ENCOURAGEMENT

The next morning, Sonic squirmed and slowly woke up from his sleep just to find himself still being held close by his mate. They're both still under the blanket and the air was cold since the day's still early.

Sonic rubbed his forehead against Shadow's muzzle gently, it woke him up slowly.

"Hmm...good morning, Sonic." The older hedgehog gazed and smiled.

"Good morning." The younger one smiled back and wagged his tail. "I thought last night was a dream."

"It wasn't." Shadow chuckled and gently stroke his partner's head. "I was actually afraid I knocked you up from it."

"Oh please." Sonic smirked, "you can't take me down that easily, I told you I'm dominant too."

"Suuree." Shadow rolled his eyes sarcasticaly and earned a laugh from the other.

Sonic sat up and stretched his arms up, he pushed the blanket off and sat on the edge of the bed.

"Let's go to bath, Shadow. We need it." He giggled.

"Yeah, you're right." Shadow smiled and got himself off the bed.

The two loving mates entered the bathroom and started taking bath together. There was no sensual tension, just the fun of splashing each other with warm water and almost hurt each other's eyes with the liquid soap. Once they finished cleaning themselves and dried themselves up, they finally stepped out to the living room.

Sonic and Shadow quickly notice that Silver and Mephiles were already there.

"Good morning guys!" Sonic greeted and hugged his albino friend.

"Morning, Sonic." Silver smiled while he was being pat.

Mephiles stared at his twin with a playful smug, Shadow already knew what was on his mind and he facepalmed.

"I'll explain later."

"Can you?" The pale hedgehog snickered.

"Just don't say anything right now." Shadow warned.

They all sat down and started chatting together, after a while Annie came to the room to deliver Silver and Sonic's breakfast. She brought the tray in and put it on the counter.

Annie stared at the collars on her hedgehogs' necks and thought about what she found out last night. She smiled.

"By the way, I'm proud that you both haven't taken your collars off." The caretaker said.

"Thank you, at least I try not to." Silver chuckled.

"Are you giving us another reward?" Sonic's eyes sparkled in excitement.

"Haha, I didn't say that." Annie laughed. "Come on Shadow, Mephiles, time to go back to your room for now." She called.

Sonic and Silver looked upset when she said that.

"Hey why can't they just stay?" The blue hedgehog complained.

"Because they were here all night caring for you two, it's time to give them a little break." She stated. "Don't worry, I'll send them here after today's extraction."

The twins' ears perked up and they stared at Annie confusingly. They were not familiar with that last word Annie had spoken.

"Aw okay..." Silver sighed.

Annie then took Mephiles and Shadow and left the room. The two young hedgehogs in the room felt lonely even though they had each other. Sonic took both plates from the tray and put them on the table.

"So..." Silver stared at the other, "how was last night?" He asked.

Sonic sat on the chair and giggled, "it was a rough night, he was so good! He knew exactly what to do and bred me good~" he sighed lovingly.

The statement concerned Silver. He didn't know what that meant exactly. He took a small bite out of his food and looked away.

"Do you think I should mate tonight?" He mumbled the question.

"Yeah totally! You'll love the feeling! It's definitely a bliss for me." The slightly older one grinned as he continued to eat his breakfast.

"Okay but...how do I know if it's gonna be good? How can you be so sure?"

"Silver, you know it when you know it. You just gotta trust him! That's what I did." Sonic  smiled.

"Oh..." Silver mumbled again, "I do want Mephiles to breed me, but I don't know why I still feel so nervous..." he sighed.

"Trust me, you really don't have to do anything while mating." The blue hedgehog stated before taking another bite of his food. "They know what to do so they'll take care of it."

The albino one still feel hesitant, but since Sonic had experienced it first he had no choice but to trust him.

Meanwhile, Shadow and Mephiles were also enjoying their breakfast in their room. They hadn't talk to each other ever since they got into the room, they only focused on their meals. That was until Shadow finally broke the silence between them.

"What do you think extraction mean?" He asked.

Mephiles shrugged. "Probably something about medicine."

"But the word doesn't sound too good for a medicine..." Shadow sighed. "I guess we can always ask our mates about that later."

"Speaking of mate." The pale hedgehog trailed off, "how was last night?".

Shadow blushed, he cleared his throat and looked away out of embarrassment.

"Sonic was...really trying to get me to breed him...so it was easy for me." He muttered.

His twin chuckled at the way he responded to his question, it was rare to see him being so shy like that.

"I'm happy for you, Sonic accepted you so quickly."

"Yeah, it's really cute." Shadow chuckled. "I wonder if we can take them to see Maria, they'll be a lot happier there than here."

"Honestly you're right." Mephiles said. "Since they're now ours, we should have the rights to take them to our home."

"Agreed." The red-striped nodded. "We should really discuss all this with Annie, this is too important for her to avoid." He said.

They both went silent again, for a while. Shadow smirked and stared at his twin.

"So...are you mating tonight?" He asked.

Mephiles sighed, "yeah, I guess I'll try. I'll have to get Silver's approval or else I'll end up with a scratch on the face."

"I'm sure Silver will accept you quickly." The other encouraged. "And besides, you're strong enough to prevent Silver from even reaching his claws at you."

"If I do that, that'd just make things complicated."

"No it won't because that'll never happen." Shadow smiled and the other smiled back.

"Thanks, Shadow. You're really pushing me, by the way." Mephiles chuckled.
