Jades pov
I don't know how long I have been gone. Or what had woken me from my favorite rock. It was still dark out. But not to dark. Just enough light was shinning from the stars and the moon. Brightening up the clearing around me. I could even see my track if I looked hard enough.
Crack.
I snapped my head towards the direction of the sound. It came from inside the woods that was less than 20 feet away from me. The sound wasn't like a stick snapping. It was like the sound of tree itself snapping. So I knew that whatever had caused the sound wasn't going to be a heavy weighted bunny. There was only one thing in these woods that I knew could cause a sound like that.
Wherewolves.
"Dj? Is that you?" I could hear the fear in my voice.
A low threatening growl. Was my answer. Proved my guess of it being a wolf.
I sat upstraighter on my rock. Not laying down anymore in case I had to make a quick escape. I laughed mentally at myself. Like I could out run a wolf. And if it turned out to be a werewolf. There was no way in hell I was going to make it off the rock.
"Dj?" I asked again. But deep down, I knew something wasn't right. I didn't feel safe like I did whenever DJ was around.
I continued to watch the woods from which I heard the sickening sound. I watched until I saw something move. I couldn't make it out for the light of the moon and the stars didn't reach that far into the forest. But I could just barely make out an outline of an animal. I strained my eyes as I tried harder to see the animal. But before I could get a better glance, the animal stepped out into the moon light.
I gasped in shock, fear, and surprise. It was indeed a wolf. Only this one was much lighter than DJ. This one had a brown coat with patches of black. This wolf wasn't as big as DJ but I knew for a fact that it was a werewolf. Based on its size. It was much bigger than an adverage wolf. I could also tell by the way it carried itself that it had pride and power. Something that regular wolf wouldn't really care about.
I watched as it took a couple steps closer. Each step bring it twice as closer to me than an adverage wolfs steps would. It was almost standing over me when it came to a stop. I sat frozen in fear of what this wolf was going to do. I knew not to look at it in the eyes, but I couldn't help it. I knew the wolf was probably going to take it as a challenge. But for some reason I felt like I had power over this wolf. Even though here I am sitting in fear on a rock. I also felt like I could take care of myself if it came to fight. Which was really weird for here I am a human girl that never really got into fights could take a wolf. Talk about being mental.
"H-Hello." I stuttered. I watched as the wolf tilted its head to the side. "I am not a threat." I stated. Knowing it could understand me. The wolf seemed to smile at this. Or so I thought as the corners of its lips pulled upwards, and its tongue was hanging out the side of its mouth. Which he probably already knew I wasn't a threat because I am a human and he is a big bad ass wolf.
I kept my eyes on the wolf. I watched as the smile disappeared, and they bowed their head to me as if showing a sign of submission.
Well damn. Look at me go. Queen of the wolves. I thought to myself thinking of how i have DJ and now this wolf.
"What is your name?" So I can added it to my wolf collection.
For some reason it didn't want to tell me. For I didn't hear him speak into my mind. But apparently it wanted to get closer. In fact it wanted to get real close. Close enough to where it stood at the very edge of the rock. Not even 4 feet away. And it watched me.
I kept my eyes glued to his. And for what I could tell, it looked as though love, and passion was flashing in its eyes. The feels where so big that when it put it's paw up on the rock, I didn't feel the fear to back away from it. If anything, I wanted to get closer.
So I did.
Big mistake.
