You choose the overgrown path and cautiously pick your way through vines and shrubs until you spot a glint of bright light in the distance and quicken your pace in anticipation.

However, when you see what the light comes from you slow down in puzzlement. There are two paths ahead of you, but in front of them stands a golden statue with two faces facing left and right.

As you walk nearer the statue moves to obscure your path and to your wonderment opens its mouth to speak.

'Welcome.

'I am Janus, god of time and passageways. To pass you must first choose to explore the past or the future. One will save you; the other will not.

'Good luck.'

Nervously you nod and stare at the paths. They appear to be the same, but one mistake could cost you everything.
