchase from her is not an ordinary one, it's one of the closest model depicting real skeletons. Isse accha cahiye hoga toh kabristaan se khod kr lana hoga."

"But what's even the ne.....", As I saw Nanika ma'am (senior) ,I pulled Siya with me ready to buy the skeleton.

"Good morning ma'am , mai Netra, meri aapse baat hui thi na kal skeleton ke regarding"

She removed her headphones with frustration and looked at me with disinterest.

" accha woh skeleton.. woh toh bech diya maine..", she replied smirking.

"Huh... what do you mean by bech diya maine ... we had a deal ma'am .. this is not right.", I replied my tone holding a hint of rebel.

"And who are you to teach me what's right or wrong ? Listen newbie.. It's not a deal until it's done." , she replied casually..

"But....", she cut me off , remarking

"College ke pehle din jeans....? Bohot badhiya", she said eying my outfit with disinterest.

Siya following the apology code started to apologise.

"Tu bhi kar naa .. marvayegi kya?

We apologised thrice as per as the apology code and ran away quickly ...

Well, jeans was not allowed on the first day, therefore Siya wore kurti-plazo set while I being the rebellious one chose to defy the seniors on the very first day.

I wore a white shirt paired with a blue boot cut jeans. hair as always tied up in a messy bun.

"Bach gye .. bola tha na tujhe pange mat le.. " , Siya mildly rebuked .

"Aree aap dono yaha", Reyansh made his way towards us.

"Kyu dikh nhi rhe kya", Siya answered him sarcastically.

"Hello Netra ... " , he cheerfully wished me , ignoring Siya's comment.

"Hmm hello", I was still quite stressed about the skeleton thing.

"Why is she looking as if kisi ne iska purse chura liya ho",Reyansh whispered to Siya.

Hearing him , Siya explained the whole senario to him.

And his reaction....

"Hahahaaaa ... omg you thought that the senior would keep her promise... school me kbhi kisi senior ne tujhe dhokha nhi diya kya ... haahahh"...

"Ha khi khi kra lo bas inse batameez" ,
I spat angrily making him shut his mouth ..

"Hey Netra waha dekh .. us ladke ke paas skeleton hai .. khi aisa toh nhi nainika ne usee hi becha ho tera skeleton", Siya pointed out at a fresher.

I curiously looked around trying to make out whom she was talking about...

I spotted him .. sitting at stairs , hand in hand with the same skeleton I was about to purchase. For a few seconds I could not take my eyes off him ...

He was wearing his lab coat, stethoscope around his neck. He had wore an outfit much more formal than mine .. a black shirt paired with beige pants and sneakers. His messy hair fell on his forehead giving him a coquettish look ...

👆Nishant's outfit... imagine him wearing beige pants.

He smiled looking at the skeleton, his dimples popping out , eyes crinkling at the corners ...

*omg he had dimples

He looked younger than me ... even though we both were in first year .

*click*

I snapped out of my thoughts , as Siya clicked her fingers in front of my eyes.

" kaha kho gyi madam", she remarked.

"Soch rhi hu usse ye skeleton liya kaise jaaye.."

After a few moments

"Idea .... ". I broke the silence prevailing between the three of us.

"Kya khichdi pakayi Niya?", Reyansh teased .

"Follow the lead guyssss" I said in a 'sing song' manner

'Ye skeleton toh mai le kr rahungi ... Delhi ki hu , haar nhi manungi"...
