Wednesday 18:30

Jane wrote in her journal which she had with her all day, everyday. It was filled with all kinds of notes and little things she didn't want to throw away (or she kept because the trash can was out of reach and she didn't want to get up). Anyways, this journal was so important to her because it was a document of her live. The good, and the bad things. The other students teased her with it, and tried to grab it sometimes. But she had learned to ignore them.

Wednesday 18:30
Senior Prom is fast approaching, everyone is talking about it. Of course, I don't have a date and neither does Em so we'll be going together. But it's a masquerade, so it's masks and all that stuff which is so cool! I mean, sure, you'll still be able to recognise everyone, but it'll be a great night to spend with Em.

'What're you writing?' Emily asked from behind, startling Jane.

Emily was a beautiful young woman with her perfectly straight auburn brown hair which always rested in a bun on the top of her head. She always wore dresses, which was something Jane would never do (yes, she would for prom but only because Emily talked her into it).

'Nothing', Jane replied with a sigh as she crossed her legs.

She was sitting on a bench in the park and the sun stood high in the sky. It was a beautiful view, on an even more beautiful day.

'Oh come on, Jane', Emily said as she climbed over the bench to sit next to her best friend. 'Let me read.'

'No, Em', Jane replied as she pushed the book deep into her backpack. 'It's private, okay?'

'Okay', Emily replied pouting. 'But I would love to know.'

'So, what are you wearing to the prom', Jane asked in an attempt to chance the subject.

She, of course, knew what her friend would be wearing to the prom as she helped to pick it out.

'You know what I'll be wearing, silly', Emily said laughing. 'But it's okay, you don't have to show me.'

'Thank you', Jane replied relieved.

The two of them sat alongside on the bench in silence for a couple of minutes. Janes mind worked overtime, she had no idea if she actually wanted to go to the prom. No one would notice if they didn't anyways, yeah maybe some teachers, but none of the people who really mattered.

'What's wrong?' Emily asked.

'What do you mean?' Jane replied confused.

'You're making that face again', Emily notes as she stood from the bench.

'Oh, I was just thinking.'

Emily nodded, but didn't seem satisfied with it but she decided to let it go. Jane also stood from the bench and grabbed her light blue backpack from the ground.

'Come', Emily said. 'Let's pick out our makeup for tomorrow!'
