an AU Valentine's Day special with Thomas < 3

THOMAS: ‘valentine’s day? Terrible idea’

“Valentine’s day? Terrible idea” you say, frowning at your friend who had suggested a double date with her and her boyfriend for the upcoming holiday.

“aw c’mon! it’ll be fun” she continues to pester you, in high hopes.

“I don’t even have someone to go with. Besides, valentine’s day is dumb. Why do couples need their own special day to show their affection towards their significant other when they have 365?!” you almost yell, flailing your arms in the air. In all honestly, valentine’s day did look like a lot of fun, but year after year you were left alone to wallow in your self-pity, watching couples go by, hand in hand with the dumbest grins plastered on their faces. Eventually, you got sick of it all.

“so greedy…” you mutter, puffing out your cheeks in slight annoyance as your friend walks away, dejected.

“how bitter,” a male voice suddenly invades your senses. You turn to see Thomas, a boy in the same grade as you, with a smug smirk on his face. “just because you’re alone with no one to buy you chocolates and flowers-”

“get lost” you growl, shoving your books into your locker and pushing past the boy with a tint of pink on your cheeks. You felt your face heat up. You had a crush on Thomas, ever since the first day you met but he was way out of your league and quite the jerk.

“hey now” you hear the male chuckle behind you as you felt fingers curl around your wrist, pulling you back. “we weren’t done talking” he laughs and takes your phone from your hands and holds it above him.

“give that back!” you gasp, jumping to reach it but to no avail. “what do you want?”

“I want you to be my valentine” Thomas leans forward, his smirk never leaving his lips. “got that?” he almost growls in your ear, causing your cheeks to heat up. Thomas laughs at your reaction and quickly types in his number on your phone before returning it to you but being the guy he is, he leans forward once more to place a soft kiss on your cheek and walks off, proud of himself and leaving you in a blushing mess.
