Ch.23
-This chapter is unedited-
Clay yawned wide as his fangs poked through his bottom lip, a throbbing sensation running through them. A gnawing hunger in his stomach. But that didn't bother him. What made him uncomfortable was the hardness that rested between his legs. Her scent surrounded him and smothered him. Clay's thoughts were always about her and how he could make her his. He not only wanted to place his mark on her but he wanted to gain her love as well.
Corania was his everything, every fiber in his body called out for her. If he could he would only be around her and no one else. Since that fateful night that he had looked into that dusty inn window and heard her beautiful laugh, he knew that she was the one he had been waiting for. His Mate, the woman that was destined to be his.
Gripping the sides of the coffin he slept in, he thought about those sweet brown eyes and that warm smile that made his insides melt. Before she had entered his town for the past twenty years he had been having visions of her. They were never clear. At first, it was just glimpses of cradles and lullabies. Then it was bike handles and scraped knees. That made his heartache at her discomfort. Clay had realized that his mate was a child and he was watching her grow. And it was amazing yet torture. It was like a ripple effect on her emotions. The pain he felt when her father died was so strong that he couldn't even think about feeding. But the older she got the less he saw. And the more he feared that maybe he had never experienced those visions. That his loneliness had caused them.
But here she was in his home and laying in his bed. He could hear the soft beating of her heart and his problem once again sprung forth in his mind. It was sweet torture to know that the person of his desire was right next to him. She was his sun. The moans he pulled from her how she would clench around his fingers. Clay growled as he reached his hand into his pants and to a firm hold of his manhood and moved his hand up and down. The pleasure building up and up as he pumps to the rhythm of her pulse.
Clay's body relaxed as he took in the ecstasy that came with finding release. He wished it was her hand instead of his. He had put off his instincts as long as he could. Vampires usually bit their mates as soon as they met them so other vampires or supernatural creatures knew that they were claimed. Roselyn had claimed the blue-haired girl the same night that Roslyn commended her to kill her old lover.
Clay had wanted Corania to be comfortable with him and this was the difference Roselyn mate had already accepted with her and that made the claiming process much easier. Clay knew that Corania did not like the girl anymore and if she asked him he had no problem getting rid of her and Roslyn. Her wants and needs came before anyone else.
Getting out of his coffin he went to the guest bathroom and washed his hands. Going into his office he moved the carpet to the sides and pried the small metal hatch up. Pulling out a cellphone and laptop, powering it up and looking at the email he had been corresponding with Cadmus Gargoyle who ran a secret town just for Supernatural beings. Clay wanted to purchase a large sum of land so he could make Corania happy yet assure that she couldn't leave him. Reading over the details he smiled as the deal had played out in his favor. The land already had a large Victorian style mansion but also a smaller home that he would turn into his mother-in-law home.
Clay knew that moving to Brookehaven would ensure the privacy that he needed. All creatures knew the importance of mates and this town assured that all mates were kept safe within the town's borders. The town would also allow Corania to feel like she had freedom and if she wanted she could still become a writer or teacher. Clay knew that she had dreams and hopes and he would do everything in his power to give them to her. So spending 10 million dollars to ensure that the future was nothing. He had millions more; it didn't even make a dip into his wealth.
Clay had told Corania that he would fix everything that was causing her pain and he planned to do just that. Grabbing his phone he dialed and was glad to hear from Cadmus the person who was the Alpha of the town. Cadmus was a Gargoyle who had developed the town when he saw that their human mates were prone to being difficult. Sadly he had yet to meet his mate. But with the creation of the town, it allowed them to give a fair chance to their mates and for them to also be protected. The town was diverse and would allow Corania to feel happy with seeing other humans. And her mother would also be able to stay and be with her daughter. It was a win. Clay didn't feel bad about deceiving her when he said he didn't have a working phone but he couldn't allow her to call the cops or tell her mother that she was stuck here.
Clay also couldn't risk drawing more attention to them because it seemed that the government had organized a task force to place restrictions on Supernatural creatures. They called themselves the Supernatural Bureau Of Investigation. It seemed that the Director was actually mated to a vampire and originally had been a detective looking into the murder of young people. He didn't know too much but he would say that she was a woman who was not to be played with. That she wasn't just simply a human woman either. Clay didn't know everything but he knew that his time in this town was coming to an end. He no longer felt the need to run the vampires here. He would go his own way and spend his time devoted to his mate. And either way the town was down it was only a matter of time before they realized that they had murdered all the agents they had sent here. He didn't plan to put his mate at risk and Brookhaven was the perfect place to take her.
Now that Clay knew that Corania was comfortable around him and more affectionate he would allow her to call her mother more.
"How are you,Cadmus?"
"I am well and pleased to hear that you've found your mate, Clay. she sounds wonderful."
"Yes,she is. I am glad that we will soon be a part of the community."
"The land you requested has been sitting for ages and the two houses will not take long to fix up and accommodate your needs. You three will enjoy it here."
"Good and your witch will be able to create me the rings?"
"Yes, the rings will be able to be made and the spell will be cast on both rings allowing you to share your mate's ability to walk in the sun."
"I am transferring the money as we speak to your account."
"The money has been received and I officially welcome you and your mate to Brookhaven."
Clay ended the call and smiled as his plans were now coming together.Placing the items back into the hidden slot he replaced the rug and made his way through the house and slipped into their bedrooms the shades were drawn keeping the sunlight out of the house. Looking towards the bed he moved over her and watched as her chest rose and fell. Her plump lips parted, her eyes lashes settled delicately against her face. She looked like a princess. A sleeping beauty, leaning down he places a sweet kiss on her lips. Then started to kiss all over her face and neck. He started to suck a hickey right over the spot he wanted to place his mark.
Clay smirked as he smelled her arousal starting to form between her legs. Her body knew his touch, and once again his body reacted to her divine smell.
Joining his mate under the covers he pulled her form closer to himself and groaned at her body heat. She felt so nice and welcoming. Today was the day, he felt it in his bones. Clay had waited long enough.
A/N: We get to see what Clay has up his selves. If you read some of my book Under the cover of darkness you might see the connections. But what do you think is going to happen next? Don't forget to vote and comment!
