***TAKES PLACE BEFORE THE MAZE RUNNER***

Tears stream down your face as you and the love of your life, Newt, walk down the halls of WICKED headquarters. Today was the day that Newt would forget about you and go off into The Maze Trials.

Newt grabbed your hand and looked at you with teary eyes, "Hey, Y/N... it will be okay."

A tear slips out of his eye and you smile weakly, trying to hide your tears - although you know you are not succeeding.

The two of you arrive at a door. And you knew that when Newt went through that door he would come out not even remembering your name. Newt looks at you sadly. It hurts you so much to know that he'll be going into a death trap - and he may not come back alive. And even if he does come back alive... he's not immune.

You throw your arms around Newt. He pulls you closer to him as you let out a sob. A tear falls on your shoulder. You look to see Newt crying with you.

"I love you," you say, and your voice cracks as you let out more sobs. Newt shakily smiles and says, "I love you too."

Newt presses his lips to yours and the two of you stay like for what seems like hours. But the moment is broken too soon.

Newt hugs you again. You sob into his shoulder and he whispers, "I love you. I'll seen you in a few years..."

You knew that you would be going into the Trials in two years. You nod and wipe the tears off your face, "I love you too."

He cracks a small smile and looks back a you as two WICKED guards escort him into the room. And as the door slams shut behind them, you let out a sob and run off to find your friends Thomas and Teresa.

Newt may not be gone... but the Newt you knew and love is.
