Sophie was a month pregnant. She could already see her stomach expanding. She was not happy about that. It was time for her monthly check up with Elwin. She leaped to Elwin's office. "Sophie! I've been expecting you! Now let's see how that baby's doing, shall we?" Elwin asked. Sophie sat down on the cot and Elwin started flashing different colored lights around her stomach. "Okay. The kid is perfectly healthy. And so are you. I can't wait to see how talented your kid will be" he said. "Me too. I just can't wait for this kid to be born" Sophie said, sighing. Elwin shrugged. "Have you thought of any names yet?" He asked. "Yeah. Me and Keefe decided that if it's a boy, his name will be Malum Fide Sencen and if it's a girl, her name will be Mare Calli Sencen. What do you think?" Sophie asked. "I like those names. They seem perfect" he said. Then Sophie remembered something. "Umm........ Elwin? Is it possible for the baby to have brown eyes? As a human I learned that if someone with blue eyes and someone with brown eyes have a baby, there is a 50/50 chance that the baby's eyes could be brown. I'm not sure if that's different in this case because we're elves, but I just wanted to make sure." Sophie said. Elwin processed this new information then he finally said "I think we'll just have to wait and find out. With you, anything is possible. That could be the same with your kids" he smiled. Then Sophie remembered something. "I actually communicated with the baby telepathically. I read it's mind and transmitted to it. Is that normal?" She asked. She knew that she had already asked Alden about this, but she needed to hear it from a doctor. "Aaaaah yes. Alden told me about this. It's not normal for other elves but you can do anything. And I will say the same thing Alden said. Don't try it again, just to be safe. Have you done it since that day?" He asked. Sophie shook her head. "Good girl. You can go now. Bye" "bye" then Sophie leaped away. When she arrived at Sungrove, Fitz was there. And he wasn't alone. He was with........MARELLA!?!?!?!?! Sophie couldn't believe it! Keefe let Marella in their house. He saw what Marella put Sophie through. But why was Fitz there? She walked into the kitchen, Kissed Keefe on the cheek and hung her stuff up on the hooks. Then she said hi to Fitz. Marella stood there looking at Sophie. Then she spoke. "Sophie I'm so sorry for everything I've done to you. I was put up to it. Stina is pure evil. Please forgive me?" She pleaded. Sophie sighed and said "sure. It was torture to see my first real friend join the evil side" then they hugged. They were quickly interrupted by Keefe who said "aaaaawwww! Girl hug!" he laughed. Sophie rolled her eyes. "So I heard your having a baby! That is so awesome! Congratulations!" Marella said. Sophie smiled. "Thanks. And I'm not trying to be rude, but, why are you here?" She said, still smiling. "I'm here with Fitz. We're going on a date tonight. we were each others number 3's on our matchmaking scrolls. Do you want to come with us tonight? Like a double date?" Marella asked. "Keefe?" Sophie said, turning to Keefe. "we've got nothing else going on tonight. Why not? It'll be fun. We haven't gone on a date in a while" he said. Sophie smiled again. So many good things are happening to her that day. Her baby is healthy, she made up with her first friend and now she has a double date tonight. What could be better? "Well. We should get going so we can get ready and we'll meet you at Siren Rock at 8:00. Sound good?" Fitz said. Everyone nodded then Fitz and Marella leaped away. That left Sophie and Keefe. "Its 5:30. We should start getting ready." Keefe said. He walked towards the stairs, but Sophie couldn't make herself follow. Keefe turned around. "what's wrong, Foster?" Keefe asked. Sophie smiled at the nickname. He hasn't called her that since before the wedding. He always called her Soph. "I just don't like the fact that Marella didn't ask for forgiveness until now. I mean, Five years later" Sophie said. Keefe came over to her and hugged her. He kissed her head. "I know. She was almost as bad as Stinka (yes. it's supposed to be Stinka) but you should give her a chance" he said. Sophie nodded, kissed his cheek, then went upstairs. If they were going to Siren Rock, she would have to dress a bit like she normally does. She settled on a purple tunic and black leggings. She braided her hair to the side and went to the kitchen. It was 6:00 now. When Keefe was done getting ready, they decided to go early so they could get some time alone. They headed up to the leapmaster and Keefe shouted "Siren Rock!" They stepped into the light and found themselves on a beautiful hill. There was a clear view of the stars above. She had been here twice. And both times, something tragic happened. First was the Quintessence debacle, Then there was the everblaze. The second time she was there with Fitz. She remembered the way his arms were around her. But she doesn't love Fitz. She loves Keefe. Fitz was just a grade school crush. Sophie followed Keefe to the middle of the hill. They put their stuff down and spread out a blanket. They sat down and looked at the stars. Sophie loved this. She looked to where Elementine is. Then she looked at Keefe. He was looking up too. Sophie reached into the basket and pulled out some purple cubes that taste like apples. "Hey Keefe. Catch!" Sophie said. Keefe sat up and Sophie threw the cube at his mouth. He caught it perfectly. "Score!" He said. "Your turn" he took the cubes and threw three of them at Sophie's mouth. She caught all of them. Keefe looked dumbstruck. "Wow. You got some skills Soph" he said. Sophie smiled triumphantly. Before they knew it, it was 8:00 and Fitz and Marella flashed in. They all said hi and they sat down across from Keefe and Sophie on the blanket. They also brought a basket. They sat there, eating and talking for a while. "Hey Keefe can I have some of those?" Fitz asked. Keefe handed him the purple-apple-cubes. He threw one into Marella's mouth. Sophie and Keefe giggled. "Y'know, Soph has some mad skills with catching things in her mouth. Care to demonstrate?" Keefe asked. "Sure" Sophie said. Keefe took five cubes. He threw the first two individually and the last three at the same time. She caught every one of them. Fitz and Marella clapped and Sophie and Keefe bowed. Then Sophie started to feel nauseous. She decided to stop eating so much. It was now 10:00 and Sophie started to fall asleep on Keefe's lap. When she woke up, Keefe was asleep on the couch and Sophie was leaning against him. She put her head back down and drifted off to sleep.
