Newt

You ran out of the maze and doubled over to catch your breath, about a minute later Minho came running out of the maze panting, "When did you get back?" He asked, in-between breaths, "Just now, looks like I beat you!" You exclaimed, straitening up and looking over at him as he doubled over, "But-" he stared, you cut him off by saying. 

"I won fair and square and you know it, and I ran further than you did!" You exclaimed, starting to walk towards the Map Room. Minho ran to catch up with you.

"No you didn't!" He replied, walking in time with you as you walked across the glade.

"Yes I did! Section eight is further away than section four!" You almost yelled. Back and forth you and Minho bickered until you were inside the Map Room where you found Thomas drawing up his map.

"What are you two arguing about now?" Thomas asked, sighing as he looked up from his map.

"Who's faster." Minho replied, walking over to get some paper and pens. "And that would be me." You said, sitting down with some paper and pens to draw up todays map.

"You are not faster than me thank you very much." Minho said, putting his hands on his hips and frowning. You turned to Thomas. 

"We had a race, who could get back to the glade first but still be on time, I won and my section is further away than Minho's." You explained, Sticking your tongue out at Minho then you turned your attention back to drawing your map.

"Well what sections were you running?" Thomas asked, you looked up, "I was running section eight and Minho ran section four." You answered, Thomas thought for a second then replied, "Well section eight is further away than section four." You jumped up and fist pumped the air. 

"Thomas! I thought we were friends, why are you helping her?" Minho asked, staring at Thomas. He just laughed, "Tough luck pal." You said, slinging an arm around Thomas who was laughing.

Once you had finished drawing your map you got up to leave. Just as you were about to push open the door Thomas called out, "Oh and (y/n)." You turned around to face him, "Yea?" 

Thomas walks towards you and hands you a note, "It's from Newt." He says, winking as Minho wolf whistles in the background, You just roll your eyes.

"Oh come on (y/n) we all know that you like each other." Minho says, looking at you while Thomas laughs. "Yea it's so obvious." Thomas added, you shook your head.

"Look, he probably just wants help with something." You sighed, as Thomas rolled his eyes, "We all know thats not true." He replies, you sighed and muttered, "Sure."

You turned to go and just before you left Minho calls, "Don't forget to give lover boy our best!" You groaned and walked out of the Map Room.

You unfolded the note, it read,

Dear (y/n),

Please could you meet me in the deadheads as soon as your done mapping your section.

You refolded the note, shoved it in your back pocket and walked over to the forest. As you walked you thought about what Minho and Thomas said, you couldn't deny that you did have a crush on Newt. The way he always cares about others, how he always puts a smile on your face even when your sad and how he treats everyone in the glade as equals.

As you walked around the forest you saw the figure of a boy sitting against a tree.

"Newt?" You called out, the figure stood up, brushed off his trousers and walked over to where you were standing.

"(y/n), you came." Newt smiled, you nodded and smiled, "Of course I did." You replied, looking at him in the eyes, you could tell he was nervous about something.

"Newt, why are you so nervous?" You asked, watching him fiddle with his hands, he looked at you then back down at his feet, "I w-wanted to ask y-you something-g." He stuttered, you had never seen Newt stutter before, he was always so calm and confident.

"What did you want to ask me?" You asked, trying to make eye contact with him, "Hey, it's okay, you can tell me anything." You said, lifting his chin so he was looking at you and not his feet.

"Yea I know, it's just" He sighed, cleared his thought, straitened up and said, "(y/n), would you do me the honer of being my girlfriend?" You stood there shocked, he looked down. 

"I knew you'd say no. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said anything. I'll just go." He mumbled, just as he turned around you grabbed his hand and turned him round.

"Newt, I didn't say no. I would love to be your girlfriend." You answered, he burst into a wide grin and engulfed you in a hug, "You have just made me the happiest shank in the world." He said, hugging you tightly. 

Thomas

It was late afternoon and you had just finished working, you picked up your tools and began to put them away. A sudden voice spoke up out of no where, "Need a hand?" The voice asked.

"Yea, that would be great." You replied, you knew it was Newt, "Here let me take that." Newt said, lifting a couple of hammers out of your arms, "Thanks." You replied.

You both walked over to the tool shed talking and laughing about your day. After you put your tools away you and Newt sat in the shade of a tree and talked for ages. 

Thomas POV

I walked out of the map room and was about to go and look for (y/n) when I saw her sitting with Newt, talking and laughing. Something snapped inside me, I clenched my fists and gritted my teeth.

I am the one who is supposed to make her laugh, why is Newt talking to her? Are they going out? Should I go over and do something?  I asked my self, then something said inside my head, yes you klunckhead go over and talk to her!  

I walked over to where (y/n) and Newt are sitting. 

Your POV

As you laughed at Newts story you spotted Thomas walking over, Newt saw you looking and raised an eyebrow, "Oh look here comes lover boy." He cooed, you could feel your face heating up.

"Shh! He might hear you!" You hissed, Thomas stood over you and Newt, "Who might hear what?" He asked, he looked quite angry.  

"Don't worry Thomas its nothing." You said, your face still quite red, Newt sniggered behind his hands. Thomas shot him a death glare, "Can I have a word with you (y/n). In privet." Thomas asked, not taking his eyes off Newt. 

Before you could give him a answer he took your hand and dragged you away from Newt. 

Once you and Thomas were out of ear shot he turned to you with a raised eyebrow, "What was that?" He asked, you looked at him confused, "What was what?" You asked, crossing your arms over your chest. 

"Oh don't do that. You and Newt! Are you two dating?" He exclaimed, you looked at him then burst into laughter. His face fell into confusion, "Why are you laughing?" He asked, 

Once you had stopped laughing you said, "You thought Newt and I are dating? Thats ridiculous! He's my best friend!" 

"Oh." Thomas said, his face bright red his gaze fixed on his shoes, "Awww is Tommy jealous?" You asked, laughing. 

"Yes." He muttered, you fell silent, "You where?" You ask in shock, he just nodded, "Why?" You asked, he looked up at you. 

"Because I like you." He said, you stood there for a split second. 

"I like you to Thomas." You said, you knew your face must be really red, "Good. Well in that case will you maybe, well-l, would you like to go out with m-me?" He asked, stuttering slightly, You smiled.

"I would love to go out with you."

Minho

It was supper time in the glade and you were sitting with Newt, Thomas and Chuck at a table eating Frypans supper. The talk changed from the Maze to talking about you and Minho, your crush, very fast.

"Oh come on (y/n) we all know you both have a thing." Thomas said, laughing as Chuck giggled and Newt chuckled. You sighed, "No we don't. He doesn't like me at all." You looked down and started to play with you food.

"Thats not true." Newt said, looking over at you, "Yea but I bet that he didn't strait up say 'I like (y/n)' did he." You replied, looking up at all of them. 

"I wouldn't bet on that." Thomas muttered.

You were about to ask what he meant when someone tapped you on the shoulder, you turned round to see who it was. It was Minho.

"Hello Minho." You said, smiling, "(y/n) I have a very important question to ask you." He replied, you nodded to him telling him to go on. He cleared his thought.

"(y/n) would you like to be my girlfriend?" He asked, you smiled, "Yes, I would like to be your girlfriend." He kissed your cheek. 

"I'll be back in a minute." He said, then left grinning like a idiot. You turned back to your food.

"I told ya." Thomas and Newt said at the same time, you shook your head trying not to smile, but it failed miserably. 

"Shut up shanks."

Gally

You were working in the gardens when you heard someone shouting your name, "(Y/N)!" You looked up startled. Looking around wildly you spotted Gally and a group of his friends, "WHAT?" You shouted back smiling widely.

You could not deny that you do have a crush on the keeper of the builders.

"WOULD YOU LIKE TO GO OUT WITH ME?" He yelled across the glade, You grinned and shouted back, "YEA SURE!" As soon as you you said it you heard cheering, grinning from ear to ear you got back to work.

About five minutes later you felt a pair of arms wrap around your waist and someone resting there head on your shoulder, "Thank you for agreeing to go out with me." Gally said, you smiled and replied, "Thats okay, I am glad that we're going out." You said, you could feel Gally smile against your neck.

"Me too."
