You and Newt had just survived a fight with the Cranks. It was quite hard and utterly terrifying. You thought you would never be the same.

You slide down, against the wall of a small, scorched building. Your boyfriend, Newt, comes up to you and hands you a bottle of water.

"Here, you look like you need it," Newt says and sits next to you.

You take the water and drink a large gulp, "Thanks, Newt."

He nods and stares off into the Scorch, and the silence between you two was soothing.

You lean against Newt, "Do you think we can survive this?" You ask, "The Scorch, the Cranks,  WICKED, everything..."

Newt wraps his protective arm around you, "We made it through the maze... we can do this."

You wanted to believe him, but you heard the doubt in his voice. "And if we don't make it... at least I'll die knowing that I love the most beautiful girl on the planet."

You blush and smile. Newt was so sweet, and he is truly The Glue. "I love you," You say and look into his deep brown eyes. He smiles back at you, "I love you too, Y/N."

So the two of you stay there, in each other's arms and look out into the Scorch, ready to face whatever dangers may be out there.

And you'll face them together.
